Excellant service, help and advice.
We had Michael from Go Run Solar come to our house for advice on having solar power installed. As I am retired and new to the solar power he explained everything in simple terms and gave us a few options on what we could do. Settled on a 6.34kw system with 24 GCL panels and a Fronius inverter which should mean no more power bills. Installation happened within 1 week of signing a contract. Would have given 5 star review but the panels could not be installed on brackets the way Michael quoted on due to layout on my roof which now means I will have to pay to have my panels cleaned (approx. $200 as per Scott, the installer ) when they become dirty. We have no hesitation in recommending Michael and his team.

Good, almost excellent apart from post paperwork issues
After MUCH research (quotes from 13 providers, 4 of whom did visit the house) we purchased a 5kW system from Go Run Solar (Fronius inverter and 6.34kW of ET panels). It wasn't the cheapest quote, yet we went this direction after reading DOZENS of reviews that steered us away from cheaper alternatives, and helped us assess that more expensive (and more/'better' service) wasn't necessarily better value for money. But we definitely feel we got good value for money with this system. I did have subsequent questions and all were answered in a time...ly manner (ie questions about warranty on panels etc) We were told by others that the application with Ergon (we live in Toowoomba) could take weeks and it was approved in 2 days, which brought forward the installation. The Installer and offsider were great and happy to be flexible to make it work well. We planned for 12 panels to face West and 12 to face East, but the split roof on the East meant we ended up doing 11 and 13. But that was all good. After installation, we do see power output numbers as high as 5.3kW on sunny days with intermittent cloud. I am not sure why, but on a totally cloudless day, the output only gets to 4.5kW figures, but when clouded it drops when in shade, then returns to the 5 kW in the sunshine between clouds. Okay, the issues. Our house has a small house safety fuse - 25 A. Most now are 40A. The Solar system has its own 25A fuse. The installer said we should get this looked into because of its small size. We started doing, but it dragged as our preferred electrician now lives in Brisbane. However, we discovered that Go Run Solar would not complete the installation paperwork for what ended up being several months 'until we got the house fuse deficiency fixed'. In their defense, they say they are concerned about house safety. However, after my electrician's research, and my personal communication with Ergon, the house is not unsafe, nor non-compliant in its current state. We have gas stove, gas heaters, gas hot water, so the house draws little power such that a small safety fuse is more than adequate. It took several emails to Go Run Solar for them to submit the paperwork to complete the installation. Hence slight disappointment with what is otherwise a GREAT product and great and quick installation service that we are very happy with! Yes would recommend any serious enquirer to check this company out!
