I've been trying to purchase a domain for a website for about a month now. It has been a long process of back and forths and me having to constantly chase them up over obscure information and a bunch of errors no one can explain. I've spoken to multiple customer service reps both on the chat and via phone, none of which have resolved any of the issues. The reps couldnt even answer basic questions like "what is an entity type?" or "what is my entity name supposed to be?". Twice they gave me the wrong information or said "i'm not sure. Yeah, I th...ink it might be the name of your business" or other wishy washy, tepid responses. Ive had several payments for my domain refunded for errors they dont actually explain and when they send you emails saying "the legal entity typed was incorrect", they cant actually tell you what you were supposed to have added. When i get them on the phone and ask them to look up the error or issues, they tell me that they cant access that information and they have to ask or email someone else. It has been an absolute nightmare to say the least. Oh, and their website is TOTALLY not user friendly. It is extremely confusing to use. How is it that you can check out and buy items without them actually processing the domain and ensuring it will go through? I've paid for an email i cannot use yet on a count of my domain not going through. Linking your domain to your website is also a nightmare.

You wait on hold for over and hour, then it hangs up. Not just once but multiple times. You speak to their support team and depending on who you speak to, they offer you the same product with various prices as they don't know what they are doing. They moved my emails over the Office 365 without my consent and then all the folders disappear from outlook and to get them back its taken me two weeks, numerous conversations, so many calls and chats, I cannot count and I am still without a solution. After 3 one hour calls today I asked to speak to a...supervisor instead of the support team and they have to call me back tomorrow when their "migration team" starts work, as he cant fix it. This is for three business email addresses. I am now moving all my emails out of GoDaddy as I its costing me a fortune in time to resolve this. Let alone that when I got pricing for their new "office 365 emails" some of their team said it was $18 per year another $186 and then another $660! I am going elsewhere with my emails and next the rest of my products with them due to their incompetency!
I have always loved godaddy. Today I am heartbroken. I built two websites with money I used from a fundraiser $3000 for my business as a legacy of my murdered mother and one for the foundation I am establishing to help other victims. I actually had log on and updated my credit card details. Yes I received one of your emails however I knew that you also do back ups. During this time I have had 3 friends pass away, my father pass away and had major back surgery. And now like many people have been hit hard by covid19 financially. And lost both my ...emails and just spoke to the most unsympathetic gentleman. I am trying to get my business off the ground with no funding. You have absolutely shattered me. And honestly I cannot believe there’s not a way to retrieve them. I am heartbroken
THE WORST SERVICE EVER
I cannot believe a company this big can be so pathetic. None of their contact numbers work, and every 30 mins on the helpline chat I get someone new and have to explain the whole issue again. The issue being that I was told I could have two emails linked to my Gmail, then as soon as I paid the yearly subscription apparently now I can't. This company should not be allowed to operate - they are criminals
you can't even display the currency your site is in, makes it completely useless for any online business type shop. just says $50 no option to add USD AUD PHP EURO nothing just $50 could be anything and when i asked support they told me i had to inform clients myself of the currency my prices are in... yea id like to...by adding it to the price as in $50 USD ...nope can't be done just $50.
also can only add 3 videos to your site once you have uploaded 3 videos thats it you have to pay for a vimeo account also.. steer clear of godaddy they are ...
Go anywhere else but GoDaddy. My web page i paid them to do is an absolute joke and appears NOWHERE on Google.
Promised me the world. Delivered kindergarten rubbish. I have been complaining for 2 years. Their solution - pay them more money to fix their incompetency. I wish i had never heard of GoDaddy.
Good service. Good product. Excellent price. If you want to do something complex, know your stuff.
I use Godaddy for hosting, coding everything my self. I don't use Wordpress etc etc, so can't comment on this.

The GoDaddy system is the best super cheap hosting (I've found) if you want to have complete control over your site. It has excellent response time to Australia from the Asia servers, Uptime is significantly better than anything I've encountered in Australia (I'd change to local if I could find competative). They are a stupid as the name
I had a service with Godaddy for almost two years and they managed to take my site down at least three times. For days at a time, the support is useless and they can't fix problems they created. I am now with netvirtue how are so much better I can not compare them.
God dam awful customer service
You DO NOT get 24/7 customer service, you will be on hold for over 1 hour (minimum) when someone does finally get online, you will be told their phone is playong up and then you will not be able to hear them and will need to hang up and start again
Shithouse support and integration with microsoft 365
its in the title and support does not exist, there is a phone number and email but they do not seem to appear to have anyone on the other end!!!
Completely disastrous. They have no idea what they are doing! Massive wait times on the phone, then they hang up! Charged for an annual and monthly email and refused to refund. Deleted business website and all our uploaded emails which we had paid our IT person to upload. Refuse to re upload or reimburse for having to pay our IT person to upload again, even though their mistake! Took 8 days and 4 hours a day on the phone to get our emails working.

