All started great didn’t have any complaints but If you are looking at building a house and don’t want to get surprise bills of $10,000 after you have got finance and signed all contracts then do not go with go homes or any other builders run by BGC. I have also heard of a lot more people this has happened to. They are a complete disgrace and I can’t tell you enough to stay away

Go Homes starts the process with poise and blew most of the competitors away with their pricing and inclusions, please heed my warning and stay away from them, from what I have seen first hand the quality is good without complains by friends who have used them on the finished product,
however after they have been taken over by BGC they have been appalling, we were waiting 6 months just to get a prestar...

I am very unhappy.
I signed PWA in April 2020 everything was finalize. But after signing the PWA they started giving me shocks one after the other . I am building home first time so I did not have much experience about the building companies. In the first 12 months , they were keep compressing my home design.
When signed papers house price was different, but after 6 months suddenly they gave me a new price for the new building contract which was increased by $16000. They played t...he trick and cheated me. I flighted with them to issue the contract otherwise I still struggle to get contract out . They were keep pushing my file behind and Go homes manager switched off his phone and never replied my emails in this period of time. This is how they treat with their clients. After 4 months of signing the contract, they again reduce the alfresco size without asking me. I was scared they are keep decreasing my house size without asking me and increasing price. I do not know how much time they will take to build my house. Do not build with them. There are so many good building companies in the market they will charge you little bit extra money but they build your quality home and on time.

Worst Company to Build House with
I am so tired of dealing with this unprofessional company since PWA signed in June last year getting any update is like pulling teeth. They called them self the biggest Builder in Perth but as per my experience they are the worst and specialist in turning the First home building experience into the worst nightmare of your life. I would like to share my timeline and the main reason of writing this review is to spread awareness amongst other first home buyers to stay far away from GO Homes or other BGC companies they share resources with. PWA Sig...ned in June, Contract signed in Nov, Pre start Jan, Job in Scheduling for 7 weeks, construction started in March, Slab down April and since then bricks are sitting on my slab. My house is amongst display homes and all other houses in the surrounding are either completed or at lockup stage. Right behind my home is GO Homes display home which is also closed to completion now. They have trade available to built their display home but can't even provide me brickwork starting date. Construction Consultant said "well this is what you expect when Building in boom" well I started looking around to Build before the grants were announced and you should have mentioned this to the clients when showing them sweet dreams by your sales team in your display homes. I will make sure that I pay regular visits to their display home to share my experience with new home buyers so that they could make wise decision before choosing this useless company. These are only few things to share. The whole process is an unforgettable and worst experience including wastage of months of my time with their in-house Broker who was also useless. Only Quickest progress so far is that 1 construction Consultant and 3 supervisors has been changed. This is BGC greed which has put us all in this miserable situation. They have signed up way more contracts than their capacity and now struggling to provide any service.
We are up to week 36 of our build and we haven’t even reach lock up yet. It’s so frustrating watching all these other BGC and Go Homes builds that are going faster then ours. Our slab was poured December 2020.
When we had our plate high meeting (9-6-21) the site Supervisor said the roof would be on in two weeks and he anticipated that we would be moving in late September early October(depending on delays)!

If you have rural don’t GO homes
Having signed up last year just before COVID hit we where fully understanding of the delays not only with banks but also builders. The sales consultant was amazing if only the same could be said about GO homes. Fast forward to September/ October everything ready to go except we haven’t gone any where. The lack of communication and sheer frustration with the build has got to the point we are considering changing builders. Prior to signing up we where assured a house on a rural property had been done before. We asked again if we needed to start ...certain earthworks, building envelopes etc we where assured no they would do it. We where privy to numerous emails bouncing between different people each with no understanding of how to obtain the building envelope which I might add my husband had to do the engineering drawings for, the building envelope by GO homes had the wrong orientation. My husband took ownership and went to the council with the application. We also started to clear the block as nothing was happening. We asked to atleast do are Prestart in one day as my husband works away and I work shift work. We where told “we have over 400 clients” how fantastic to feel so undervalued! did I mention we signed up a year ago? We honestly have absolutely no faith in this process. We are having phone calls ignored, emails not replied to. We are completely disheartened by the whole experience. I honestly have lost the complete excitement of building with Go homes because of the sheer lack of communication, being treated as a number, and because we are not building on a “stock standard” block of land and the inexperience around this. After reading other reviews I’m am extremely worried that this build will be a nightmare from beginning to end, at this rate my husband will start building our home... UPDATE 27 July 2021 so we still do not have a definitive slab down date let alone any thing else. We have done prestart and that is all since I last wrote our review. Please do not be fooled by the “ritzy” show room it is a smoke screen to an absolute appalling building company. Emails and phone calls still are not replied to. We have cleared are land which in its self was a absolute nightmare as go homes supplied a company with NO knowledge of the area are land is in. We had to hire someone privately to do a competent job! 18 months since signing and still no house pad or schedule WOW. Thanks GO homes for destroying are dream

