Green Fairy Diva Absinthe
So what's going for Green Fairy?
In my experience you can tell a second-rate bottle of absinthe by its label, if not the bottle itself. If it screams I'M ABSINTHE! Then you can be sure it's trying to convince you of it. Observe Green Fairy - it's very title is trying.
But of course, this is a bias approach and you can't judge a book by it's cover - no matter how decorative it is; you have to try it at least once before you can past judgment. On the upside, once endured you then earn the right to a legitimate opinion, and thus a legitimate review... or so that's how I ration...

In keeping with form in lieu of the weekend, I decided to fore-go the usual beer indulgence and try something new.
'Green Fairy' Absinth(e) ...
Read more Cons: For all of you that have spied this product in a bottle shop and have wished too experience a genuine Absinth(e) sensation, then this product is not for you, the mere fact that it is coloured artificially should make anyone that would think that they are purchasing the genuine article, shy away from it. Solely for that reason, if I was too rate this as I would a wine, it would be the Passion Pop of fine wines, for the price I paid for this luxury I was hopeful of a unique and refined experience, right down to the Louche' which would never happen. Instead I found myself mixing it with a lime soft drink... How dignified. I mean, if you paid for an Ipod, then you would expect it too be an Ipod, right? And for those discerning alcoholics out there. Considering the price of liquor/liqueurs per alcohol volume in Australia this is yet another fabricated product of which you should just continue drinking your 20 cans of Toohey's Gold. In summary: Yet another product of low quality diluting the shelves of Australian stores, claiming to be something that it isn't, targeting those that would prefer an easy buzz instead of paying for quality and authenticity and enjoying it accordingly, shame really. Pros: 60% Alcohol, yeah that's it. (I would like too note however that the importers/distributors of this product do confess outright too the addition of the artificial additives on the label at the back of the bottle, and not in the 'ingredients' as is seen on a lot of other products, though with that in mind it states that it is made at a distillery that dates back from 1518, remember that it's 'made' at that distillery and that also if you visit their website (www.greenfairy.com.au) you will be greeted by some dubious history). Thumbs down. AUSfox.
