Multiple repairs over 3 years
We purchased this in 2018. We have thus far had to call for repairs for five separate issues. Most recently the oven door has failed and the gas has stopped working for a second time.
Purchased in April 2018.
Absolute rip off. Not worth the hassle.
Bought ours from Harvey Norman. 3 months out from the end of the warranty period the hinge on the door was stuffed and no longer closed any more. Then the gas oven feature stopped working. Electric oven now takes 3 hours to roast a tray of chicken legs. The gas Cooktop regulator sticks shut and it's potuck if you can cook a meal on it or not. We have replaced the regulator twice now and still the same issue. The fan in the oven only works when the wind is blowing North and a unicorn is hurdling the rainbow and the noise of it when it does...work is like a freight train coming through the kitchen. I have tried to get a Glem technician to come and deal with it but I am not prepared to sink another $360 ish dollars into this piece of crap. Sick to death of it and cannot wait to see the back of it. Totally over priced for the actual second rate product that it is. And no thanks Glem, I will not contact you with more details. I will drop it at the dump where it belongs when I can manage to afford a decent replacement.

4.5 years old and i'm thinking of chucking it and trying again
I bought this oven from Harvey Norman for $3154 in September 2015 and have never been happy with it really. Its now 4.5 years old and i'm looking at needing to replace the door hinges for the 2nd time as they've lost their pull, so loose heat. Since I've had it the following have been replaced: door hinges, 3 or 4 switches that light the burners and the oven (they apparently burn out if held sparking too long), the ovens thermocouple, some plastic trim on the sides that have the chrome peel off with heat (they did the same thing in a few mon...ths). Now the knobs have all discoloured and look awful. I think that's mostly from the heat leaking with the weak hinges. All that work was done at about 2 years old under extended warranty, so it didn't cost at that time but still not good after 2 years or so. The door hinges need replacing again now, looks to be $100 to $200 for parts if i do it myself. Pricey hinges that fail quickly. What really annoys me though is that even when new the oven never got hot enough. I bake bread and need 500F but i can only get 450F out of it not matter what. Its seems designed to start venting heat too early via a fan rather than keeping it in the oven. The wall behind the oven gets so hot i could almost bake the bread on it!. I've tried gas and electric and 450F is all you get. That's not what even the cheap ovens do. Basic ovens get to 500F, but not this one, so frustrating. And the external metal parts get too hot to touch. You have to be careful, lucky my kids are old enough not to be an issue now. More heat that should be in the oven not outside. If i was looking for an oven i'd seriously give Glem a miss. They've had these issues for years and when i bough this i was suspicious of these problems due to reviews i'd read but the oven was one of only a few that fit my spot and the look and style and dual heat was attractive. I even spoke the head sales rep about these reported issues prior to purchasing and was told they were all fixed. Typical sales, shouldn't have believed him, looks like they are all still there. My purpose in posting this is to warn people so more don't waste their money. For what I paid for it i really think this should be in a much better state than it is after this relatively short time. I understand things need maintenance but this is excessive in my opinion. So my advice is look elsewhere for a new oven.

my 60 cm freestanding s/s all gas oven operates without much fuss but after just 6 mths rusting in warming draw , not just small surface rust but large penetrated spots of rust. Smeg tell me this has never happened before , would like stove back to check. They inform me that I must dry the warmer at least once per week whether or not it is used. They tell me they a happyto replace but will void rest of warranty by doing so

Glem ovens do not work
This oven was purchased from Harvey Norman for approximately $2500 around 2.5 years ago. We have experienced continual issues with the oven door not closing properly, external facings overheating and now it seems that it is failing to cook properly at all. Roasts which previously took around 90 minutes to cook now are taking over 3 hours and the oven temperature control needs to be turned up to 250 degrees which is ridiculous. We definitely will not be buying another oven from Harvey Norman or Glem. The service man that came out to us after the first failure of the door told us that he always had call outs for this brand. Stay away.

surfaces extremely hot
love the oven, fulfils it's purpose cooks very well. The problem is all the metal surfaces get extremely hot when oven is in use. I do not think this could be intended. This has been since new. we have never experienced this before with other ovens. Grand kids no longer allowed in kitchen whilst oven on after nasty burns.
Purchased at Harvey Norman.
Oven is SO LOUD embarrassed to use. The noise is unbearable and you can not hear anything in entire area of house while oven is on. Impossible to use while entertaining
Purchased in February 2014 at The Good Guys for $2,000.00.
5 years old and it now unusable.
I purchased this dual fuel Glem oven from Harvey Norman in a package deal for well over $3000 to replace a 22yo Lofra oven. Upon delivery the door hinges were faulty, this was replaced. Within 24 months all the facia writing had worn off, the nobs had discoloured and the inside of the doors reflective black surface had come away. Over the last few months igniting a gas burner would occasionally trip the oven fuse now today the ignition clicker is now stuck on tripping it within one minute of using the oven rendering it useless and unusable and ...dangerous, service from Glem in the past has been very poor if not down right rude. I am furious that any company at this price point can put a poorly made faulty product into the market that I'm now looking at court action as I see so many have experienced many of the same issues, do not buy this brand it will not provide a good ownership experience.

