Bad customer service
Went to Harris Scarf Coburg yesterday, served by a middle age black hair lady, unbelievable she is very rude and unfriendly, I felt her does not like to work there, made me feel so bad and unhappy, won’t back again.

Sad they are closing
The layout of the store Airport West store was fine , clear big signage as too where some items are would make a big difference. It was neat and tidy too.
There where prices up for some items but not all which was a bit annoying.
We bought stone pots and pans and we were very happy with these easy to clean products literally no more scrubbing. We bought plates Maxwell Williams and some loose items too and pillows were at a good price too. Will be back before they close.
Staff at register needed a boost me up they gave customer service without a smile . Only one floor staff visible and no assistance was given either. But considering they might be affected with the job losses I can surpass that.
Will be back to buy more
Bought 4 pairs of jeans online for my husband. They were in stock. Later had confirmation email. Next day email saying order being processed. Two days after order they say order will not be filled, items not in stock and I would get a refund in 5-10 business days. Fair enough I thought, can’t be helped. Only that it is now 2 weeks later and still no refund and on their website they say jeans are in stock. Two emails to them have yet to be answered by them. Very poor service. Never again.
i was very disappointed to receive an email saying my order was canceled due to it no longer being available. when i went back online the item was still listed but at a higher price. if i was told that it had changed prices i would still have gone ahead with the order but i wasn't given this option. i have now ordered the same product from another supplier. i will never shop with harris scafe again .
A Puzzling Example of Poor Customer Service
Although I don't usually lay-by this morning I decided to take advantage of this facility as I have done in the past to buy some shoes at Harris Scarf and after an hour of trying on various styles took two pairs to the checkout only to be advised that the store does not lay-by on reduced items!! According to the dictionary the definition of sale is "a period during which a shop or dealer sells goods at reduced prices" and the definition of reduced is "make smaller or less in amount" so am I just stupid or is there a difference? If something is ...reduced obviously at least to me it is on sale. In any event I didn't get the shoes and am not only disappointed but decidedly angry because there was no signage anywhere in the store indicating the difference between "reduced" and "sale" which is misleading to say the very least.
Placed an online order for some items showing as in stock. Everyday for 4 days following i received an email saying my order was being processed. On the 4th day i received an email saying 2 of my items had been refunded as they could not be fulfilled. However their website still had one of the items listed as available. Am currently waiting on an explanation from customer service. However i can't say I'm impressed especially as there is only 6 days till Christmas. For a regional buyer that makes it almost impossible to replace those gifts now without traveling 150kms to our nearest shopping centre. At this point I would not recommend Harris Scarfe online.
You won't get what you ordered
Last Christmas during a sale I ordered 2 Queen sized mattress protectors & a Queen sized Doona.
The email told me that because the items were coming from different warehouses there would be NO Tracking number supplied.
Only 1 Doona was sent.
After a couple of months of waiting I sent them an email asking where my mattress protectors were, they then sent me 1 Mattress Protector.
To Date I still haven't received the 2nd Mattress Protector even though I paid for it.
Just don't go through it.
They Steal peoples money without delivering the goods.
Three people serving at the registers who completely ignored me today in the airport west store, later heard on of them say she was the assistant manager. In today’s poor economy I would have thought they would give better customer service.
I've been to harris scarf adelaide a few times and every time I question myself "why did I go back there?".
When I have gone to buy a few things I've been treated like I couldn't afford them and when found I worked in hospitality then was lectured by one of your staff about how I should be doing something better and meaningful with my life.
Upright vac cleaner
Got my new upright vac cleaner in mail yesterday brand name MXT. Dont buy it. It doesnt suck up dirt, dust properly. I have wasted my money. I have bought a few things from this company and have been happy. Very disappointed
Great sales plus wide range of stock
No matter which of their stores I visit there is always a bargain to be had at Harris Scarfe. Great range in homewares and manchester. Cheap and cheerful ladies clothes and underwear. Staff have been wonderfully helpful and rung other stores to track down items for me.

