Happy first home owner
From the moment we signed up with Neil Boyd it has been absolutely amazing. He helped us figure out what we wanted and how we could best achieve it. He was very quick to give us feedback on the cost of variations which definately helped us with the planning. We we were helped by Shaye as our contract administrator and she was absolutely all over the job, always having quick replies to our questions and always kind. She made it all very easy. Then COVID hit and our prestart meeting didnt go as per plan and had to be done over the phone due to re...strictions. I really feel like because of this we missed out on a lot of options and there definately is a few things I wouldve done differently if I was given the option. Our prestart only took a few hours and we felt very pushed to sign off on it. After this the building began and I do have to say Cassie (Construction consultant) and James (builder) did an absolute amazing job and we are very happy with the quality of our home. Any minor issues were solved very quickly. And the build finished nicely in time before Christmas. Thank you so much to all people I have mentioned in this review to make building our first home almost stress free and thank you Neil for the housewarming gift.
Has been a long journey to signed contracts in the pre- construction phase due to this grant incentive environment that we are currently in causing significant delays and frustrations! However the sales consultant Gail from GO Homes was exceptional in always being there to answer all queries I had and explained rationale behind what was happening and why which I thoroughly appreciated. Communication is key and setting expectations is crucial to an overall happy customer experience which I could not fault her. She was also instrumental in helping me finalise my house design which is fit for purpose.
Experience with Go Home so far!!
On the very first time we met Tallal, he was fully able to understand our design requirements and budget. He immediately worked out estimate costs for a design that we would love and suit our pockets. He is very helpful & has a good knowledge on products which gives him the ability to advise on any changes with minimal cost. We received excellent professional service and great advice in every respect. Now we are excited and looking forward to building our new home with Go Homes.

Overall good experience with GO Homes. Neil Boyd was fantastic in helping me navigate the initial phases of the build and with securing my land. He also was a great help in guiding me with choosing the lovely design for my new home! There were some issues during construction which the company acknowledged and in the end did a good job of managing them :)

Smooth and Pleasant Overall Experience
From the moment I met with Neil Boyd (Go Homes House & Land Specialist) at the display house in Calleya Estate, I was sold. He was so easy going, all communication exchanged was prompt and efficient, and was very helpful in providing professional suggestions. I would highly recommend going through him.
Throughout the building process, I was frequently updated on the progress of the build. Very impressed with the speed of completion and finishing quality. Love the generous gift from Neil as well (washing machine!) perks of being his client.
Great experience with go homes
Built my first home with go homes, construction was good and Dident run into any major problems, would definitely recommend go homes to any first home buyer.
Very good experience with the bgc team they were a great help all the way through the build and kept me updated all the time.
Our sales rep Mike was incredible in helping us build our ideal first home and we could not be more thankful for all his help. There were a few delays and disputes, but Mike and the team resolved them instantly. Katherine and Shaye in admin were tremendous from the get go in guiding us through the process.
The construction process was made easy thanks to Deb and our site supervisor Mark, who were both just sensational throughout the entire build. Their experience and expertise was second to none and we couldn't be happier with the result of the house. I would highly recommend GoHomes and put it in the same category as Redink Homes.

