GraysOnline are a company, companies are about making money.
Remember GraysOnline make more money if the car sells. With GraysOnline you have to make sure you see the vehicle before you decide to bid, GraysOnline will say on the ad the paint, panels and trim is good but it may not be the case. Make sure you turn the car on and see for smoke as that is also commonly seen. it is well known that you may not see the car and go off face value... then you are the loser.
With covid going on and Victoria under lockdown it is almost impossible to detect if the car has marks or dents as FaceTime doesn’t pick it up all the time.
I have dealt with Grays since 2015 beginning in Victoria. This was my first purchase in Queensland and I have always been delighted with the process. The only small thing, I waited for 10 minutes to see if I had won the bid and it seemed like 10 hours. 5 minutes would be a good compromise I feel.
Otherwise I think Grays are excellent to deal with and with total integrity
Non-existent customer service from the ground up! Especially from their National Heads of Department’s!
It seems Graysonline doesn’t change with their non-existent and rubbish customer service!
It has been encountered numerous times over the years, whether it is buying their poorly non-climate controlled wine, their inconsistent and falsified advertising, or their sheer desire to avoid all and any responsibility to ensure their customers are looked after in the minimal possible way!

Don’t do it
Bought a car online that looked in tip top shape, with very low Klm’s. Got it home....Gearbox was destroyed, Alternator shot, abs and computer needed to be replaced. I spent a lot more on repairs than I paid for the car. I couldn’t even imagine what previous owners did to the car. Don’t think Auctions are a cheap option. Cars been at mechanic’s for 5 weeks now and around $5000 in repairs outstanding.....LEMON

I paid for an auction via PayPal and GraysOnline failed to recognise or process the said payment. After a long process I finally got a refund however my account remains suspended indefinitely and the “customer service” representative Has finally stated:
Please be advised that your matter and request to reinstate your account has been escalated to our supervisor and the same outcome has been provided.
I know this isn't the outcome that you were hoping but we can only rely on the information that is provided directly from the source.
I apolog...ise that I am not able to offer any further assistance to you in this instance. No information has been provided on who this supervisor is and why my account cannot simply be reinstated. The service at Grays Online is utterly disgusting and disconnected from its customers.
Do not buy a car from Graysonline
My son purchased a vehicle a month ago still trying to get a refund. When we went to pick up the vehicle had hail damage on the roof when I should the worker told him this wasn't mentioned on the sale description he had a look and agreed told us leave the car thier so we did i said cant we just resolve here to get the refund he said no you have to call this number . Since that day we have been calling thus number firstly the said it will take 2-5 days to get the refund its been a month same ridiculous answers it has been ESCALATING, cannot get any manager or supervisor to talk too please stay away from them horrible service . Can anyone help what can we do ...
Lemon of a car
Bought toyota camry with full service history at Grays Adelaide site 2 days ago. Looked over car before purchasing, no visible signs of mechanical problems with engine. On the way home car overheated had taken to mechanic who diagnosed Coolant Leaking From The Back Of The Engine Behind The Intake Manifold. Suspect The Head Bolts Have Stripped Out Of The Block Allowing Coolant To Leak. 3000 to fix and i paid that for it, so now have to sell to the junk heap. I was really annoyed and contacted grays who said nothing they can do. I feel ripped off...and that i may as well of burnt my hard earned cash. As a low income earner this has really hurt me financially. Please don't buy cars from these people and save your money. Chances are if you buy a car from this company it will have serious issues.
Shipped to wrong address. Terrible service. Avoid.
Bought 2 things off grays online. I changed my address before paying but they sent to my old address. I called customer service in hoping of getting sent to right address or getting some compensation. Their call centre is in Phillipines and absolutely no help. Never buying again.
My worst online experience ever
Bought an item under ‘Buy Now’ and realised immediately had selected wrong colour. What followed was a series of frustrating conversations, tickets, chasing, that resulted in zero help. The wrong items were delivered and then I could not get a refund as the matter was under investigation. Three weeks later still waiting and this has necessitated in a consumer affairs case as well as a PayPal Refund case being raised. The customer service of this company is one of the worst you will ever experience and I highly suggest you think twice before usi...ng GraysOnline unless you are absolutely certain that you will not make any errors and will not need any refunds. There is no local contact number at all despite having the local numbers listed, they all divert to an offshore service line who is care factor is below zero. You do not want to go through what I have been going through just to get a refund for goods I did not want And that I tried to cancel immediately.
Great website to sell
I approached a few auctioneers in W.A., as I didn't know anything about selling on line bidding.
Greys got back to me in a timely manner, and kept me up to date through out the process.
I had a really good result with Greys, I think the fees are very reasonable for what they do.
Still haven't heard from the other auctioneers.

Graysonline are more than a website. All staff I have dealt with, face to face, at both yards in Hamilton, Brisbane, could not be more friendly, courteous and helpful. Great to see there are real people behind the website and they are a true asset to Graysonline.
Gracy dining table I bought not by auction but on sale on grays site with 15 available
If I could give grays no stars I would!!! I purchased a Gracy dining table not in an auction as a sale with 15 available so I did immediately I received order and confirmation and tax invoice with delivery of 3-5 business days for delivery. I have emailed and contacted Grays on so many occasions it became rediculous I asked to speak to someone within Australia which was totally refused and their answer was they could not find phone number??? I during all of this purchased 6 dining chairs to match a beautiful dining table called the Gracey dinin...g table at a cost of nearly 2000.00 because on the word of staff my Gracy dining table ‘was in transit’ so I purchased the chairs from a melb furniture store that took 2 days to arrive I birtually have away for 100.00 a dining table that was worth well over 1700.00 to make way for what I was told by a Malaysian call centre that my dining table was on the way, so I had got rid of existing dining table and purchased and had delivered nearly 2000.00 worth of chairs and all I received from grays after another upsetting phone call with absolutely no help what so ever was an email stating dining table was not available and they were refunding my money I rang immediately so upset they were extremely unhelpful as at the bottom of the invoice or confirmation order is who the merchant is so I traced the company selling this table and they have 3 outlets and the Gracy table is still for sale as of this minute I had rang [name removed] the call taker back in Malaysia and she said she could not do it but she offered compensation which I now realise was to get me off the phone and all that turned up in a refund was 489.00 what a disgraceful action, Grays could not even ring the company that grays had bought these dining tables from and they refused and yet they offered to compensate me now I have no dining table as it has gone up with merchant severely and I have spent nearly 2000.00 in dining chairs purchased for the Gracy dining table on the word after so many emails and phone calls that table was in transit by Grays. This is absolutely disgusting and a scam and the amount of lies told to me on so, so many numerous occasions and not one caller in Malaysia could transfer or find a telephone number to Australia and the refund is the amount I paid, the person [name removed] I spoke to said I could at least make a compensation claim for chairs but all I received was my own refund. Do not purchase on this site all you are dealing with is a Malaysian call centre and they blatantly lie right up to the end. GRAYS you most definitely need to fix this customer affairs and the ombudsman would find this deplorable and deceptive behaviour.

Is it reliable to buy a car with a recent RWC registration? with (warranty available), I believe that if it has the RWC it is because the vehicle works and has no damage
