Fantastic Aussie lure - but have heaps of imitators!

I have countless Scorpions in my tackle box, from the super small to the 45mm to the larger more jumbo sizes for trolling the sea way and local banks for large Flat head.

I find that the Scorpions now have a solid design and faultless and timeless shimmy that just continue to catch fish. The body and bib design are positively locked together with a locking mechanism, which even after the largest and most brutal fish cant shake this lure free - unlike glued in bib's which have a tenancy to let go after a few good fish or extended trolling.

I would highly suggest that people replace the Halco split rings which are the 'triple lock' design, to an Owner split ring in the smallest and greatest weight capacity able to use and get some high quality Owner hooks. The OEM hooks are ok, so reuse these if you like, but they do rust pretty quick.

The Scorpion's colour scheme, does get a hard time with fish teeth scraping and managing to peel away the chromed outer paint, some lures I have seen are absolutely battle scarred and do show their age, but still work even when their colour's are worn off.

All in all another great Aussie lure that's affordable, works a treat, lasts for years and catches those big ones :)
Cheap, reliable, swims true from the box & suffers rarely from truancy issues.
Some of the colour schemes do peel off with fish caught, however doesn't affect the overall lures effectiveness.
