Shocking Customer service
Maybe Gerry doesn't need the money anymore clearly going by his constant boasting .... was in the Chadstone store this afternoon to purchase a Revitive massager - two salespeople walked directly in front of me while I was perusing the item without as much as excusing themselves, and I was there for a good ten minutes trying to figure out which of the options to go for and all the while, not one of these so-called sales people bothered to even ask me if they could help. Will NOT be shopping here again - the Good Guys will be getting my business from now on.
No back up Service
I bought a refrigerator from the Fyshwick store that leaked water and destroyed my floor boards in the kitchen. They will not respond to my emails and over the phone say to contact the manufacturer. Buy your electrical goods from someone who stands by their products.
I recently needed to replace my fridge and freezer so I went to Harvey Norman looking for some advice.
I was assisted by the most helpful assistant I could have asked for. In spite of it being extremely busy due to the Boxing day sales, Michelle Famularo was friendly, polite and couldn't do enough to help me find the right appliance for my needs.
Having had a bad experience at this store before, I was reluctant to go back but after the service I received, am now pleased I did.
Horrible customer service - Hoppers crossing TV department
We shopped the Black Friday sales and bought a TV the sales rep (Ash) advised us if we place the order on the same day we will receive the tv by mid to late December and that wasn’t true they never called us to let us know that the delivery was delayed. When we called to find out when the Tv will be delivered their excuse is it been delayed further so if we don’t want to wait we can request a full refund which is ridiculous because I paid so that I’ll have a TV not that they can waste my time for 2 months and I can have my money back.
The new ...estimated date of delivery date is early feb. Absolutely ridiculous customer service I would not recommend going here at all try and avoid as all they care about is there sales figures and not care for customer satisfaction.
LG Top Load Washer from Harvey Norman Flagship Store Auburn
My wife bought an LG top load washer from Harvey Norman’s flagship store from Auburn with extended warranty. It’s barely even been a few months since we bought it and the thing just doesn’t stop jumping up and down like a jack in the box. With manufacturer’s warranty still in place we’ve been given the runaround as is the case with all the usual stories you hear from others.
Twice an LG service technician was sent out and all they found from each visit was the lid of the washer not locking once started, apart from that they cannot find the roo...t cause of why it is shuttering and vibrating so much. It shakes up so much at times jumping up and down and one day it literally is going to break down the laundry door. On one occasion the door handle to the laundry even loosened and fell off because of the washer trying to bash down the door. It’s a 10kg washer which is a pretty big unit that can do some serious damage the way it is shaking up, if there was a video upload on this option I would show it here but this option is not available on review here. I know exactly what the issue is with the washer shaking up so badly as it’s happened on a couple other older washers we owned in the past... it’s the struts and they are pretty easy to replace. I know LG definitely knows that the main issue is the struts but any manufacturer will generally not want to replace the original installed washer struts because once you change them they are more prone to shaking up because out of the factory it is more difficult for service techs to level them off to have a harmonious spinning drum. Either way, me and my wife don’t care and we just want the washer replaced with a brand new (same or different brand/model) as the existing one is just about beat up. I couldn’t care less how much LG’s service techs can fix it or not, it’s been shaking up badly so often that we can’t even leave the washer running when leaving home, and who knows how much more damage has been done to the internals of the washer that’ll become apparent very soon as was already evident with the technician finding that the lid is not locking once started which I am absolutely sure was caused from the washer jumping around all over the place. Overall - HV has great stores nationwide with mediocre pricing and staff flexibility offering room for negotiations, but it has absolute s#ithouse for warranty expectations. Instead of trying to play to the manufacturer’s terms, if I was Harvey Norman I would demand that LG immediately replaces the washer with a new one, not trying to get their service techs out to try and repair a beat up appliance, it’s a total waste of everybody’s time. I’ve shown the videos to Harvey Norman and the service techs and they look baffled as to how a washer can jump around so much... total crike of s#it, they’ve definitely seen similar happen before but just want to pull on the OMG confucianism. I don’t care what they do but they better replace my washer soon as I am starting to get sick of being ignored and flicked off every time I try and get some answers on whether or not if they are going to replace the washer. It is definitely the last time I will ever do business with Harvey Norman ever again until they pull themselves together. P.S: Delivery and install was done by HV.
Never nonsense during a sale
went into the Burleigh waters store after doing a lot of research into a Bissell pro heat pet
The sales assistant did not have the model I wanted albeit the one on display was identical to the pro heat 2 pet
At every juncture she contradicted me
No they only came in red or purple - not what bissell said
The pet tool was for collecting poop not dry materials in the canister - not what bissell say nor what the instructions say
No you don't need the oxy booster - not what bissell say or in fact include in the package
I could go on
Best price $598 despite me having an online price of $488
The only sound advice given was try The Good Guys ... which I did

