One star is way too generous!
Green View Scapes were subcontracted by our shed builder to do the earth works, we also had them install a gravel road to the shed.
Things started well and both members of the team seemed to work effectively and efficiently. But things started to take a turn for the worse when our project manager (our shed builder) didn't have the time to come out to site to keep an eye on things so it was left to me. This shouldn't have been too much of a drama as I'd built a house in the last few years and was accustomed to run...ning a tape over things from time to time. And because I hadn't seen any checks being done I took it on myself to see how things were tracking. However, Nathan seemed to take offence to this. He continually reassured me that they were all over it and there was nothing to worry about. But from my measurements they were continually out and when I raised this with Nathan he absolutely lost it. The more I pushed for him to double check his measurements the more aggravated he became. So that set the scene for the rest of the works. The shed cut ended up being too close to both our neighbours fences and it wasn't deep enough. This resulted in the slab being laid too high and an additional 6x 10 yard tippers of road base were needed to bring the access up to a level that could be usable. The ramp cut out the back wasn't cut in even and a large lump at the base had to be removed by additional excavations (by others). The lump was raised on site, at the time, and I was given assurances it would be dealt with but it never was. The batter on the cut wasn't at the correct angle and Nathan had to return to correct it...he still didn't get it right and made a huge mess and left. Subsequent excavations (by others) were carried out to tidy the site, correct the level of the water tank pad, batter the cut and spread and level the additional road base for shed access. The gravel road was laid in a rush. No prep, just 40mm road base chucked on top of grass and spread then rolled. I asked if he could wet roll it to pack it down nice and tight and he said yeah sure, but I found no evidence of this being done. There was also a pot hole near the gate that was missed and I asked him to return to chuck a barrow of road base in it. He returned and didn't fix the pot hole but racked the entire length of the road ripping up the pack from the rolling. At this point I'd had enough and we both went our separate ways. I'd definitely not recommend this company. I've never worked with anyone with such a total lack of regard for workmanship. He was also quite disrespectful and a bully towards his employees.
Very poor work done
I hired Green View Scapes to do a paving job and concrete job. They did the paving job first and then the concrete job. When laying the concrete they splashed concrete on the paves and the bricks of the house. The steps they made were crooked and uneven. The concrete pathway was about 9 meters long and about 1.2 meters wide and they didn't put any expansion lines in it, over time the concrete would crack. They said they would come back and clean the paves and brick work with a high pressure water gun but they never did. They said they would come...back with a concrete saw and cut some lines in the concrete but they never did. His work is very poor and he does not care. Some of the paves he laid have dropped away this means the foundation has not being laid correctly.I will never use Green View Scapes again
