Can't understand Glo Birds Solar Generation figures
Appears to be a unexplained discrepancy in Solar Feed in KWhrs over the past 7 months. Jan & Feb at least 50kw hrs below Nov & Dec with no explanation. Have had this problem with Glo Bird before and they blamed Powercore for the meter readings. Now maybe the time to shift to another Energy provider. The reason we moved to Glo Bird from Origin was that Glo Bird offered more reliable feed in in formation. Once they have your business, that operate exactly as Origin.
Worst company I have ever used
Charged me $300 (before discount, $230 after) per month for the gas. Never used that much in my entire life. Called and done the accurate reading myself and adjust to $100 something per month. Switch to another company and bill back to normal(Less than $50 a month)
A pleasure to deal with
I've been with globird in the past and they've proved to be reliable and inexpensive with great customer support. Michelle helped me switch back to them after I moved quickly, all the information I needed was provided efficiently and comprehensively. The only issue I have with them is the lack of online account management, but honestly I haven't really found myself in a position to need it.
Very Happy with Globird
Have been with Globird for two years for electricity. Recently did a comparison and they are still by far the most competitive for our needs. Application Denied. Be careful to the rating trap!
My application was denied, which is perfectly fine. However, they told me that it was due to my credit rating from Equifax was lower than 6 hundreds something. You know what? I did contact Equifax and they told me that my credit history is perfect with no negative factors and it is not possible that my credit score will be lower than that. I have also used Credit Savvy that they recommended to check my credit score and it is over 800.
I contacted Globird afterward to told them something seemed off. However, their staff told me any other story ...this time. He kept saying that the decision was from their system and they had no means to know what denied my application and the result could not be revised. What he said was completely different from the first staff. I did manage to contact the first person I spoke to and he promised me that they will talk with Equifax. Now I am waiting for their response. I honestly cannot trust them after all I have gone through, but I have no choice but wait. If my credit score is really that low, I will accept the fact that my application is denied. However, it is totally unacceptable that they kept telling me their decision is correct while I just wanted to tell them something went wrong. ** UPDATE on 03/02/2020 ** I contacted them 1 week later. They did agree that there was a mistake on the credit check, but they still rejected my application solely due to this comment. What they have said was that due to that I have made a comment here, they won't take me as a customer. Basically I finally understand why this company "seems" to have higher rating. It seems that they picked customers who can give them good rating in the long run, and use "credit check" as a smokescreen to reject you. So, the one who is being rejected may not post a bad comment, and the only customers left are the one who will give a good comment. If you post a bad one, it is very likely that they will terminate your services. Is it a fraud in the rating system? I dunno. Do you want to sell your soul and honesty to a gas company? I know you will know the answer.
Amazing customer support and service
I was struggling to pay a bill and the staff were understanding and efficient. The company allowed them to reduce the amount and arrange a really achievable payment plan. I was late for my second payment but when I called the staff member was so kind and able to arrange my payment immediately. This helped my stress so much and made the whole thing really simple and stress free.
I feel I have made the right choice to go with Globird Energy. Sign up was quick and no hastle, their rates are quite competitive, and they are an honest company.
Had a couple issues receiving the bills via email, but nothing that the excellent customer service team couldn't help with.

Make the switch you won’t regret it!!
I was with Origin Energy for both my electricity and gas for over 12 years and after doing a thorough review of providers when my contract expired I was extremely impressed with Globirds rates which are very competitive. I should have made the switch years ago. Even the transition went smoothly and Globird kept me informed on the process. I love no lock in contracts and I can pay by bpay rather than direct debit.
Application denied but thank you
My friend recommended me to switch to Globird but my application was denied, but thank you for that, that made me did further research to find the cheapest retailer and found that kogan energy is the cheapest for both gas and electricity for me. These people shouldn't be in business, not only expensive but has also wasted people's time. My friend will also switch to Kogan energy.
Application rejected last minute
Changing my rating to 5 star, issue has been resolved. Daniel has called and explained, and I was given a better offer. Waiting for the cancellation from another provider before signing up. So far best customer service when dealing with energy retailer. Kudos!
Application was rejected last minute which was frustrating, I have no default whatsoever on my credit file and just recently approved for credit card with 40k limit. Please think twice before applying, they will just give more stress when moving home.

Was with them for 2.5 years, never had any issues
Signed up with Globird for electricity in Apr 2017, as they had the best rates in our area according to the vic gov energy compare web site. When they started doing gas as well we swapped from our previous provider to be with Globird as well.
Once everything was on we never had any issues (outages etc) requiring us to contact them.
Bills were emailed monthly (electricity every month, gas every two months) and we paid them online. As long as you pay them within two weeks of the notice date they offer good discounts.
Disconnecting with them ...due to changing housing circumstances. Process to disconnect was straight forward, just called them and told them when we were moving out/would like the services disconnected. There is a disconnection fee (was told $22 each for electricity and gas) that will be added to our final bill. Overall: Good service, if I find myself in the position to manage a property's electricity/gas again, as long as their rates were still competitive I would be happy to sign up with them again.