After three months still waiting for a replacement piece for my Belling Oven
Bought a Belling oven in October 2020 and it was faulty. Harvey Norman use contractors to sort out these issues. One issue has been fixed but I am still waiting for new trivets (which might actually fit the cooktop) to be delivered. It is a classic case of ‘pass the buck’. No-one - including Harvey Norman - can tell me where the trivets are, let alone when they might be delivered. I am so incredibly disappointed with Harvey Norman for failing to offer me a swift and practical solution (ie replace incorrect parts) so that the cooktop can be used...and used safely. I have been very patient and have made many, many phone calls. I left feeling that as Harvey Norman have my money, they care very little about whether the oven is working - or for that matter is safe to use with I’ll-fitting trivets. Hopeless. I would give zero stars to Harvey Norman, but that unfortunately is not an option.
Do NOT recommend
Absolute disgrace! More than happy to take your money but there is absolutely no service whatsoever. A fridge was purchased, $1400. Item arrived which was fine BUT Harvey Norman Hervey Bay use contractors who not only damaged mums floor excessively they don't even help you assemble the item because they are 'contractors'. Living through an absolute nightmare trying to get a fridge handle screwed on. It is impossible without damaging the fridge! I would not recommend this place for anything. Heard much better about the Good Guys who actually HELP you assemble your purchase. Never again ugh.
Too much questions
Just wanted to buy a range hood after waiting about 10 minutes a staff member came i said I want this range hood and then started the questions like why i want this where I'm going to put it and more . If you are not technician DON'T ASK. After she checked if it's in stock started the questions again phone number name address . Come on i only wanted to pay take the receipt and the range hood and go home not answer questions . What they think they are , police ?

Never shopping here again
After I bought my fridge, they had forgotten to include the installation pack with it, and once I called them up, they had it delivered to me that night. However, the next day, once I attempt to assemble the fridge I realised that they hadn't included the fridge. So, after calling them up, they asked me to come to their store and pick it up, even though I had paid for delivery. After picking this up, I once again noticed I still don't have the full pack, I was missing the filter holder. After calling again for the 3rd missing item, they tell me...that it isn't included even though the manual states I need it. They said I have to get a plumber and he'll have everything, even though their own manual states that their installation pack includes a filter holder. Never shopping here again.
Excellent Customer Service
I bought a NutriBullet from Harvey Norman Melbourne City store a while back and since then, I had several issues with it. However, the manager (Ian) was very helpful and both times he sorted the issue out for me promptly and without any problems. Even though the blender I bought wasn't great, I would definitely still shop from this store, as I can trust them to be cooperative and empathetic.
totally unhappy with delivery service. Crashes on fridge. Called them to fix it but did not reply. Still waiting for them.
Excellent service from Bundall QLD store
Saturday morning, December 12, 2020, I needed to order a replacement for my 12 year old microwave oven.
After contacting a similar company on the Gold Coast, and finding their order/delivery systems useless, I contacted Harvey Norman at Bundall.
Around 10.10am phoned the Bundall store - the store phone was answered immediately, transferred to Massey - arranged payment, delivery and installation within ten minutes. Invoice was emailed within ten minutes.
Consequently, the microwave was delivered and installed by 11.35am the same morning.

No zip pay instore
No zip pay instore only online, special wasn't advertised online only in store,so had to buy a voucher to use zip pay and to get the special, (which still turned out to be more expensive than the other competitors that weren't even on sale!)then had to wait 24 hours for clearance online...an absolute joke, coming from a man who whined about everyone buying online and causing him to lose business...guess what Jerry Harvey you'll never get my business again...absolute shambles,and overpriced!!!
Great customer service
Tom from Harvey Norman, Fortitude Valley replaced our lg microwave that was out of warranty on the spot!! He even carried it to our car and took the old one away. Now that is the service we all want but so often do not receive. That is why we continue to shop at Harvey Norman. Keep up the great work team, we will continue to come back.
We purchased some air conditioning units from the Preston store. We were promised installation and that the window units would be problem. This is incorrect. Their "installation guys" did not show up or return calls, no one else is able to install both window units and split systems. It's one or the other. We now have to figure out how to return massively heavy air con units to them to try and get our money back. Lost our business for life.

