Inaccurate pricing online vs in store
I went to the QV Melbourne outlet today after checking the price for two deo pastes online. I was glad that the products were in stock. But the transaction experience ruined it all.
The seller asked me to pay the full price for both the deo pastes even though they were shown to be discounted on the website. I showed the website to the seller and the specific products with the prices - sure enough, discounted. At first, I thought it was a genuine error or something. But the seller went on to argue that the extra cost is to cover the "shipment" ...
Read moreprice. Seriously? Shipping cost for someone shopping IN STORE!? I had my card in my hand to pay, which I put straight back into my wallet and cancelled the transaction. I don't know if this is common practice at Go Vita, but today was my first time visiting them and I am surely never returning. This one experience is bad enough.3 comments
OK, individually owned and operated is fine. But does each store get to decide the prices independently as well? If so, how about showing valid information including prices based on individual stores ...
Read moreon the website instead of wasting the customers' time to get to the store and find out on our own? Or just show the list of products on the website and ask potential customers to contact their store for the prices since you can't be bothered to show accurate information online.Margaret L.Go Vita
Syed, thank you for your comments. I will pass these back through to our management team and see if we can work on this for future...thanks again
Difficult Staff Member - Springwood, Blue Mountains
I tried to get a refill on a herbal supplement in liquid form. I had the old bottle on which a staff member had written my name, the contents, the date dispensed and the practitioner's I.D. number. When I went to get a re-fill on a Saturday, the person at the Springwood store said that the name in their book didn't appear to be quite the same as my name (either misspelt or scribbled illegibly). They also said that a specialist, who doesn't work Saturdays (their "busy day", she said - why doesn't their specialist work on their busy day?), would ...
Read morebe needed to authorise my re-fill, even though this wasn't prescription medication. I had on no previous occasion been told that there might be hassles involved in getting a re-fill if I happen to come in on an inconvenient day. I had been led to believe that, if the herbal solution was in stock, that I could come in and purchase some anytime during business hours. Additionally, this herbal solution seems to be the only thing I have ever bought at Go Vita that has had any effect. All other supplements and herbs seem to have done nothing for me at all. So the store mostly seems to contain placebos and "snake oil". Will definitely go elsewhere in the future.2 comments

Hi Mr Martinez,...
Read moreMy name is Michael and my wife and I are the owners of Go Vita Springwood. We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your recent experience. To put this into context I believe a few things need to be mentioned. Primarily, liquid herbs are a regulated practitioner-only product, much like prescription medications at a Chemist. It is illegal for us to issue them without a written script or without direct consultation with a qualified practitioner. The first time you had these dispensed was with the assistance of one of one of our Naturopaths who has the expertise and authority to dispense liquid herbs, and it sounds like her experience and suggestions have led you to a remedy that you are happy with. This is great to hear! Further to this, we received your call during a sale day lunch rush where we had customers lined up outside the store due to COVID19 social distancing limitations. This meant that the staff member trying to assist you was under extra pressure. As retail operators I’m sure you would agree we would be more than happy to sell without barriers, but as a locally owned business we take the wellbeing and safety of our customers very seriously. We also need to uphold the rules and regulations put in place by our practitioner-only brands or we risk being able to serve yourself and other customers in the future. We are always open to improving our processes in store and will be reviewing our procedures around redispensing herbal remedies. I’m happy to discuss this further with you over the phone on 4751 6772 (I’m in on Tuesdays, Thursdays and most Saturdays) or via email info@govitaspringwood.com.au. We are also more than happy to dispense your requirement as we have had an opportunity to discuss it with our Naturopath. We can fulfill this today if you still require it. Hopefully we can resolve this amicably and have your review of our store improved!PHYLLISPerth, WA
Delivery.
Being over 80 and not able to get to the shops at the moment,I was able to get 2 deliveries by very nice assistants, on asking today could I get a delivery from the Curumbine shop I was told in no uncertain terms no deliveries
even though I said I had deliveries before., all the other assistants I have dealt with over the years have been fantastic. I have spent a lot of money in this store but in future will spend my money elsewhere.

