Terrible internet service and customer service
I live in 100 plenty Road, Preston, Victoria.
I got this service relying on what was on their website: Fast internet. But since the very beginning Ive been having a lot of issues.
1. Even in the most frequent questions says that they will install a router in your apartment, they wont, you will be connected to a Building router or something like that.
2. All my devices are having problems when Im connecting: PS4, I phone, roku, laptop, tablet....
I cannot even watch the half of the movie when is interrupted. I cannot even play online on PS4 cuz it will disconnect me. I cannot even check the Instagram cuz it will keep loading....
The support team is always amazing!

It is super hard to get the internet. If there is zero star, then that’s my rating.
Slow, paid the most expensive plan, but what I got it is can’t get the internet at all. It is been for a year, the internet does get any upgrade. Can someone do something for this?

I've been a customer of both the dedicated nbn as well as the freedomshared service and I've always experienced unreliable service, with disconnections of the signal sometimes for hours. In the end I gave up and changed provider. I found a cheaper and much better option.
Slow, unreliable and unacceptable customer service
Once again, my internet is down. This is a very common issue with this provider. Rain, hail or shine, you know their internet won't work.
Quality service is not an attribute that can be attributed to this company.
And their customer service is the worse. To date, I have around 60 tickets logged and never received a response. When you call they, you will get the same answer that the issue has to be raised to the engineering team who will contact you within 24-48 hours. The last 12 issues logged with them over the phone, I have yet to ...receive a call back. I have also have 3 complaints raised including a complaint about no one responding to my complaints and still no one called me back. One of the worse providers in the world. I would never recommenced them.

I never knew what lag was until I met freedom internet. The unlimited fibre service becomes totally unusable during peak periods. Freedom internet charges just as much as Telstra does and offers an internet service that runs on two tin cans and a broken piece of string.
Been using their monthly plan for some time now and it's really bad.
-Your privacy is at HIGH risk - network channels security outdated and manipulated
They tell they will refund any downtime but they never do
I plan to sue them in the near time for privacy and data breaches
Every second day technical issues.
Worst internet ever. After one year of use freedom unlimited data, can easily say that this everything is just disaster. Im every week 4 times on chat, resolving problems.
Looks like for freedom is only matter that they charge $$$ for.
Kept charging me for data we weren’t using
Ultimately, Freedom Internet is a dodgy provider who kept telling us we were using 50-80GB of data between 11pm-5am causing our service to exceed its limit and to be instantly charged again. No warming of limit nearing, no option to stop internet before being charged again, no nothing. When I told them it’s just two of us in the house who stream Netflix and use our phones, the proceeded to tell me that children who play video games at night in my house (I don’t have any children) could be using up the data and that the data usage is nothing out of the ordinary on their end. Of course it’s not when it means they get $75 from us every two weeks for unexplained data usage.
I have had problems with my internet since joining. This month i was trying to get in contact with them due to my wifi dropping in and out. As a result of this i had to top up my personal phone as i was watching movies thinking i was on my wifi but i was not and my connection had dropped and my personal data was being used. I emailed numerous times and i had not looked on the site properly to get a contact number. I eventually found the number and got in contact with them. I was told to give them a few days however i asked for them to ring me. ...I was instead emailed which really set me off as i had specifically asked the service help desk to call me. I replied to the email not happy at all. I told them i was not happy to pay more money to reactivate the plan with the connection drop out but was told that the only way for them to check is for me to reactivate my plan. I said NO and haven't heard as of yet. I asked for a compensation as it was not my fault that Freedoms connection was not working and i have pic every time it drops out. All i was told is that i would get a compensation over the found over email it was an extension of my plan. I am at a loss and very uphappy with this level of customer service and quality. If someone was to ask me if i recommend i would say NO.
No technician in South Australia
I requested for a new connection at my residence here in Adelaide. I was asked to use the shared internet as installation team will install my individual model in couple of dats. 20 days have passed, 6 follow ups have been done but still no one contacted me from installation team. I was being asked to wait on every follow up. It was really frustrating and had to end the services on 20th day (yesterday). Horrible customer service. In one of the follow ups, I was told that installation team has busy schedule and currently there is no technician p...resent in south australia. Engineer will have to fly from Melbourne but not sure when will he travel. How can you provide such uncertain answers to a customer who has already suffered a lot waiting and following up. Please dont waste your money. I would suggest to go for optus mobile broadband which is cheaper than this. You get instant connection and you get mobility as well. I bought it yesterday and very happy with the speed.
Terrible customer service and connection
I have been experiencing terrible connection for over a year now and nothing has been done to fix it. The customer support has been terrible feeding me lines and not helping me solve my on going issue. The worst of the lot named [name removed] has a rude tone, hasn't helped at all and also hung up on me mid conversation, which is highly unprofessional. Now they are not replying to me emails or calls. Since then my connection has gotten worse, wireless calls such as discord or skype drop down to red bars, forget online gaming it is not possible ...to play and streaming netflix or other sites the quality will drop down at times. I do not recommend going with this company at all. Also the first month of me having this internet it was fine so i could get sucked in to go with them another month then the problems started after that, they would fix it again for a month then problems that have not been solved after 5 or 6 months that they said they would fix but have not.
Password & Connection troubles.
I was assisted by Claire with my connection & password recognition problem from my apartment wireless network . She was very helpful, friendly and patient. Great support provided obviously well trained staff.
Completely cancelled my plan because my account was $2 short or the payment.
Was so happy to have my $70/month plan with no lock in contract and unlimited internet. The payment bounced back ONCE and they never let us get our plan back again! That is so unfair. There was no warning that the plan was finishing. Had I have known, I would have made sure that there was always the money ready on my bank card.If you guys accepted direct debit out without the need for a bank card I wouldn't have ever had payments bounce back. Really really disappointed

