bad first impressions last
Not sure why this product has gets great reviews. It looks sturdy enough once complete, but you will get flatpack boxes of bits and pieces to assemble and good luck with that.. So far: 1. Cot: brackets shown in manual was incorrect against what was in the box.. I inserted it one way, then had to rework it (by unscrewing things and destroying the 'head thread' shape). God help me when we make this thing a single bed. (Side note; Bet this company relies on never being able to extend the product life so you never need to road test how dodgy the si...ngle bed is) .. ALSO, the darn drop side does not work! ALSO ALSO , the finish is fine bone china.. It scratches way too easily (on walnut) - it is actaully a joke.. (NOTE: price considerations factored in, its still laughable)... 2. Cot drawer box opened - no MANUAL inside.. Went to website and cannot find this species of manual online.. SO, in short no QA at the factory and NO QA on website.. Seems like a marketing driven company to me.. trust this for my baby?. Additionally, i have so far put 3 calls into the helpdesk number on the box - not manned and no response to this point (note: granted its been an hour or so).. unimpressed nothing so far per review. bad manual, bad website, bad customer service
Poor finish complete with dents and scratches & poor customer service as extra.
Design of cot is excellent, but finish is hit and miss. I have exchanged 3 sets of cot ends, First was heavy dented one end. Exchage for 2nd pair which where old stock the paint was cream not white. Third pair was scratched on topside and dented on face side. The cot end are made to go one way so you can't turn it around to put the dent on the inside. I have been told grotime is made in china, not suprising these days. I belive the packaging they come in is not sufficient for handling. Marks and tears on boxes mean scratches and dents on funiture. I looking for a refund and don't realy know what to buy.
Design is excellent.
Bed ends 3 sets, finish is poor with dents, scratches paint that does match.
