enquiring on a product i purchased that on using found the advertised functions listed on the packaging were not present on the device, all the time being spoken over by the young man i was explaining this to and being told no one else had a problem with it, in a very abrupt and hostile manner. that was end of story. no help at all only rudeness from what sounded like a very young person incapable of handling an enquiry about a product misinformation on packaging.
Disappointed with Harvey norman
Purchased an I pad and recommend by Harvey norman Garden city in Qld to buy a protection glass for it. When I opened it the glass was broken! , returned it to another Harvey norman and after 45 minutes waiting, they said I must go to Garden city! I said why? As you are Harvey norman!! Anyway, got there after 45 minutes driving, and raised the case, as a surprise they did not refund my money! I remember when I was buying those , they were so respectful and ironically when you return their broken stuff they don’t care!!
Air conditioner too small
Last year I saved up all my money to get an air conditioner installed... I wanted the bigger one as my house was sort of an open plan..
The lady asked for the measurements.. I told her and added there were no doors .. on the kitchen and hall way entries she said I wouldn't need the bigger one the smaller one would be plenty... I said your the expert and proceeded with the smaller unit ..
What a mistake... Not happy , paid a lot of money and it cannot cope with my loungeroom ..

LIE, BUY & BOOTED
I will state facts as not to be deleted.
I was lied to in the store from the beginning of the sale.
Waited until I paid IN FULL to tell me there is zero in stock & I couldn't take the display. But I could organise a credit if I've changed my mind (within minutes of taking my payment).
They then offered free delivery, which was never documented.
So, I pick it up & move on.

Bad customer service dealing with iphone repairs/replacement
Took 4 weeks to replace my iphone! ? Harvey Norman senior management need to train their staff in customer service and get back to client when they say they will! Client should not have to phone constantly to get updates on service.
Treats employees disgusting.
Witnessed a electrical employee get their head ripped off in front of staff and Customers by the Manager! Fkn disgusting behaviour towards your staff! You should be ashamed of your self!

Worst customer service ever. They only say that they can beat price, but they don’t to that. I got a laptop from Harvey norman MacBook pro 8gb ram which it was actually while selling was told will be 16 gbs, 512 storages for 2287, but officeworks had the MacBook pro 16gb ram and 512 storage at the cheaper price. I tried contacting the store persons, said that should be done within 14 days of purchase, but need to go the original store of purchase. Went there, salesperson agreed his mistake and told laptop will be replaced. Manager came and deni...ed claiming it to be customer’s fault. Moreover, while giving the laptop salesperson told it is an 11-generation laptop with 16 gb ram, which was actually a 8th generation, 8 gb ram laptop. And was told to be the customer’s fault. Would never recommend. Worst customer service.
Price Match Policy isn't really a policy.
Their price match policy or lack of is a moving target depending on who you talk to. The vagaries of their online price matching changes, to the point where one Salesman said they never priced matched online even after me showing him the policy on my phone.
WIll never go back
I ordered 2 x apple air tags online for in store collection.
The email mentioned bring valid photo Id.
So i drive to the store present my email, show my drivers licence which i scanned to my phone.
No good, i might have doctored it was the rude reply.
I ask them to call my number, showed my passport on my phone, showed them myGov I’d. showed a credit card, asked them to check their store invoices for previous invoices, call my employer. All no good, i could have forged them all.
Just mindless staff on commission that love being rude to customers.
In the end i asked them to cancel the online order and bought them in store with the credit card they wouldn’t look at a minute beforehand.

I have disappointed with the customer service, they don’t have no information about their products and I will never go back there and perches anything from them, they could not solve my problem and didn’t care about their costume, and I have been purchasing 33 years from them but could not help me. So disappointed and disgusted with them.
Horrible, won't be shopping there again!
Extremely unhappy with service, bought a new sound bar, was talked into buying the best, within a couple of weeks the item was faulty and returned, we were chasing the item weekly for 6 weeks with no answers, and no offer of compensation or apology just excuses and playing the blame game, left a review on harvey Norman, was phoned minutes later and abruptly told to come and get a refund today, asked if we could have it exchanged, and was told no just come and get your refund.
The store was rude, and abrupt and after 6 weeks of having not had the item we purchased we are back to where we started with no compensation or even an apology. Stay away from Harvey Norman Bairnsdale
I went into the QV store today to get the $149 it was on the shelf asked a sales person about it was told it's not in stock just wasted my day
How about taking it off the shelf never will be shopping here again
Awful Service in Karratha Store
Harvey Norman has surprised me with their terrible review record online and my really bad experience today with [Name Removed] in the Electronics Dept. who seemed to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. I ended up spending about 30 mins waiting for a refund to be sorted out while juggling my 2 x toddlers... he advised he needed to get a refund from their supplier before processing mine. I said I purchased from Harvey Norman, so why does the supplier giving you a refund have anything to do with me. He ended up having some smart remarks like "wh...y didn't you just purchase from the supplier" and "you can complain to Gerry Harvey". I ended the conversation that was going nowhere and asked to speak with the Manager who he said wasn't on shift but wasn't able to tell me their name because it was private (so strange). One of the other staff happily provided the manager's name and advised when they would be back in. Hopefully I have a more productive conversation and experience with [Name Removed] (the Manager of the Karratha Store).
Disgusting customer service Horrible owners
After purchasing a new pc and printer I also paid for my old pc to get cleared, updated, and fixed all went well till pick up when the serviceman tripped and smashed my computer to pieces in front of me. Then I had to deal with Greedy horrible Harvey Norman Nowra computer section owner. He proceeded to offer me a used computer from his photo lab which had been decommissioned due to renovation and upgrade. After much debate back and forth he basically said like it or lump it, so I accepted his offer hoping it was in good faith, the first mistake.... We asked for some kind of in-store warranty the answer was no. To cut a long story short after turning it on twice and this was also during covid lockdown it blew up. I took it back to Harvey Norman Nowra it was assessed and if I was told if I wanted it repaired the owner said I would have to pay for the part the shipping and the repair. I have purchased a lot from this store and a lot from the computer section of this store I will never shop there again!
Return process for a faulty monitor
I bought a computer monitor online and paid for delivery as I am on crutches. (Apparently the Maribyrnong store is the only one I can return it to which is an hour drive)
I set it up and it has a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. I called the store asking if they can deliver another and swap it as I paid for delivery and can't physically come in. They said no, ok fine that's understandable.
The guy said just bring it in and we'll swap it on the spot no issues.
2 weeks later when I can finally drive again but explained it's v...ery tricky for me to travel, I was about to drive my wife who doesn't drive and she would carry the monitor in and swap it. Lucky I called to check if they had stock! They said no you have to bring it in and they'll send it away for 1 week to get analysed and then I have to come back a week later to get my refund or replacement. I said as well as being without my monitor for a week I use for work, multiple trips are just too much for me after my operation and please help me and find a way for me to make the trip just the once, they said no they can't help and the process is their process. I guess I'm keeping the monitor with the dead pixel...... Not buying Harvey Norman again
