Worst Experience, they promise you the word for a bit of commission
they sold me Product Care several times over the years when purchasing high value white goods and electronics. The sales person told me that the product care cover accidental damage, i purchased the product and paid $500, 30% of the product ive purchased. The first time I needed to use this services they made it impossible. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE THIS AGAIN. Worst experience ever. One star is too many.
Superb after sales support
After purchasing a Microsoft Surface Laptop in 2017 the extended warranty has ensured the laptop continues to perform brilliantly. I cannot recommend higher the after sales support process and customer support provided by Harvey Norman.
Terrible customer service
I purchased a fridge, washer and dryer from Mohamed R at Maribyrnong in January 2022. On 15 January the goods were delivered with the fridge arriving with dents in the doors. I immediately contacted Harvey Norman and was assured the issue would be rectified with a replacement provided. I provided all requested documents the same day. I did not hear anything further until 15 March when I contacted Harvey Norman to follow up what was going on. On speaking to Mohamed he was incredibly rude advising 'it was my fault that the doors needed to be repl...aced as that was what I requested' and everything was delayed due to COVID. To say I was stunned at his response is an understatement. I fail to see how it is an issue that I have requested that the faulty product that he sold to me was replaced is not a reasonable requests. Mohamed is all too quick to take your money however once done he could not care less about after service. I will never be purchasing from this company again and I would recommend you look elsewhere as when things go wrong, due to their negligence, no assistance will be offered.
I bough a smartphone in store, the salesman offer me an PRODUCT CARE said it ll cover crash screen, which is $180 apx. then when my phone has crashed screen an I call them, they keep saying they don't cover this issue, it's not their fault even when their salemen was misleading and lying to me.
tbh, I won't pay $180 for this insurance in the first place if it dosen't cover what I need (comparing to JB HIFI stand insurance only $25)
then I call their company line directly, they say the same thing again and make even more excuses try to get away ...
Avoid like it’s covid
Brought a laptop for a colourblind child on the manager’s recommendation, it is not suitable and manager is refusing refund would HIGHLY avoid buying anything from Harvey Norman , it’s a trip to fair trading and a court claim for a refund .
Horrible customer service by Melbourne central franchise owner
The franchise owner of Harvey Norman Melbourne central is horrible! He refused to refund me for a faulty cable despite the fact that this cable has countless of bad reviews online and on their own website. He had a really bad attitude all the way through and refused to even look at what I was referring to. In fact, his employee promised me when I bought the cable that if it was any issues at all then I would be able to get a refund. When I explained this to the owner he said I shouldn’t have bought it from the start! What?! How can he possibly ...say that, implying that I can’t trust his own employees! This is simply not how customer service works anymore! After 15 minutes of intensive argument he finally refunded me for the cable but with a really bad attitude all the way through. Horrible! Can’t believe it!

Great After Sales Support and Customer Service
Since April 2021 I have purchased two TV's that unfortunately had manufacturers faults simply as a result of bad luck!
Samsung are incredibly painful to deal with in regards to warranty claims so I appreciate the Harvey Norman Booval TV sales team assisting with the process. This was for a faulty power board on a Samsung TU8000 75" TV purchased online. Harvey Norman Booval were my local store to contact about the warranty claim.
My LG OLED TV was price matched after purchase, within 7 days as it went on sale elsewhere. After a few days it dev...eloped a line down the centre of the screen. The fault was resolved within hours of reporting it to Harvey Norman Booval and I received a replacement TV the following day! This was for an LG 48" C1 OLED TV. Overall I am thankful for the TV sales team at Booval in regards to their after sales support. As a customer who's purchased a lot of products at this store and Harvey Norman Online, I am happy to recommend Harvey Norman to others.
Bad customer service dealing with iphone repairs/replacement
Took 4 weeks to replace my iphone! ? Harvey Norman senior management need to train their staff in customer service and get back to client when they say they will! Client should not have to phone constantly to get updates on service.
With a bit of trouble came through with my claim.
If you have to get an assessment done on a faulty item make sure the person doesn’t put the word “broken” in the assessment as it will be possibly assumed you broke it not that the item is just not functioning.
I never perches anything from Harvey Norman anymore
I have disappointed with the customer service, they don’t have no information about their products and I will never go back there and perches anything from them, they could not solve my problem and didn’t care about their costume, and I have been purchasing 33 years from them but could not help me. So disappointed and disgusted with them.
Horrible, won't be shopping there again!
Extremely unhappy with service, bought a new sound bar, was talked into buying the best, within a couple of weeks the item was faulty and returned, we were chasing the item weekly for 6 weeks with no answers, and no offer of compensation or apology just excuses and playing the blame game, left a review on harvey Norman, was phoned minutes later and abruptly told to come and get a refund today, asked if we could have it exchanged, and was told no just come and get your refund.
The store was rude, and abrupt and after 6 weeks of having not had the item we purchased we are back to where we started with no compensation or even an apology. Stay away from Harvey Norman Bairnsdale
Return process for a faulty monitor
I bought a computer monitor online and paid for delivery as I am on crutches. (Apparently the Maribyrnong store is the only one I can return it to which is an hour drive)
I set it up and it has a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. I called the store asking if they can deliver another and swap it as I paid for delivery and can't physically come in. They said no, ok fine that's understandable.
The guy said just bring it in and we'll swap it on the spot no issues.
2 weeks later when I can finally drive again but explained it's v...ery tricky for me to travel, I was about to drive my wife who doesn't drive and she would carry the monitor in and swap it. Lucky I called to check if they had stock! They said no you have to bring it in and they'll send it away for 1 week to get analysed and then I have to come back a week later to get my refund or replacement. I said as well as being without my monitor for a week I use for work, multiple trips are just too much for me after my operation and please help me and find a way for me to make the trip just the once, they said no they can't help and the process is their process. I guess I'm keeping the monitor with the dead pixel...... Not buying Harvey Norman again

Goulburn NSW Store - Superb Customer Service
I purchase a Waccom tablet online, recieved the item three months later, sadly was faulty, Harvey Norman Online customer service extremely poor and you are required to submit your online enquiry through an online bot replys to email extremely slow (week later) Staff from the Harvey Norman Store Goulburn NSW came to the rescue and we got a replacement tablet so quick and seamlessly. I will not purchase through Harvey Norman online again, I am going straight to the store.
Useless tech service
Bought a laptop , it was having battery issues and was informed that I had to take it to Apple directly as they were the manufacturer , lie number 1.
[name removed] the tech guy doesn’t have an idea of policies and even the apple dude I took it to said that Harvey Norman Warrawong were shirking their responsibilities.
Came back to Harvey Norman with info from apple that it had nothing to do with them and again the useless [name removed] advised that they needed to have a tech report from apple to make sure it had no water damage. So again I ...

on the 26/11 I brought online the JBL Flip5, I collected it at Harvey Norman Cairns - 101 Spence St, and when I got home, I opened the product, it was supposed to be black as I ordered online but it was a green unit, the colour actually did not bothered me but after using it, every 45 minutes - 1 hours, it disconnects from the Bluetooth (mobile phone or laptop) so on the 27/11 I tried returning it and got informed from an employee [Name Removed] (apparently the manager) that he could not refund me as the product is not the same colour as it should be, his worlds were "I can do nothing as this is not the product we gave to you".
It has been 3 weeks now and not a single email or phone call about it.
Terrible customer service.
