TV working for over 6 years
I bought a tv in 2014 just wanting to keep it for a while as it was cheap so i was expecting the tv to die in a few years or so. I've already had it for 6 YEARS. 5 stars well deserved.
Satisfied with ASUS ZenBook laptop computer that I purchased, light weight, excellent materials and great composition. Fast speed and great specifications nothing to worry about. Sophisticated looking and appearance etc.

ASUS Laptop at Harvey Norman
Store had everything we were looking for with lots of options to choose from. The computer guys were knowledgeable to help us find the right product with the specifications we wanted.
Terrible customer service
I tried to return a faulty product however they only gave store credit. I emailed them 3 times and no answer. This was before the covid. Today, I went to use my credits. Initially, they told me that they’ve been used. I really had to explain many times and finally someone found out that they didn’t properly activated the credits or something similar. Terrible experience, waste of time. Not buying from them again.
They saying 60 months interest free, but it’s not, every month they charge you lots of interest, they get you Go master card and charging lots of interest absolutely not happy

Terrible customer service experience - very stressful
EDIT: they exchanged the tablet for me. Maintained until the end that I (or a family member) had damaged it and stated that 'they would be wearing the cost.' Still a buyer beware story though as this was a horrendously stressful experience all round but at least I wasn't out of pocket in the end - they must take some credit for that.
My story: Last week, I attended Harvey Norman at _______, Perth to return a faulty Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) tablet. I purchased the tablet two days prior for my 4 year old daughter who needs a device ...as my wife and I are augmenting her reading lessons with time on the ABC Reading Eggs app. I soon discovered that the tablet had a bend in the case. Photos are attached. When I purchased the tablet 2 days ago I immediately went to Officeworks and purchased a tablet cover. I have also attached proof of this to this email (look at times of purchase on the receipts). When I arrived at the store I went straight to the service counter and I was told that I needed to go to to see a sales assistant in the computer department. This man's name was _______. He took a look at the tablet and told me that he needed to get approval to replace the tablet. I told him that this was not acceptable to me because this was obviously a fault straight from the factory. There had not been any damage to the tablet from my end; as stated previously, this tablet immediately went into a cover after unboxing and stayed there until I took it back to the shop this morning. My 4 year old daughter had at that point only spent 15 minutes with the tablet which was completely supervised by my wife and during which time absolutely no damage was done to the tablet. I told ______ that I wanted my money back or a replacement immediately because under Australian consumer law, this is what you're entitled to if there is a major fault. Instead, he went and told his manager that he needed to come and speak to me. The manager made me wait 20 minutes and then told me that he would not refund me my money nor replace the device until he had advice from the ‘tech’ at his place of work, stating that that this would need to happen in order for the return to be completed. At this point I became really annoyed because the obvious implication is that the fault somehow occurred through damage being done by either me or my family why else would a tech person need to be consulted? He also said that he'd never seen damage like this come straight from the factory. This man, ______, was at turns accusatory, unhelpful, indignant and uncooperative. It was an awful, stressful experience dealing with him. As stated above, I now have a new tablet but it was done grudgingly and without a whole lot of goodwill attached. I will never shop at Harvey Norman again.
Virtually all TVs now are 4K and they look fantastic on display because they show 4K content tailored to show off the images. Trouble is, I don't have 4K content at home. I don't subscribe to streaming services so all I get is FTA TV. That comes in at 1080i for HD channels & 576i for SD channels. That's a lot of upscaling for the to TV do, right? What does FTA look like on a 4K TV?
I asked Good Guys and they flat out refused to show me. So I flat out refused to buy there. I went to HN more to browse than anything else and was happy to s...ee they had FTA TV on their demo TVs. They were showing an HD channel & it looked good. I asked a sales person to show me an SD channel (576i) on one of the TVs; he was reluctant but to his credit he took me to one of the 75" TVs I was thinking of getting and showed me the image on that device only. From that I could see the HD channel looked great on that TV & the SD channel looked pretty good, too. I was worried the TV signals would look "stretched" or blurry on a big TV screen but HN's demo proved to me they looked good. More retailers should provide the capability to see regular broadcast TV on the screens as opposed to only showing tailored 4K content. If you've looked at these recently you'll know what I mean -- the Las Vegas Strip images are outstanding (I think on Sony TVs) -- but I don't have equivalent content to watch at home. Thank you HN for being honest about what the TVs looks like. And they look good.
Negotiating a better price
January this year I bought an IPhone pro max. I went to JB, then the Good Guys (who are both owned by the same company) and Harvey Norman. JB was the most expensive and wouldn’t negotiate, Good guys was discounted from the original price but had to get the green colour only and Harvey Norman then beat The Good Guys price and I got the colour I wanted. They are always willing to negotiate and there customer service is always really good.
I brought the JBL JR300BT Kids Wireless On-Ear Headphones for my child which was advertised as very strong and could bend and not break but it broke after two days from small drop, I returned it to the Harvey Norman store for a replacement but they said no.. this product is in no way suitable for children and I wouldn’t recommend

