Lack of professionalism and poor customer service
Lacks of professionalism, transparency, organisation and customer service. Delays at every turn, lacks of accurate communication and just poor performance all round. They hide any feedback that does not paint them in a good light. Take long time to response you. No progress since the first PCI when house is nearly ready for hand over.

- Helpful rep, listened to our needs and suggested perfect floorpan for us.
- Build completed within promised timeframe of 6 months.
- Site supervisor acts in time....CONS: - Terrible pre-start experience. Our consultant [name removed] was so impatient she sighed on us the whole time while we were trying to make decisions. She didn't have the patience to help us with making selections nor made suggestions on additions for our home. It felt like we were rushed to make decisions so that her job is over and done with. We just felt so pressured and uneasy the whole time! - GO homes didn't provide us any information about what to prepare and look for prior to prestart. So when we were there, the prestart lady didn't want to help us and acted like we should know everything. SO while we scramble through products trying to discuss between each other, going on google to search for product information, she sat there at her computer sighing the whole time and making us feel stupid. - Admin [name removed] is TERRIBLE. They got our name spelt wrong the whole time, which we didn't mind at first, but they asked us to check if our information on the contract was correct, which our names weren't so we informed them, and they ignored it, continue on making variations of names for us in all emails and all contracts!!!!! HORRIBLE! When we finally met at the prestart to sign the contract, [name removed] was horribly rude to us and acted like we owed her and that her job is forced upon her. - Site supervisor a. Aircon was not blowing air at all even though it was on the highest setting, but site supervisor insisted there is air! We argued about it, ended up holding up a tissue against the aircon just to prove our point. He said he'd try, but he insisted there's strong air flow, but ended up getting it fixed and the air flow now is much stronger. Overall, it was disappointing and the process was very tiring because the customer had to do their job. I honestly hope you take our feedback seriously as these takes time to typed out. I could just let it slide and let you make the same mistakes again and again. Look us up on your system, you'll know I am not even exaggerating for abit. They all happened! Building companies are so competitive nowadays, other companies have better customer support then go homes as I heard from my friends who are also building, I'll recommending everyone against going for go homes anymore.

Correction: Soft Plaster
My review initially read that I had problems with my paint. Well, I have two words for you "soft plaster", which essentially means I wish it was the paint.
When the maintenance rep initially came out, he basically said it was my fault for putting anything on the wall. I asked for further testing and they came out to do a hardness test, according to the report, this test came back with a 4-5. According to industry professionals, that's not how you measure hardness. I insisted that he also does a pH test and look at that, the pH of my walls is ...11-12 (closer to 12). He tested again just to be sure that my walls are rubbish and it came back with the same result. The next step was for them to get the painting company out. When I told them about the test resuts they agreed that A. there's no point for the painting company to come out if the pH is 11-12 and B. that's not how you measure hardness! Now, I know a lot of builders and I've been doing my homework. The only way to fix this massive issue is to strip the plaster out of my entire house. Now if that isn't bad enough, first, BGC is going to take me on a ride to hope that this problem will somehow go away if they just screw me enough. Well, I am sorry to disappoint you. Its not going away - if you push me, I will push back twice as hard so why not stand up for this fatal mistake and be a company that can look in the mirror in the morning.
Issues and delays after issues and delays
From right after signing up (june 2017 with a house worth over $300000 with minimal finishes) we knew we had done the wrong thing. Prior to signing up, had no issues, everything was promised and nothing was too hard to do. Developing the drawings proofed difficult, items were left out, items were in the original quote but not on the drawings. I was threatened into signing variation with one guy called [name removed] yelling at me to 'sign the drawings'. We also had to fight to get what we had already paid for onto the drawings. Prestart was del...ayed until November as no one had told us we have to call to book the prestart, not BGC contact when they are ready. Correspondance regarding the prestart items went back and forth for months and took multiple emails / drawings and sketches from us, the client to get it correct. Price adjustments didn't match prestart variation etc. Site started in April 2018. Spoke to the concretor personally the day of the concrete pour with him saying 'he had no seen house drawings, he just goes off the pegs and formwork. I had to race back home and get my drawings to show him where the setdowns were, recessed sills were and where the shower was (as the plumber was not working from the construction drawings. Wanting to have polished concrete floors I was very adiment that the concrete should be done to a good quality. It was not, the recessed sill were hacked off with a trowel and setdown extents incorrect. Walls stage!. We used a midland brick, midland brick said they had to be laid a certain way, their website said they must be laid a certain way. BGC decided that that way was too difficult and BGC's way is the way too go. Turned out only 1 brickie was good enough for a job like this, we had to wait a month for him. Every corner brick had to be chipped individually to fit correctly and have a rough face. 3 months later, the walls were complete. Roof stage. BGC forgot to check the BCA from may 2017 regarding gutters and had to change all our gutters to a gutter we did not want (prior to signing we asked for a certain gutter, that's how detailed we were) The house constantly sat around with not much work getting done to it, with BGC blaming everyone else but themselves. We have now moved into the house with little issues and defects (some stuff you cannot change) but the headaches and the memories of the painful build will be around for a lifetime In short, BGC have a poor communication, the office staff have little construction knowledge and they will not apologise or admit when they are wrong. Every little detail and comment needs to be over email to have evidence. [name removed]- Poor construction knowledge and communication skills [name removed] - All talk and gave us his business card showing he card. never could get into contact with him [name removed] - Threatened me verbally over the phone [name removed] - Did nothing but sent 1 email

Don't Go Custom with Go Homes - Poor Customer Experience
We don't want to be that couple that detour people from building with GO Homes. There are many people with positive reviews and not many negative reviews. This is more constructive criticism and feedback for the company and the two of whom handled our account, the Construction Consultant and Building Supervisor. Results may vary of whom you have handling your build process.

Hi , what is the time frame for a building contract to be drawn up?
It was more than a year ago when I signed my contract. But based on my rough memory, it was about 2-3 weeks to get the building contract.
Thanks, the builder told us 6wks, now their saying another 4 was, it’s just doesn’t seem right.
Due to incredibly high demand, it is definitely taking us a little longer to process contracts than it did a year ago. Please be assured that our number 1 priority right now is ensuring all our current sales are processed through administration in time to meet stimulus eligibility requirements for our clients.
