Good points let down by poor performance
Let's be clear - if you buy a Forerunner 935 you are not going to be disappointed. Good battery life and genuinely interesting fitness metrics (e.g. stress level, R.E.M. sleep, etc). Very light and comfortable to wear and supports multiple sports and activities.
So why only three stars?
Firstly because in multiple areas it works worse than the cheaper Forerunner 735xt. It regularly fails to notify of emails/SMSs (and when it does they are delayed). Note using same phone as the 735xt which never failed to instantly notify of emails/SMSs. ...GPS performance is worse - On the 735xt pressing RUN and almost immediately the watch reported GPS and tracked the distance, but on the 935 the GPS takes at around 30 seconds to lock on. Then there is the display - The same watch face is easier to read on the 735xt than on the 935. The font is slightly bigger on the 735xt. This is made worse because while both screens are exactly the same size (across) the 935 watch case is several mm larger, making the screen look even smaller. Side by side the 735xt display is actually brighter
