Bad installers on washing machine.
In early September my wife and I were in the market for a new washing machine. So talking to the sales person we were looking at a 8kg Fisher and Paykel, she claimed to be a very good seller and recommended it.. {This will be another story later}
Now the price was almost $1,000 with delivery and disposabe of our 17 year old frontloader... We arrange for the delivery to be on the coming Friday. It happened.

Extremely Arrogant and Rude Sales People
I have had consistently bad and rude experience with sales people at Auburn shop for last 10 years or so. Today, I experienced again with two different sales women: one just walked away without comments when I asked about a discount after price match for a high end fridge with another store. The second one at the washing machine/dryer aisle when she told me in direct words that "We work here for commission, I don't have time to explain features if you are not going to buy it today. I suggest do your research online and come back and I can give you a quote. I have a lot of customers and phone calls to attend to".

Just not interested in helping you when you're under warranty. I had to go find the replacement product myself. Rang lots time just never rang back.the product i got isn't what I want but just couldn't do that again just shocking

Terrible customer service - Bad product information
We recently purchased a TV and a fridge from Harvey Norman Bundall QLD and while the products are so far satisfying, we thought it was necessary to let people know of the terrible service we have received. The 2 gentlemen we dealt with were nearly annoyed to help us with the purchase. No advice were given on the products and bad information were given to the questions we asked. We were told that we could reverse the door opening on our fridge ourselves but completely omitted to let us know that it would void the 5 years extra warranty purchased...
Read more!!! Leaving us only the option to call one of their specialist for an absolutely over priced service (Which we ended up not doing). We are very polite and discrete people and felt like they took advantage of it. Brought a bigger tv
The only set back we have found with LG tv the lack of support from them . We have found it doesn’t s support all apps and this really is a downfall in their products . We own 2 of their tvs and will never buy they products again .

Check that delivery!!
We ordered a Westinghouse Stove in store. One then picks it up at a HN Warehouse. When we picked up the stove it was fully packed with insulation. However, when it was opened, it was a CHEF brand. WASTED TIME followed. A fairly basic part of the transaction, one would have thought, to supply what was ordered. Anyone dealing with the NSW Auburn Store needs to be very careful. The Manager was HELPFUL, however, he was up to his neck in complaints the day we rang. I think that says it all.

Still no better
One would think that a store as big as this would be able to get their act together and provide some sort of customer service, it usually goes well until you ask a a question and they can't answer it, well why are you working their if you have no idea about the products your selling, then when they go ask another staff member for their help they too are just as dumbfounded by my question which I thought was pretty simple, all I wanted to know was, why my barrel vacuum cleaner kept stopping halfway through using it, the staff didn't know a thing...
Read more so I contacted Electrolux and asked them and they replied, oh it's a safety mechanism.....so I said to them do you know that Harvey Norman are selling this Vac of yours and none of the staff could tell me what was going on with it, so they are selling items they know nothing about, so how about training your staff to at least know a little bit about the items they are selling and it's not just vacs, I went in to buy a multi cooker, asked her the question on how good are they and how it works and, she had no idea and then it was like she thought to herself, these questions are too hard I better go serve someone else, because as soon as I asked her what it was like and how good is it and have they had any feedback on the product etc she started looking around the room for someone else to go serve, leaving me to gaze upon the many varied and different multi cookers that I am not at all familiar with, the only good thing I have to say is she was at least polite saying, excuse me but I need to serve this other customer, yea don't worry about me being a customer and getting half your attention and what made it worse was she came to me asking, do you need some help...hello yes i'm over here I do need to ask a few questions about this product as I am not familiar with the multi cookers, I didn't end buying one that day or ever and haven't been back since then.SyedPerth, WA

Service - not great
We went to Harvey Norman one night and dealt with a sales person named Vu. We did end up buying from him because store was closing and it was the last day of the deal. Included in the deal was free delivery and install of tv and fridge. However, at time of delivery arrangement he denied offering free delivery of fridge but he gave anyways... BUT with a note - drop off only. Well.. we thought ok, how difficult will it be to install the fridge but it turned out to be so much of a hassle. We're also left with a big box - very hard to dispose. Vu was unpleasant to deal with. He can be quite sarcastic/rude. Not funny though.