House of horrors
Well it took 10 months for the slab down the bricklayer started 5 weeks ago as he was laying the bricks I mentioned about the flashing /damp course termite barrier , I also emailed Go Homes about it but never had a reply. Now they are cutting the bricks out of the bottom row of a 31 course high wall 24 meters long. This is absolutely heartbreaking, The garage door was to low which has been rectified they haven’t installed the tie down rods in the garage. I have had to go to a building inspector now to get a report 5 weeks the bricklayer has bee...n here and we haven’t got half of a 3x2 on a cottage block built yet. I can only warn you to stay well away from this bunch of thieves $285.000 of heart breaking misery an update they are going to pull the wall down we checked the other side the damp course is 6 courses high so the half a house that’s taken 5 weeks to build half of that half is now going to be pulled down, they put all the bricks back in but only put the flashing at the ends were you can see it somebody broke holes in the wall guess what no flashing. This company has cost us thousands and they don’t give a crap /30th June We will hand you over a beautiful house they told me that went to the tip well it doesn’t get any better I paid for an upgrade to the 3 toilets but now they are not available any more so I have to accept the toilets they are providing I’ve been told they are the standard ones but I paid for the upgrade but won’t get a credit. 24 July well they built the two pillars on the front of the house at 390mm then they realised that they should be 490mm so they wrapped another skin of bricks on them so when it gets rendered it will crack not only that but they are miles out of square check photos.we thought when we got to construction it would be easier but no the greed driven salesman with his lies deception and incompetence has cost us thousands .My neighbour kindly let this lot remove the fence and put up a temporary one as we are building on the boundary SIX MONTHS AGO I can understand why he is not impressed every time the wind gets up it’s flapping and banging, But does GO Homes care I don’t think so
Extremely painful experience with Go Homes
I have been a loyal customer of Go Homes and has built 5 times and made 2 referrals. However, I am extremely disappointed with the company. I have been waiting for the landscaping (part of the package) to be completed. I have multiple answers from different Go Homes employees for the start date of landscaping:
- Contract Admin [Name Removed]- landscaping to start on 31st May
- reply from the Go Homes Portal (Customer care) - 4th of June
- reply from the supervisor that landscaping will start early June
Finally Go Homes has informed us that th...e landscaping will be done on 18th June. However, on 21st June, my property manager told me nothing has been done yet again. I was devastated by all these lies after lies. I have been communicating with Go Homes since 10 June on this issue. The whole landscaping is poorly organised and the communication has been horrible. Nobody has even bothered to update us that the landscaping date is not done. The delay is causing many issues to me including my future tenant has to choose another place to live as the place is not ready. I am losing rental income every week. I desperately need help!!! Look at the images, they look like rubbish dump rather than a newly built home!
Frustrating and a painful experience throughout the process, no commitment on commencement of Works.
No commitment on commencement of work after 6 months of signing the contract and 12 months from signing the prelim contract. No transparency, poor communication and no commitment to any work are only a few out of many other trade-offs. Also, look out for other companies they shares resources with.
Horrible experience and nowhere near finished
If you’re wanting to build a house I would suggest going elsewhere. I can’t comment on the company it’s self but the two people you do not want to deal with are [Names Removed]. I’d appreciate the names not being removed as they are stated in other reviews and people should know who to avoid.
From bad to worse this experience has been. Yes, we have ended up in the rush with everyone else wanting to build at the same time, but we actually started before the grants were around and we’ve given plenty of lenience around being patient in these busy...times. To start it all off, we signed up with Go Homes and paid our 3k deposit, then we were made to resign with an additional 10k added to our house price with no gain for us whatsoever. Then after we’ve signed (for the second time) we get our site works fee back. This doesn’t include a septic system, which we had previously asked about and was told it was all included, but now it’s not and that’s an extra 20k cost to us at the end of the build. Also the track they had decided to make to our house goes straight through big beautiful trees that they would then need to cut down, yet there is already a track that is plain to see that goes around the trees.