Great service & products
My partner and I purchased 70% of our furnishings for our new home from Harvey Norman Shepparton and we are very happy with the products we purchased and the service we received. The salesman we dealt with was named Zach and he was a very big help in choosing the right product for us. We have since moved into our home and everything we purchased from him has been working perfectly! I would highly recommend speaking to Zach if you ever visit Harvey Norman Shepparton!
Cairns Store - Sezen & Justin , Pat on the back please
Very satisfied with the points. Received best service, very attentive and helpful, product knowledge was exceptional, we were a bit naive and asked lots of questions, their patience was exceptional.
Brought a tv from my local store and was convinced to buy extended warranty old for new replacement. I wasn’t sure about the option. But went with the recommendation. A while down the track a small line appeared on my tv, so I contacted them, after inspection tv was replaced with new. Refreshing when a company backs up what they are saying with their actions
Sounds great! Lasts a long time and great price!
I purchased a Logitech gaming headset 6 years ago for an amazing price and they still sound amazing and feel comfortable. The material has fallen off from use slightly but they are still very usable and I am very happy to still have them. Didn’t expect them to last this long!
So much better off without this chain
The customer service was... mediocre, nothing to complain about too much. But the products. Good lord. I've bought about 5 laptops from them and each one lasted max 1 year, and all of those I had to return for horrible quality. Strongly recommend against buying any electronic gadgets here, it's not worth your time or money. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Horrible service bad product
We purchased a top of the line vacuum from Harvey Norman 7 mths ago . It’s broken three times been away to be repaired more than it’s been here . This time away 5 weeks ! We call they can’t tell us a thing about it . Last time it broke they super glued it and made us wait 2 weeks to get it ! The worst customer service ever I highly recommend never shopping there we can’t get our money back it’s going to ACCC now all we wanted was a refund to buy a vacuum that actually works !!!
Great deal on Panasonic TV
Have bought quite a lot from Harvey Norman over the years. One thing stands out - 65" Panasonic Plasma HD TV bought on credit from Harvey Norman in 2010. The process was easy and the TV is as good today as it was 10 years ago today!
Great deal on a Sony bluray/media player.
Receveied a great buy for a Sony Blu Ray and media player that was cheaper than JB's. The salesmen was also honest and fair. The happiest I've been with a purchase ever.
Understaffed and appalling price gouging
I bought a fitbit from Harvey Norman and it took nearly an hour. There weren't sufficient staff working - to answer my question, and then remove the product from a locked cabinet. The staff were flat out. This is during the COVID lockdown, and I'd have thought Gerry Harvey could provide a few more jobs for people who really need them.
When I paid for my fitbit at the Cashier, there was a 'sale' bin with 50ml (let me tell you that's very small) hand sanitizers for sale for.... $8!!! Talk about taking advantage of a bad situation! The shop assistant said not many people were buying them. I hope not.
I will definitely shop elsewhere for electrical and other products now.
Try to Return Something
I purchased an electronics item and later found that it wasn't compatible with my device and tried to return it. The item was unopened and I had the receipt from the previous day. I was bounced from one person to another who had their own processes until I had enough. I ended up giving it away to a friend.
I purchased a Bluetooth boom box and the person who served me was knowledgeable and honest about the items I chose to purchase. Assistance was prompt and friendly as well

Do you do pick up now pay later for tv's for how long?
We brought a 75 inch tv on the6th of November for 2600 dollars and now find the same tv going for 2286 dollars.I believe that Harvey Norman has a policy that if the cost of a product is reduced within a short time frame that the price is reimbursed. Can you please let us know if this is correct or has there been a change in your policy? Thank you Jo Robertson
Can i ask a reprint of my receipt when I purchase my laptop last october 2018?