Lack of customer service - faulty washing machine
I bought a $700 Simpson washing machine in the Shepparton store. When it had a mechanical fault about 2 weeks after the warranty expired I was incorrectly advised in regards to further action that should have been taken by Harvey Norman at that time. I was still entitled to have the machine fixed under warranty given the severity of the problem, the short time since I bought it and the price of the item. I'm a pensioner and can't afford hundreds of dollars of repairs for an appliance that should last at least a decade - not 2 years.

A otherwise good shopping experience marred by bad delivery
Bought a Mitsubishi fridge at the Gepps Cross store in SA. Salesman was very helpful and the shopping experience was pleasant, even managed to get a few hundred dollars off the ticket price. Unfortunately things went downhill onwards. First, delivery could not be arranged until 7 days after order was placed even though I was told there was stock in the Mitsubishi local warehouse when the order was placed. 7 days is too long by any measure, especially if there is local stock. Read morery will happen between 4 and 6 pm on a Friday. I took things out from the old fridge and waited for the final phone call prior to arrival. I received a call at 4:30 and was told by the driver delivery could not happen because he failed to pick up the fridge from the depot of a trucking company because the depot was closed by the time he arrived. I am no insider of the logistics industry but I think unless the driver is a complete newbie, he would have anticipated the early closure of these depots on Friday afternoon and would have made suitable arrangement to avoid this from happening. Delivery
I paid $65.00 to have a fridge delivered. It was going to a university. I spoke with the driver and left detailed instructions on how to find me so I could show where it was going. When I rang the driver to ask where he was he said he left the fridge at the warehouse he drove past. I had to borrow a trolley and wheel the fridge hundreds of metres to where it was going. Very poor. I have had other items delivered in the past and the drivers were good.

Vax vacuum cleaner - Pet pro
Bought Vax from Harvey Norman 2 Mths later the head stopped functioning. Went to store ( Broadmeadows ) they ordered new one after 2 weeks rang to see if had arrived. Not yet so they rang rep he said on the way.
1 more week goes by rang again and they said they will get back to me as they don't know where it is.
Very frustrating when under warranty. If i ordered a new one i think they would have it within the week.
I order from China and get within 4 days. Go figure

Too big to have average customer service.
They have a bad return policy. They're average at everything else, but their return policy is the reason I won't be returning.
You just can't return items unless they're broken. You may have been sold on a product to realise the sales rep lied and the reviews are actually terrible, too bad. No returns.

Great Product Eventually
We recently purchased a tv for our bedroom. We were very clear that we wanted a smart tv, we purchased a display model after the sales assistant telling us how good it was and that it had everything we wanted. Poor service
Went to Geelong store to buy a fridge. Unhelpful staff that avoid you if you apparently don’t look worthy. So I bought $2000 fridge from a competitor with better service.

Not happy
Went yesterday, 4th July, to look at a Westinghouse stove advertised for $988, in the catalogue ending 12th July, '19. Went to purchase it today, it had gone to $1148, and they would not honour their advertised price. A disgrace!!

I wanted to buy a cooktop. Rang this morning and asked to speak to the appropriate salesman . Told he was speaking to another customer and would call me back. No response. Poor service. I will shop elsewhere.

In my experience Harvey Norman have been charging higher prices for their products ever since I can remember....I am a 76 years old pensioner. They appear to rely on slick over confident sales pitches to fool their customers into purchasing their products and stop them from shopping arround....be careful!!!

Can't blame the sales person. I was accepting of the sales pitch. Once at home we realised the fridge didn't have the features we agreed that we wanted. Unfortunately we are pensioners and can't afford to do anything about it now. Be careful!

No Price Guarantee - Shop with no confidence.
Bought fridge and next day I found same product on eBay bit cheaper.
I contacted the store i bought they said they don’t match eBay price. So why putting price match.