Freedom Internet.. what a JOKE if I’ve ever heard one. Appalling, useless, waste of money and time. Never accountable. Changed their plans for revenue raising, but cant provide a service that works. Thank god im moving, I’ll never have to ring & complain the Internet is not working yet again. Never would I ever recommend your services. Ever! Constant drop outs, days on end. Yet, they still charge you. Of course!!! Seriously? Why not provide a service that your charging for, that works?!!! I was only a customer because the building only provide...s this service. Otherwise I would have paid double anywhere else so I you wouldn’t be my provider. The worst internet service provider on the market. You should all be disgusted. You will not be missed!

Company ripping me off
So I got 100GB for $50 aud which should be plenty for three people who usually work everyday and uses this as normal people does. But apparently we spend 90GB in just one day like WTH this is just ridiculous who will spend that much data in just one day. They are not giving me solutions they are trying to justify that we did spend all the data already and it’s been just two weeks since I got it and we went away to Sydney for a whole week so there’s no way we spend that data they can easily check and correct that but of course they have such a t...errible customer service who don’t even know what are they doing. This company ripped me off because don’t wanna give me my money back or give me the data I paid for. Do not get this service with them.

- SO: don’t be naive like me. This provider will NEVER get it right. Internet will ALWAYS be unreliable. Commerce commission need to investigate!

Originally asked by Freedom Internet to write a review (at the time my internet connection was great). Now 5 months later I’ve had non-stop problems with speeds. I’ve called them and logged incidents and complaints, I’ve sat with them and completed tedious troubleshooting steps and still I’m stuck with speeds of around 1mbps (which is comparable to ADSL 1 in an area far away from the exchange). Steer clear of this company, they will promise you fast and reliable internet, but what you get in return in disappointment and wasted time on the phone with their call centre. Pay the extra $10 per month and go with a reliable ISP like TPG, you’ll thank yourself
Unreliable. You call support and get "our technicians will look into this" and then again nothing happens. Overall very slow internet. Should cost 10% of what they actually charge. Do not waste your time. Saying this it seems that all internet providers are equally BAD. Never had this problem in Europe.
