was an ugly hole in the door jamb where an electronic strike was fitted. This door is still broken with a temporary external stop. Over the last few days the entire frame is now loose and may well fall out. The door creaks when the door is opened. Multiple calls by the builders have gone unresponded to. One one occasion where someone did turn up, the advice was this door should never have been supplied for this duty. Having recently experienced Bradnams on another property, G James product well inferior. Sorry I used them and never would again. Product inferior and service near non existant.

We finally got a quote done for our entire build. A huge cost to us. That sales lady quit. The new sales person took over. New quote as we made some changes that we had to foot the bill for as our windows were in the production phase (our mistake). We didn't hear back, so we thought everything was going as planned. I rang up to see how production was going and to lock in a delivery date. The guy who answered was a bit miffed. Said he'd call back. I ended up going in to the branch as he never rang back. No one knew what was going on and we found out that the new sales person had quit too. Our windows weren't in production. So we paid for extra windows that we could've changed! No apology, nothing! Our builder ended up calling his mate in another branch to find out what was going on!
We finally got delivery. Builder installed them. Then we had multiple issues with the fixed panel and double hung windows. They were leaking! We had multiple visits by various team members. They reluctantly admitted that the stops inside the frame were incorrectly installed after we went through multiple tests on the window with a hose. The double hung windows hadn't had the drain holes punched out correctly too. The solution was to pump them full of silicone.
To top it off. The expensive Crimsafe wasn't installed correctly on one of the windows. They had to bash it in place. They put the blame onto me. No idea why?
They also left ladder marks on the paint from all the bashing they did on the double hung windows.
I've since done a bit of painting outside and noticed the rubber seals have shrunk on two fixed windows and left a large gap (1 inch). I rang the mgr. He's now quit too. New manager has his work phone. He said to send through my details and he'll be in touch. Once again, nothing!
This was ment to be our forever home. Unfortunately we've only got a seven year warranty on the windows. I have zero faith in these windows! We'll end up selling as I'm sick of checking these windows every time we get rain.

labour time (and I thought I should go with the original window suppliers for a thorough job) so I accepted the quote. The two technicians came in, rushed the job and "finished" in ONE hour. They missed a door seal in their haste (I caught it before they left) but then when we went to lock up, they had installed the new handle incorrectly and it wouldn't lock properly (they came back and fixed it, no apology). Incorrect lead time and then no service – Lead time was incorrect at time of order. No contact while waiting and then advised 1 week prior to original quoted date that it would 3 weeks longer. Had to source an alternate product from another supplier as window was need to complete a renovation and would have thrown all other trades out. Not only no apology, but no acknowledgement of my complaint. No window and no refund as yet.
3 weeks on and still not fully resolved ... nothing proactive, have to constantly follow and chase multiple people ... be wary

Sliding Door Glass Crack - Customer Service & Warranty – Soon after moving into our new apartment (3/9/2021), we had Solarmasters apply solar film on our windows & a sliding door. Subsequently, we noticed a crack developing in our sliding door glass. G.James (suppliers/installers of the door/glass) advised us that by applying the film, we have negated our warranty on the glass. Solarmasters (suppliers/… Read more
installers of the solar film) advised us, that G.James were long time customer of theirs, this was the first they heard of their products rendering the warranty on the glass void. There must be 1000's of customers who are not aware of this situation), with an almost $2000.00 cost to us each time. It is not intuitive for the lay person to understand how, by applying solar film on the glass will cause it to crack, in addition, the warranty statement is very vague indeed. If this issue was brought to our attention prior to installing the film, we clearly would not have applied the film (we have 13 other windows now at risk)
If the product reliability cannot be guaranteed after solar film is applied, why is it on the market or how are Solarmasters and other suppliers/ installers of solar film still in business!!!
This clearly has much broader implications for consumers, and I believe is very poor customer service complicated by a vaguely worded warranty with no clear warning to consumers of the risk.

Terrible Customer Service – We requested a quote on the 20th August 2021. We have emailed/rang regarding our quote and were told it was on its way. I have just received an email (18th Oct) notifying us that they have closed off their quotes for the year and will not be quoting on our windows and doors. Good quality screens – It's good quality nothing much more to say. Use to always see GJames screens on trains and honestly just think its important to support the factories in Australia. I have GJames glass in my house and works perfectly fine, came early etc. People usually only review products when they are dissatisfied so keep that in mind when reading reviews guys :) Show reply
Trying to balance the reviews a little – I have used G.James quite a few times over several years for my work environment. Not big jobs, just the occasional couple of pieces of small glass.
