On site demo.
They are a great machine and are also very well balanced. I decided against buying one after having an on site demo. Main reasons was the difficulty in handling on a large rough section, steep in some areas and tough weeds compared to a back pack or hand held brush cutter / scrub bar model and I felt at full throttle the revolutions per minute were not fast enough.
These machines are excellent value but were not suited to my area.
The right tool for the job
I'm an orchard owner and I need good quality machinery to keep up with me. I've compared the Grillo HWT 600 with the DR Mower Trimmer (Commercial Self Propelled) and can say that the Grillo is by far a better manufactured machine. The DR is constructed out of more plastic bits (they obvioulsy make money on all the parts) than I've seen before, the bottom of the machine is also made of flimsy plastic compared to the Grillo all steel bottom. Wheel shafts on the Grillo is also sitting in a protected steel sleeve enclosures. The wheels are also ...a lot bigger than the DR mower and extremely well balanced, All in all you can feel the quality with the Italian made machine, they've taken a lot of care to select good material to make the HWT600. Don't get put off by the smaller Honda engine, it's runs a lot smoother and starts a lot faster than the Briggs engine on the DR - guess that's why DR installed an electric start.
This is a great machine (550). Works where going is difficult with a normal mower. Almost eliminates using a hand held whipper snipper. Less chance of damage to shrubs garden etc than with a hand held .Great features such as easy starting. Quick and simple cord replacement. Excellent manouvreability. Ease of servicing. Found dealer to be most obliging.
Ease of operation.

Hi, I'm based in the Bay of Islands in New Zealand, but I've checked on this side and you should be able to source it from Valley Pumps & Irrigation Systems, 85 Moe South Rd, Moe, Victoria 3825, Phone:03 5126 1107 or email: email@example.com ? Failing that, I can help ship one to you from New Zealand. They are quite popular on this side now and the pricing also came down quite a lot.