Charge Fees Without Authorisation
This Company being a den of thieves debits my account three years after closure of a nightmare being their service. I use the word service very loosely! This account was closed three years ago due to their non existent customer service and extremely slow servers. Now they charge a fee for SSL which was cancelled at the time of closure in 2017. Eventually I was able to talk to someone from overseas to get a refund I* awiat the outcome. Keep away from this horrendous SCAM company.

trying to get in touch with tech support for failed email service with go daddy. have been on the line waiting 1 hour 47 minutes so far! they haven't even informed me with progress once. They just keep playing a recording saying "we can't wait to exceed your expectations" - what a JOKE!
So took over $350 out of my account last month for services i havent used in over 8 months. (Default option on checkout is auto-renew) so i called up. Was on hold for 2 whole hours. Finally got it cancelled and money back.
Suprise suprise a month later another $250 taken from my account. Once again trying to call up.
I work hard 9-5 and so far ive missed an hour and a half sitting in the hallway trying to get my money back.
Relevant to a scam
I highly doubted my contact information was disclosed without my consent from GoDaddy to Domainsupportus.com, which is definitely a scammer of domain service from USA too, because they email me soon after I build my website on GoDaddy. They keep charging money from my bank account and no responses when I contact them via the email they sent through before. Put them on the blacklist. I have tried to contact both GoDaddy and Domainsupportus.com without any response.
GOdaddy are abhorrent
They used to be really good. But they got in with Microsoft and Bill Gates the criminal. I have been using hostmate for a couple of years now. I had a friend say they signed up with Godaddy and I was like noooooo!!! I was helping set up their site after they already bought it. Nightmare. Told them to cancel Godaddy as soon as it expired. Hostmate, is faster, cheaper, more flexible, and has email servers inhouse connected to your hosting service. Godaddy forces you to pay extra to have a office microsoft server. So bad. Hostmate are fast to resp...ond by email and always solve issues. Also SSLs are included! GOdaddy charges you an extra $100 and has a stupid process to authorise it where they need a lawyer and believe it or not, I could sign mine off with my law firm but they could not understand that i was the lawyer with inhouse authority. Also Godaddy lies about their rate of $2.95 because it only lasts for a short time then they bump you up to $10 per month. Hostmate.com.au is soooo much better.

Repeatedly charge for products and services that are not delivered and refuse to give refunds. Absolute crooks! Paid for website and it wasn't visible for 2 months, my bad luck. Paid for domain purchase got nothing, my bad luck. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE

I'm designing and building websites for a living and two out of my many clients are on GoDaddy web hosting - one on an entry level subscription and the other one on a more upscale option. It is completely impossible to do any work on either of those sites - the server continuously drops out, the uptime is a joke, getting through to their support takes about 60min on average and when getting through all they do is recommend to pay for one of their Wordpress developers or to upgrade the plan. For one of my clients we did upgrade the plan for an a...dditional AU$600 which did absolutely nothing to fix any of the issues. We've had ongoing problems with a cURL 28 error and any fix I had up my sleeve didn't work, then ended up paying for a Wordpress developer via GoDaddy who emailed back after 72 hours saying it's not related to Wordpress or the website itself but to the server (as I had told them many times). GoDaddy then promised to escalate - hadn't heard back after 8 days so called them again today, spent two hours on the phone to be told it's not a server issue but a Wordpress issue. This company is an absolute joke - a quick google search also showed that many other GoDaddy customers have the cURL 28 error and are being told to pay for a developer - what a scam. Stay away - my clients will be fighting for refunds and moving to different web hosts.
On hold for 38 minutes. Still no answer. I have a feeling there is actually no-one there to take my call. Hello! Are you there? I really need some help.
Just a dumb site and Company
I am sitting here on the auction site and to start the bids are in USD but they are displaying in AUD. I change the currency settings in my account and this does not fix it so I ring support and they tell me this is a common complaint and I need to change setting on homepage. The auction was set to finish over an hour ago but they extend an extra 5 minutes every time someone bids so we could be here for the rest of the year. Everyone knows when an auction ends so end it at that time this is just a joke. Going going going not gone lets give it another 5 minutes????????????
#OpenWeStand False & Misleading Advertising. I asked for some help - Go Daddy refused and deleted my website.
Just like any small business can relate, paying accounts is virtually impossible if your clients havent paid there's. When I looked up what my options with GD I must say I was very surprised and almost relieved when I read Godaddy's pledge to small businesses which is "#OpenWeStand" However when I called it couldn't be further than the truth. My website is deleted and my account was blocked it was like pulling teeth to be given the kind of grace they speak of in there article https://au.godaddy.com/open-we-stand/what-godaddy-is-doing Basically ...I have been given 2 weeks to come up with $3,000 and they still wont tell me why my businesses website was deleted even though the expiry date they have on the account is the first i've seen. After being a customer for over 2 years and have even got a secondary account with another provider for this very reason, to say I was disgraced is an understatement. It's simply not consolable to be pledging #OpenWeStand, Ive been given more compassion from a new vendor than that of Go Daddy who by the way made a staggering $2.98 BILLION last year. It's it any wonder they are profiteering of the back of struggling hard working small business owners who they refuse to keep their word to. Im sure the ACCC will be very happy to take on my complaint tomorrow. How are we supposed to re open Melbourne when we are being robbed by offshore greed driven corporations like Go Daddy. Long story short - If your business is in Australia then shop local. Where did the human element go in business? So wrong on so many levels. And one more thing Go Daddy. Waited 36 mins on the phone which then just hung up
When Godaddy switched over to cpanel, I paid extra money for the migration. I was told it would take two hours. Next day, the website was still not working. I rang them back again, waited on the line for 36 mins, and then it just hung up. What terrible service!
Worst service ever!
I have sat on a chatline for over 3 hours today to try to get my facebook business page attached to my Godaddy website. The worst experience ever!! Very very poor customer service. All they seem to do is to send links for you to click on which is just a bunch of computer jargon.

Cheap to join, rip you off to the bone in long run. Been with them for last 9 month, charge me $170 for full year. Currently I've been charged well over $1,000 for ridiculous reasons.
Migrating to other service provider now.

I wish I could give them 0 star. the first time I typed the website it's cheap then I went to pay my cart they said it was no longer there. 10 times, the company tried to keep the keywords we search to make more money. horrible