Do not bother going into these stores. Very unhelpful staff that don't give a toss about you as a customer.
They refuse to give exchanges/refunds even though you have a fully valid receipt and it's within the 20 days.
Very disappointed customer. Now an ex customer.
Will not be going there again.
High inflated prices, always on sale, unhelpful staff, rude, accuse you of falsely doing something.
Arrogant, unwilling to listen to your concerns etc.
Prices better at other stores like big w, k mart, harvey norman, in hi fi, etc.

Bad service at the fountain gate location
Worst service ever, need to change the management, I waited to check on the items at the front desk for more than 15 minutes and no one showed up after they been called for 15 minutes because the item was the last one and missing some things.

No price match!!!!
Harris scarfe has a pair of Julius Marlow shoes for $99 saw the same shoes on catch for $67 went to find out about price match and the answer was "we don't price match with online stores " it does not say that on they price match website, catch is an Australian online retail store but it was like banging your head against a brick wall!!! I showed them they price match guarantee but nothing, very disappointed in you Harris scarfe, won't be shopping with you anymore!!!
HS always on ‘sale’
I’m wary of stores who always have sales like HS. But are they really sales? With HS I highly doubt it because they heavily inflate the prices then put a 50% off sign above it. Even with the discount, the price is much higher than it’s worth. Sometimes you can prove this by looking at the same brand in Big W. HS stock their own brands too like Westcape, so it’s harder to check, but this brand is still overpriced even when it’s on sale. I only buy from HS now if I am desperate.
Advertising and not having stock
After visiting 3 HS stores looking for an item advertised in their flyer only to be told that stock has not arrived. Asked in one store if one could put away for me when they arrived only to be told "NO CAN DO"
Nice trick advertising and not having stock just to get customers into your store HS. I won't be shopping there in the future.

It's a rip off
My husband bought me a Tramontina coffee plunger and he was pleased to be told it was marked down from $69.95 to a price of $39.95. I have had previous issues before at Harris Scarfe having items supposedly marked down so I checked the price on line and discovered that they were priced at $35 at Big W and was not on sale. It is dishonest and misleading to make you believe it is a bargain, it is just deceitful! I won't be buying from HS again unless I check out the correct retail price first.

Not happy Harrisscafe!!
Not only did you send me someone else’s order, but when I contacted you about the mix up I was told they would resend my order. Then a few days later PayPal informs me I have been refunded my purchase. However I was not refunded the postage amount. So I got charged postage on an order I never received & now I have to go out a buy the items I wanted again. Shame on you Harrisscafe, you have lost me as a customer.
Misleading photos on website - very poor quality goods. Very disappointed when I received my QS quilt cover. Looked nothing like the online website photo. Colour different to photo - colour much darker than in the website photo and quilt has a very high 'sheen' to it - which was not apparent in the photo. Quality is very poor and looks like something you would purchase from a $2 shop. Overall I am very disappointed and angry with the overall quality and look of the product. Will not be putting this product on my bed. Will keep as a spare.... But expected better from Harris Scarfe - particularly when the product was originally $129 - but reduced for sale. This quilt cover is a very poor quality polyester viscose - fabric is very thin. I was expecting a much better product. Extremely disappointed!!! - and will not be purchasing from Harris Scarfe in future. The website photos should more accurately reflect the product being purchased. You cannot 'zoom in' on the website photos to have a more detailed look at the product. Will not be caught out again.
Most of the items are unavailable but they only tell you this after few days of placing the order
I bought 4 jeans and 4 shirts through online. After few days I get an email saying 3 of the jeans and 2 shirts are out of stock! My wife ordered few tops and they did the same. Now I see similar reviews here and never gonna order again.

I purchased a set of black cutlery at Christmas 2020 - all the colour has nearly fallen away. I have the original receipt am i able to get a refund or another set?
My clothes arrived with security tags still in them. Anyone know how to remove them. I can't go to a store. Thanks. Lyn
I have a card from Harris Scalf I no why I cant get the orders to go through I was on big pond.net au something like that because I winded in with it but I’m with Gmail now my mailing address is [removed]gmail.com sorry for all the trouble I now have or had stuff in cart and cant get through till it’s fixed cheers nola spiers