Love my stove
I have the Bi-energy cooker, it is awesome as the oven can work on gas or electricity. Depending on what I cook I can select the fuel I use. So easy to clean the oven as everything hidden.
Purchased in March 2017 at Harvey Norman for $2,000.00.
commercial grade styling
love this stove. so much room with the way the burners are placed, the wok burner is brilliant. the jet for the oven didn't work the first time but once replaced with the correct one it was brilliant. love the fact that the oven is either gas or electric and the temp is spot on. very easy to clean and the cooking grids on top are easy to remove and clean.
Glem oven A joke
Absolutely disappointed my oven door doesn't close and then ignition starters stop working within 8 months of owning. Contacted glem and was told they will not warrant the fault and it would cost me $220 to have just the hinges replaced so angry that a large company can't warrant their design fault
Bad customer service, not good product.
I had the oven installed my new house, HN staff advised us to clean with a product they use(which we did). The Splash back became rusty on certain area not the whole lot.. the cast iron rings also became rusty, the timer started flickering 6 months after installing ( was not a big deal) it takes a few attempts to ignite the stove.. I called the customer service 2.5 months ago and told to send some photos, but no reply.. tried again last week, and sent the photos again...no reply..so I called them, the lady told me it’s misusing..and it’s not ru...st..it’s oil stains. Misused !!! We only use it for cooking ...and trust me we clean it every time we use it with the finest products..and we can tell if it’s oil stain or rust. We didn’t like the comment of misusing the stove, I think it was rude. The lady sent me a replacement cast iron rings..thanks for that. But you should consider getting a different brand..most reviews saying it gets rusty and their customer service will not help much..we will take the issue to consumer affairs..
Has to stay dirty! What a crock
The stove cooks well but when you pay this sort of money you dont expect it to 1. Rust, 2. Have the markings on the control panel wash off, 3. Have the oven temperature indicator lights fall off, 4. Have to hold the knob in for up to a minute so the flame will remain on.
Unit was less than a year old when we first called for warranty action. Took almost 2 months for them to tell us, not to use anything to clean it except a damp cloth, dont use the stainless steel cleaner, then the markings wont disappear from control panel, which was eventual...
Continually having problems
After a lot of research, we chose this stove to put in our newly built home. It is, and still is, a piece of junk! Everything we cooked in it burnt on the bottom, so after a technician looked it over, we received a metal tray which sits in the bottom to reduce the heat coming up so fast. He also moved the thermostat.
The tray reduces the heat, but it still doesn't cook evenly.
Next we had problems with the ignition, and we needed to turn the oven on to get any of the hotplates to turn on. We also had problems as the door wouldn't close prop...
Extremely hot to touch
We have had a Glem oven replaced after the metal on the external part of the oven heated to extremely high temperatures. We believed this to be a fault, though we're warned by Glem, that they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't happen again. Sure enough the new oven gets every bit as hot. Do not assume that you are buying a quality product because it carries a hefty price tag. I will not buy Glem again.

Brought our house last December
Had a new stove fitted but not used
Happy with stove except for when cooking pea and hame soup it sticks on bottom
Have tried all burners but can’t get the heat down enough
I spent a lot of money remodelling my kitchen and decided on the glem oven as it had the features I was looking for. I wish I had done some research... I now have a beautiful kitchen that I can’t entertain in as the oven is SO LOUD no one can hear themselves think.
I contacted glem under warranty where they sent someone out to fix. But same problem started up again and I was told no other options left to resolve.
6yrs on and I’m too embarrassed to turn the oven on, even my kids beg me not to as they can’t stand the unbearable noise through the house.
I've just had my new Glem GLCER64 stove top installed on Friday. Used it last night and the hob has marks on it already, why is this? I wish I could put a photo up. After using, I wiped the surface with a wet (water!) cloth. I'm appalled.
it may have had a reaction to something that your pot you used is made of. research what pots are recommended to use with a glass hob.
