Buyer Beware - worst customer service
I purchased a Patron after about 4 months of research. The experience through the sales process was terrible as I couldn’t get any feedback which should have scared me off. I stupidly preserved as it was thinking trailer I wanted.
4 months on I am still waiting for the extras which form a dominant part of their marketing after numerous broken promises.
I have left Multiple phone messages, emails and facebook messages (thinking about resorting to sending a carrier pigeon). Worst customer service I have experienced in a very long time.

Black series dominator
In all we are very disappointed with our dominator, after sales service is shocking, after our first trip in tassie the sink plug assembly fell apart, floor inside the camper lifted up, 5 reflectors fell off, and when in contact with management in Sydney I'll accept that first response was very fast but after 7 weeks no more contact, ringing or email not a soul wanted to know, the management I am dealing with is a joke.

Setup Instructions
Just purchased a Dominator and received the 15 minute hand over. Got the camper home and found no setup instructions and could not find any video online that explains the setup process. The awning, tropical covers, etc were not labelled and it became very frustrating. The Dominator is a good camper trailer but GIC really fails on the sales hand over.

Poor service & bad stitching otherwise good camper!!
We have recently purchased a Black Series Alpha Camper Trailer and were very excited to head out for the first time camping to find that setting up two of the tent corners that you peg down have stitching that has come apart and ripped and we can no longer peg two corners down, this also allows water to leak into the tent. Read moree. As we live in the Central West NSW this incurs a 6hr round trip to drop it off and then a 6hr round trip to pick it up. We are still trying to negotiate with [name removed] (which we are not getting very far) as this is not convenient or cost effective for us. The after sales service is terrible and absolutely appalling. We have to constantly make phone calls, as [name removed] does not return our calls. Stuff forgotten and broken!!
I have had my gic black series extreme commando for about 3 weeks now! Because I got the demo model I didn't get any warranty which I was fine with thinking, they wouldn't sell me it with something broken! I got it home set it up and it was missing the owning and the outside floor! Which they rectified and gave them to me! But then I went to use the tap in the sink and the pipe snapped off the tap, so I went and bought and new tap! Now 3 days before I'm ment to go away, I fill up the water tank(which is extremely hard because the hole is so sma...

Tent is below standard
When we bought our camper we were really looking forward to the ease and convenience of it. We were very sorry when we got it, the twelve foot tent is not as easy to put up as we thought it would be. We had put it up twice when we found that the corners had pulled out (we had been setting up a canvas cabin tent for years, so we know not to over extend it), when we called the company to ask about getting it fixed the abused us and told us it was our fault and would not fix it. My husband has a bad hip and i have a bad arm so we thought it would be easy to set up, wrong again, it was a pain nothing would sit right and it was hard to pull out unless you left a door or window open to stop the suction. The trailer is basically fine however to get to the spare wheel you have to undo the bolts on top and it is too close to the rock guard on the front, the locks on the storage box are hard to open, the water tank had no breather hole so when you filled it it spat it back at you all the time. The tank is not as big as it was supposed to be. We did not even gt the bike rack that was supposed to come with it. The zipper on the cover was very stiff and used to catch all the time, it also frayed at the end so it was hard to put together to do up. One of the stabilizer legs broke, the locks on the draws are sticky and hard to open, the screen on the door has holes around the edge from where it pulls when you open and close it, if it is not exact it is very hard to open the door, the window Velcro does not match up when you close them. The supports under the bed have all bent and we are not huge people. My husband is a qualified mechanic and is able to do anything he puts his mind to and we have been lucky that he has been able to make some modifications to make things easier and work properly, but we still have a lot to do to it because the tent is falling apart. NOT HAPPY WITH THE WORKMANSHIP ON THE TENT AT ALL. Also the cover leaks water and the trailer leaks dust. The trailer is the only part that has stood up to our expectation apart from a couple of minor things poor workmanship, warranty does not seem to exist, tent is poorly put together,nothing is reinforced on the tent.2 comments

I wasn’t in the company back then Leanne, but GIC is sorry if a heated two way discussion was felt to be abusive. Truly. As an olive branch, should you wish to upgrade to the latest 2014 Black Series 12’ Deluxe Tent; there is a $600 discount available to your family. I trust this act of good faith demonstrates GIC accepts truthful reviews. I've only used this camper once and it stood up to quiet a heavy night of wind and rain, with another camper near mine bent poles and had lots of leaks. I probably wouldn't recommend this camper to any of my friends as the service was terrible. I have worked in the motor industry for 19 years and have never seen such bad service from salesman.
Salesman who don't know the product and can't answer your basic questions, or they just don't want to. I think the ones they have on the showroom floor are of better quality than the unit you will act...
Read moreually receive. The paint work is a joke and there is no way they put as many coats as they say or even an undercoat. Anyway I have already made some repairs and improvements as it was all too hard to discuss it with the staff it was easier just to do it myself. He had me wait for 20 minutes without even acknowledging that I was there, and then gave me the run around with registering the trailer. If i was the owner of this company I would be very concerned with the build quality of the product and the quality of staff that he employs, even if this employee does drive a Porsche. I look after three states in a Sales Managers capacity and cannot believe how I was treated on picking up my trailer. The build quality is ordinary to say the least, but can cop some of that as it was cheap. I have already had the water pump handle on the kitchen break, and that was before we even left on our first trip. I have fixed it myself because I couldn't be bothered with taking it back to them. Overall you get what you paid for and for 4k with all the options what can I say, but if I was to do it again I would probably spend a couple more and buy a better trailer. Tent qualities are all around the same for the imported tents unless you buy an aussie made canvas tent. I will be using this over the Easter break so I hope it stands up to the critism I have given. Cheap camping. Bad service on pickup by certain sales man who thinks he is the sales manager.Questions & Answers

We recently purchased a new 2019 "demo" Sergeant. We were wondering what size propane bottles fit in the factory racks? The website says an 8.8lb bottle, but we could not find such a thing anywhere online. Is is just a standard 20lb tank? Thank you in advance.

In the sergeant you can fit 4.5kg gas bottle holders.