Lack of professionalism and poor customer service
Lacks of professionalism, transparency, organisation and customer service. Delays at every turn, lacks of accurate communication and just poor performance all round. They hide any feedback that does not paint them in a good light. Take long time to response you. No progress since the first PCI when house is nearly ready for hand over.
Had enough and not even at construction stage yet..
Our first impressions of Go Homes was outstanding. We started our journey with a wonderful sales representative who went out of his way to help us start our building process.
Then we moved to our Pre-Start appointment with great excitement. We were well prepared for this meeting but unfortunately the same can not be said about our contract administrator. From this point our journey went sour.
We made sure all of our quotations that was asked for ( Tiles, carpets, blinds, kitchen cabinets and countertops) was done in advance but it seemed that...they were not even looked at. The CA was not prepared. We walked out of that meeting feeling extremely confused and worried. It seemed like she had very little knowledge of the Company and it's products. The lack of correspondence was shocking, waiting a week on occasions just for a response on a question. Just to mention a few things: We asked if we can change the 900mm oven to 2 X 600mm ovens. One week she said yes with no additional cost, the next week no, we need to pay $1579.
The best part of our build experience with go homes was the saleman [Name Removed], he gave 110%. Unfortunatley the rest of the process was terrible, from trying to get information from the construction consultant and the site supervisor to the appalling finishes. Its been a long journey and at 34 weeks from pad down we're not at handover yet.

Slab down for 9 weeks and still no bricks up
Signed my contracts in June and got My slab poured on the 7th of October and I’m still waiting for a brick layer to start. Also trying to get info and updates from my construction consultant is like pulling teeth! Not happy at this stage that’s for sure! Everything pre construction was great. I know things are crazy at the moment with the building industry, but some progress would be great!

- Helpful rep, listened to our needs and suggested perfect floorpan for us.
- Build completed within promised timeframe of 6 months.
- Site supervisor acts in time....CONS: - Terrible pre-start experience. Our consultant [name removed] was so impatient she sighed on us the whole time while we were trying to make decisions. She didn't have the patience to help us with making selections nor made suggestions on additions for our home. It felt like we were rushed to make decisions so that her job is over and done with. We just felt so pressured and uneasy the whole time! - GO homes didn't provide us any information about what to prepare and look for prior to prestart. So when we were there, the prestart lady didn't want to help us and acted like we should know everything. SO while we scramble through products trying to discuss between each other, going on google to search for product information, she sat there at her computer sighing the whole time and making us feel stupid. - Admin [name removed] is TERRIBLE. They got our name spelt wrong the whole time, which we didn't mind at first, but they asked us to check if our information on the contract was correct, which our names weren't so we informed them, and they ignored it, continue on making variations of names for us in all emails and all contracts!!!!! HORRIBLE! When we finally met at the prestart to sign the contract, [name removed] was horribly rude to us and acted like we owed her and that her job is forced upon her. - Site supervisor a. Aircon was not blowing air at all even though it was on the highest setting, but site supervisor insisted there is air! We argued about it, ended up holding up a tissue against the aircon just to prove our point. He said he'd try, but he insisted there's strong air flow, but ended up getting it fixed and the air flow now is much stronger. Overall, it was disappointing and the process was very tiring because the customer had to do their job. I honestly hope you take our feedback seriously as these takes time to typed out. I could just let it slide and let you make the same mistakes again and again. Look us up on your system, you'll know I am not even exaggerating for abit. They all happened! Building companies are so competitive nowadays, other companies have better customer support then go homes as I heard from my friends who are also building, I'll recommending everyone against going for go homes anymore.

Hi , what is the time frame for a building contract to be drawn up?
It was more than a year ago when I signed my contract. But based on my rough memory, it was about 2-3 weeks to get the building contract.
Thanks, the builder told us 6wks, now their saying another 4 was, it’s just doesn’t seem right.
Due to incredibly high demand, it is definitely taking us a little longer to process contracts than it did a year ago. Please be assured that our number 1 priority right now is ensuring all our current sales are processed through administration in time to meet stimulus eligibility requirements for our clients.