Never shop at Go Vita no refunds
My wife purchased some vitamins for me from the Berwick Go Vita.
I did not need these vitamins, so I went to return these items for refund only 3 days after purchase.
The manager at the Berwick Go Vita refused giving me a refund, and only offered a store credit.
We do not live locally to this store and do not shop in that area, so the store credit was not a convenient option for me.
Also when I checked online prices against Go Vita's prices, the vitamins were 30-40% cheaper online.
If you want bad customer service and overpriced vitamins shop at the Berwick Go Vita.
Now I am stuck with these overpriced vitamins.

Epping Vic store bad management and sevice
Purchased black hair colour was told it will wash out to brown my natural colour and it didn’t. When I explained this to Staff member she refused to help me. Then her manager Harshe butted in and said no we won’t exchange. I asked nicely as I was given incorrect advice. She refused to change it. I just wanted brown. After spending lots of money on vitamins I won’t be back. She treated me poorly and I advised I will contact consumer of law. As the product is unopened and untouched. Bad service. Won’t be back.

Deceptive customer offer
Having now read several of the reviews of this company, some training in customer service would seem appropriate; including in relation to my experience.
I arrived at the Greenwood W.A. store yesterday (March 23, 2018) to find it closed for business and was given a printed notice about the closure by the woman packing up. Underlined and in all capitals the notice stated to 'register your members card to receive a 30% voucher and a free gift' at the Woodvale store. I went there and when they did not have the products in stock I wanted, the sho...
Expired Products, Racist Behaviour in Glen Waverley Store.
I went to Go Vita Glen Waverley store on Saturday March 3, 2018 around 3pm and was very disappointed when I learned there were expired bottles on the shelves. When I pointed that out to [Name Removed], he was visibly very defensive and non-apologetic when he remarked, "You are really good in spotting expired products, aren't you!". But that sarcastic remark was pale in comparison to what he did next. He asked me to get out of the store. In his words, "Get out of my store!", which he uttered repeatedly when I initially questioned his whole appro...
Read moreach to customers. He was probably too full of himself to apologise for the expired products sold in the store, and chose to show off his racist and patronising attitude towards an Asian customer. I reported the incident to the Centre Management, and because it's weekend I only managed to speak to the Duty Manager who promised me that he would speak to [Name Removed] about this incident. Later that day I learnt through the corporate website that Go Vita is Australia’s largest health food co-op who is "committed to making a difference in our local communities with ethical, quality products and honest health advice." Given my experience, the phrase "ethical, quality products and honest health advice" is no doubt the biggest understatement of the year for the Glen Waverley Store (of course, I am not referring to the overall Go VIta). Instead of "providing honest health and wellness advice" and treating customers in the local community with "care, respect and honesty", [Name Removed] has knowingly sold expired products in his store, (thereby targeting unassuming customers), and asked me to get out of the store (a racist, patronising behaviour that is not tolerable in this day and age). Glen Waverley is an area with a large Asian community, and [Name Removed] racist and patronising behaviours are such a disgrace to other Glen shopping centre tenants and their customers. And totally un-Australian too! Left unchecked, his behaviours will damage the reputation of Go Vita Australia.Find out how Go Vita compares to other Protein & Supplement Retailers

Wrong Product
I asked for a specific type of water bottle at the Myer Centre Brisbane store. It was wrong, so I took it back. Staff were basically dismissive and rude. They offered to sell me the correct product as well. but no refund or exchange. Way to look after your customers folks. Looked around, and found what I wanted elsewhere, better product, and cheaper! Note to self. Look online before visting GoVita.

Sick of being overcharged.
Have happily purchased from GoVita Southport for several years but they have moved premises and both times I have tried to purchase from their new shop I have been overcharged. First time I had to go all the way back to the store to question the cost and they refunded me. This time I was quoted a higher price than the shelf price on two products despite the fact that it was also meant to be a 21% discount day. I will NOT be going back. If I hadn't checked I would have been overcharged again!
