Warning do not buy! We have had this suite, a battery operated recliner with chaise for 20 months. The seat ,for the chaise has completely compressed, there is no stuffing there at all. The seat has compressed so much the chaise part is on an incline! I have to put a cushion under my butt to make it comfortable. The fabric is pilling also. There's just two of us of average build and no kids or pets ! Not what I would expect from a $5000 lounge suite! Apparently it's normal wear and rear according to Freedom after they sent someone out to assess it. This is still under warranty! I am taking it further So beware ,do not buy, its not worth the money!

 Follow-up  · Fabric is starting to pill Recliners are working but the battery has to be recharged every couple of weeks. I was told we should get a long charge each time. Overall we were sold a dud! No one wants to know, the warranty not worth the paper it's written on! Poor poor show Freedom!

Purchased in at Freedom for $5,000.

I have, they sent out an independent repairers for assessment. Even though he told me there doesn t appear to be enough filling in the seats Freedom have said its wear and tear, which is absolutely not the case, I'm taking it further unless you can help

Well, dread to think what it would look like after a month if a family were using it.! Absolute piece of rubbish so poorly made! Will be taking it to accc and won't buy another item from freedom!!

Freedom Sorrento fabric lounge is NOT AS IT IS ADVERTISED ONLINE and material is INFERIOR! – This lounge material is TERRIBLE and this lounge is NOT AS IT IS ADVERTISED ONLINE by Freedom so beware!!!!! The material is inferior and started pilling a couple of months after purchase. The key features of the lounge that Freedom advertise online are not accurate - you CANNOT turn the seat cushions for fair wear and tear as there is a zipper at the back - you cannot 'flip them' because they are only covered on 1 side - cheap! We also chose to purchase the additional Protection Plan which is just a spray can - we have used as per the instructions over the past 8 months or so since purchase and the material still shows every mark. Is not worth the money!

I have numerous times and every time Freedom has not taken responsibility for false advertising - I deserve my hard earned money back - people who visit are horrified at the lack of quality - hardly good for Freedom - I will never purchase anything from Freedom again due to poor quality and shocking customer service - I have said the same thing to all our friends and visitors and on many Facebook renovation forum pages and the company build pages who we built with as so many people looking for new furniture for their homes - shame on you Freedom for not taking responsibility for false advertising of your products (and you know you did because you changed the wording post my and many other peoples complaints) and for not supporting your customers rights.

TERRIBLE – -------- Original message -------- PLEASE READ ALL THIS REVIEW AS I DON'T WANT OTHER'S TO BE FORCED TO FIGHT FOR THEIR RIGHTS WITH FREEDOM. One photo updating the different between middle seat, which has been sat upon on approx 10 times by visitors. NOW WE SIT ON OUR DINNING CHAIRS WHICH ARE FAR MORE COMFORTABLE. On 12th April 2024, I purchased a lounge suite from Freedom Furniture's Marion store. It arrived at our home on 20th July 2024.

This lounge suite cost $4,627, however, under 2 months of usage all three seats and back rests have collapsed. 

We have treated this lounge suite with great care eg:-

No shoe's allowed inside; No one standing or jumping up and down on it, etcetera.

When purchasing a $4,627 lounge suite, you would expect it to last longer then just short of 2 months without the foam collapsing.

As of today's date all 3 seats & back rests have become far more uncomfortable, due to the pain this lounge suite has caused me, it was necessary to pay for Physiotherapy treatments.

On the 17th September I rang Freedom's main office, spoke to a pleasant woman named [Name Removed], in the Warranty Department, who organised a gentleman named [Name Removed], to assess these problems.

[Name Removed] assessed our lounge suite on 2nd October and supplied his report to Freedom Furniture. 

However, I didn't receive a copy nor any contact from Freedom concerning [Name Removed]'s report.

The 1st occasion I rang Freedom Furniture, I spoke with a gentleman named [Name Removed] who informed me Freedom Furniture was under no obligation to fix our problems, which didn't correlate with how [Name Removed] reacted while he was looking at our lounge suite. 

I requesting a copy of [Name Removed]'s assessment report, [Name Removed] stated Freedom wasn't obligated to give me a copy, unless I paid Freedom Furniture to supply it to me.

The 2nd occasion I rang again, hoping I would be transferred to someone other than [Name Removed], who spoke to me in such a disgraceful manner which no customer should EVER be spoken to.  Hopefully, [Name Removed] didn't delete our recorded conversation as it would prove how inappropriately he spoke to me. He was so disrespectful, unprofessional and the shocking manner in which he treated me.

I have spoken to "Consumer and Business Services" who advised me under the "Australian Consumer Law" when a buying products and services, they come with automatic guarantees that they will work and do what I asked for.

I'm seeking Freedom Furniture to re-stuff all seat's, back rests & the arm rest, on the left side of the lounge suite with a proper foam called "High Density Foam"

I will give you 10 business day's from  the 11th November 2024 for Freedom Furniture to respond to this email. The 10 business day's will expire on 25th November 2024.

I didn't receive ANY contact from Freedom Furniture therefore, as of today's date I have contacted Consumer Protection Agency therefore they have accepted to represent me in this ridiculous, unprofessional situation.

Purchased in at Freedom SA, Marion for $4,627.

It's now 18th February 2025. Freedom's own Warranties are a false promise. After ACCC's extensive help with my lounge suite Freedom are still refusing to fix or refund us. Their Warranty Department person is the rudest person I've EVER dealt with. I'm discussed with this useless company who refuse to fulfil their own rules. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM FREEDOM. We've now been left with a awfully uncomfortable $4,627 lounge suite. This company has no honour.