I Bought AC and Portable Air cooler from Harvey Norman Store Sunshine. I was amazed by the customer service provided by Mr Hitesh. He was very good on explaining the product and its features and also to read customer mind and offer relevant product which made it easy for me to decide. He is a star to Harvey Norman Team in Sunshine, I am sure all other staffs are amazing as well.
Nobody home at Harvey Norman Albany WA
This relates to the HN store in Albany WA. In 2019 I ordered and paid a deposit (because it was out of stock) on a $500+ electrical appliance. The salesperson assured me it would be in within a fortnight, and they would call me then. Not hearing anything, three weeks later, I tried to call the salesperson. Over the next seven weeks (yes, Uncle Gerry seven weeks), I tried many, many times to get in touch, and either the call "rang out", i.e. not answered, or was answered by someone, who always had an excuse as to why the particular salesperson I...dealt with couldn't take the call, and assured me they/someone would call back. Nobody did, so I cancelled the order and arranged for a credit of my deposit, and was surprised nobody asked why, or contacted me to follow up this lost sale. A glutton for punishment, I recently attended HN Albany WA again to buy a "large-ticket" item, and guess what? The same experience repeated itself. It was groundhog day. I was gobsmacked! Goodbye Uncle Gerry, I will never darken your doorway again. (Hopefully neither will all the people I tell my story.)
Surprised and Shocked
I got my brand new LG fridge delivered today and it came without any sort of cardboard packaging and had couple of dents on the top hand side of the door. When I called Harvey Norman, they suggested that they will arrange LG to come down and replace the door. Instead I asked replacement with the another piece with all the packaging. The guy over the phone told me they don't have particular model in stock and can't deliver it until next Monday and asked me to not to use fridge till then because they have to resell it and I was literally shocked ...to hear that. I was like where will I keep my all frozen stuffs, veges, milk etc and the guy over the phone didn't want to understand. I would never buy anything from Harvey Norman again..Trust is completely gone and service is just below standard.
Rude - taking money and not getting the product
This afternoon I have experienced the worst customer service imaginable from Kevin Diep the 2IC for Electrical at Harvey Norman Preston. The way he spoke to me was rude, aggressive and totally out of line. Customer service should be at the forefront for any store and team including the 2IC, all team members and management should listen and learn about issues.
I purchased $6000 of electrical equipment on the 21st of October 2020. It was to be delivered on 22nd of October 2020. My delivery was short ordered - missing was the Meile Vacuum and Bre...ville Toaster Oven. The Breville Coffee Machine that was delivered was the wrong colour. Emails and messages to Karolina Pekic about the missing items and wrong colour delivered went unanswered unless I chased them up, then had to wait for the toaster oven and coffee machine to be available and go back into the shop and swap them around myself (4th November). I was told that the vacuum cleaner would be ready for pick up on 13th November. I called yesterday (17th November) and left a message with Graham and asked if someone could call me back to arrange a time for me to pick up the vacuum. No one called me back to see if I could pick it up. I then called again today (18th November). I asked to speak to Karolina, the person on the phone couldn’t figure out how to transfer a call and asked me to leave another message and she would get back to me. Karolina did call me back later that day and told me that vacuum cleaner would not be available until 5th December. I am disappointed that I have paid for an item that keeps getting pushed back for delivery. I asked to speak to the 2IC Kevin Diep because this is an inconvenience. Karolina said she would get him to call but he never called. Karolina called me back later that afternoon. I asked her why the 2IC didn’t have time to call back a customer after asking to talk to him. She said she would try to get hold of him again. When he finally answered the phone he had an appalling attitude. He didn’t want to have anything to do with me and offered no help for my missing item. I then asked who his supervisor is (the person who runs the franchise) who I now know is Sean Dixon. He refused to answer the question and just kept speaking over me, he then hung up on me. As a customer we should have the right to speak and not have our issues disregarded because he can’t be bothered. I hope that this post makes management aware that Kevin Diep should never be allowed to speak to me or any other customer the way he did. Kevin and Sean should call me to apologise for his rude behaviour and lack of customer service. I also demand compensation for this horrible experience with Kevin Diep. I would NOT recommend Harvey Norman Preston to anyone. The worst experience I have ever had in retail.

Please don’t go to Harvey norman very polite when they have to sell anything but if any problem occur they will say it’s not in warranty and most of their products are faulty never buy the products with extra warranty the are all refurbished. They offer u 2 year extra warranty but please don’t buy from them they are thief’s please prefer some other stores who have better products and good price than these thugs
Yelled at by 'manager'
I purchased an expensive vacuum cleaner from Harvey Norman 18 months ago. It came with a 2 year warranty. Vacuum cleaner decided a few days ago it wanted to start over heating. I called Harvey Norman and they tell me I have to call the manufacturer of vacuum cleaner so they can authorise replacement. I do this. I go into Harvey Norman this morning and they tell me that they will not replace even though I have proof from manufacturer that they are to replace. I stand my ground and say that not only do I have proof from manufacturer but also as p...er ACCC they have to replace as it is a 'major fault'. (Cordless vacuum cleaner overheating on the dock I would class as major.) The manager of that section (Sue at Munno Para SA) says no we will send to our technicians and they can decide whether they can fix it or whether it is overheating due to misuse. I then start to get annoyed and say I am not leaving until they remedy the situation especially since the manufacturer has given me proof for them to replace. Manager Sue yells at me (and I mean yells loud enough for people to turn around), 'I am not dealing with you anymore'. Then she storms off. I manage to find a young girl who apologised for her managers attitude and said that she personally couldn't fix the situation but for me to leave the vacuum with her and she would try and get a regional manager to fix the issue. I asked how long this would take. She said she is not sure but it could be a couple of weeks or more. So now I have proof that I should have a replacement, no replacement and possibly a few weeks wait with no vacuum. I have contacted the manufacturer who have said they will try and sort it out, but I am not holding my breath. I was made to feel like a piece of dirt this morning by some vacuum cleaner section manager on a power trip. Never again Harvey Norman. I wish I could give zero stars.