First home bliss
My partner and I just built our first home with Go Homes, which was such a positive experience! Neil Boyd got us a great house and land package deal in the estate we wanted. He even bought us a dish washer as a house warming gift, which was lovely! It felt good to have a team behind us that listened to what we needed rather then focusing on how much money they will make. From pre-start through to construction and PCI all team members were honest, supportive and worked diligently to meet our needs. The build was smooth, and within the 6 month ti...me frame. PCI only had cosmetic issues which were easily fixed. Overall we had a great experience building with Go Homes, and have recommended the company to friends and family. We got so many inclusions in our package and are loving all the top quality appliances.
Pre-start was good however there were some things which we were told were free upgrades but our sales rep told us we had to pay for. Told them we saw the flyers in their homeroom and they stopped trying to get us to pay for the free upgrade. (I would say this isn't a reflection of the company but an individual).
The build went smoothly, there were a few small issues but when I sent a request about it they were rectified in a timely manner.
The brickie was rude, during the first meeting. 1 wall was extremely out and he told me "It's a damn wal...l". The wall was pulled down and rebuilt. During PCI a lot of small things were not picked up, but were only picked up due to my hiring a building inspector. Structurally my house is sound. Cost was good and what I paid for.
Positive First Time Build Experience
GO Homes right from the outset was willing and happy to work with us on the design and budget aspects that we were wanting in our home resulting in a home that is uniquely ours. In doing this GO Homes liaised with our local council on many issues to achieve what we were wanting and to problem solve any anomalies that arose in areas such as site works and boundaries. Our pre-build process did take longer than expected however we realise this is because of the things we were requesting and changing. The admin staff are always friendly and helpful.... The online portal for pre-selections was great and really helped create colour schemes. We did feel that out pre-start experience fell a little short but only due to the consultant having to leave because of illness, it was an unforeseen circumstance. Our building supervisor had a high expectation and standard for inspecting works completed and seeked the best solutions to any issues/complications, his only concern was handing over a house that we were happy with and met all standards. We did run into a slight oversight in our retaining wall which was identified after handover, the team were quick to address this and apply the most practical fix. Our final cost was unchanged from what was signed off and overall GO Homes delivered us a home that we are proud to call ours.

Good experience for first home built :)
As a first home built our journey was pretty good and without any hassles. I was bit scared at the start regarding the built but all the issues were handled and resolved quite well. My final cost did exceed the estimated cost but not by huge amount .. overall I m quite satisfied .
A stress free 1st home
Building can be overwhelming - but GO homes took that and left us with an easy stage by stage process which left us at ease. The communication we received was constant and informative . We had one or two tiny bumps towards the end but they were handle super efficiently. We build bang on the button of what was estimated .
Sales rep offered some different houses that I was very impressed with and eventually went with a design he offered. Was very easy to make the changes (taking 2 rooms off of plan) and other smaller changes.
Construction had a few normal issues which were fixed promptly when myself or the supervisor realised. Happy with the overall finish of the house.
Pre construction administration could have been a lot better
Pre construction was not perfect and because of that there were numerous problems during the construction stage. It was my sons first house and he felt like they just wanted a signature on a contract and that any changes he wanted to make were an inconvenience and was not advised of other changes he could have made. Construction would have been a lot better if there had not been those problems caused by administration staff during pre construction. Construction Supervisor Roy and Construction consultant Nicole were very good even having to d...eal with these problems. The final house is well built with only some minor workmanship issues with quality like toilet roll holders loose and sealant being left on expensive ensuite tiles. The cleaning of the house was not good as it looks like they just cleaned the glass on the windows and did not clean the frames or clean the floors of bedrooms etc that were still concrete as we were tiling after handover. I would have thought that they would have been at least vacuumed. All benchtops were not cleaned either as had a film of powder over most of them. The main dramas from preconstruction were that 3 phase power was asked for by email and phone call and yet they still had it as single phase which we luckily picked up and then were charged a variation for it. Septics cost was taken off as we were doing it ourselves and they took it off twice so really bad checking of costing at admin level which resulted in an extra cost that was not included in his bank loan because it was not found until after he got the loan and was just dumped on him at the Prestart meeting. I felt sorry for Lauren the prestart consultant. Brick layers made mistakes and walls had to be pulled down and redone. PVC downpipes were asked for and zincalume ones were put on so that had to be changed. We were told to make sure client supplied water tanks were put on prior to roof cover and yet they were not hooked up for the stormwater until near the end of the build so have lost a lot of winter rains going into the tanks. Other than that my son is very happy with the final house and glad it is finally finished. He chose the Malta premium with ultimate inclusions because it was a different design to most and he is very happy with his choice. Just disappointed that we had to watch everything so closely and there is some changes he wishes he had made in hindsight. Cost was a bit more than budgeted but it is worth it looking at the finished product.

Hi , what is the time frame for a building contract to be drawn up?
It was more than a year ago when I signed my contract. But based on my rough memory, it was about 2-3 weeks to get the building contract.
Thanks, the builder told us 6wks, now their saying another 4 was, it’s just doesn’t seem right.
Due to incredibly high demand, it is definitely taking us a little longer to process contracts than it did a year ago. Please be assured that our number 1 priority right now is ensuring all our current sales are processed through administration in time to meet stimulus eligibility requirements for our clients.
