Congrats for winning the worst customer experience in 2020, stay away everyone
I have bought online a screen with a good discount (on the website) but it turns to be more expensive than all other shops (after the claimed discount), couldn't blame them as this is capitalism anyways and I really cared more about the specs but you should be aware of that if you care about 'honest' discount offers, recieved it 3 weeks later (well, its covid era, we can wait, its not an emergency supplies and maybe the ship is facing the holly winds and didn't reach the borders on time), then all after this waiting period, I got the screen whi...ch was great except it got a killing feature, I can't mount it on desk and I don't havw enough space on desk so that was a bad design in this model and I needed to change it even if I will pay a higher price but couldn't find a better one with the specs I need (they sell only 3/4brands for that model) so I went to the shop and asked politely if I can return it, and they said why? I said it doesnt have a mount option which is I really need so the floor manager plus the store manager and others were like (but no screen got moint options, so I pointed to the screen they scan things at and said what about these ones?) so they said well we mean we dont sell any screen with mount options, then I showed them a less expensive one at their 'own' shop which got the option, so they said in very rude way we dont accept returning any opened products, although I closed the screen and it got no scratch and even the box was closed correctly, so I told them all that and they were like (no, you can complain or use other shops to buy next time which accept a return policy, so I smiled and was like wow, and the guy continued 'I mean I NEVER seen anyone who buy a pc screen then return it, who does that', and this is not the first experience, I got other experience with different product but thought at time it was a considence, it turns to be a culture thing and look at all other reviews, what drove me to write this reveiw, I seen they won the worst customer experience this year as well which means it is not considence, they are truly bad/over priced shops
Customer Service terrible
I looked online last night and saw some Beats headphones on sale for $268. I went to the Carindale store at 9am the following morning and they were no longer on sale, selling for $298.
The salesman would not honour the sale price so I walked out.
I am more than happy to give my money to JB HiFi now, the same price as HN's non-sale price.
In the current retail climate I was shocked at how easy they let me walk out the door.

Worst experience with Harvey Norman after sales service
Convinced by Harvey Norman to buy a Laptop with Flexi Care cover from Campbelltown store. Launched a Claim in June but no co-operation from them.
Never buy anything from them!
Salesman refused to price match
After finishing a bit of grocery shopping I thought about buying a new printer as I was at the shops .
After spending tens of thousands at Harvey Norman the past 10years ( including a recent $1200 tv purchase at the munnopara store ) I went into the munnopara store to purchase a printer.
Before I entered the store ( in the carpark ) I checked on the phone what was the best value printer to buy and which retailer had the best price ,knowing full well that Harvey Norman advertise price match.
I asked the salesman if they would match the cheaper...Goodguys price ( I didn't even pick the cheaper Amazon price ) and as soon as I did .....it was like the biggest brick wall Ive ever encountered from an Harvey Norman salesman.( Rummon) -But they have low stock ..it will cost $50 to get them to post it Etc etc etc..
HP Envy Laptop & Product Care - Beware All
Bought a HP Envy Laptop 14 months ago with Product Care.
Whole base of keyboard bowed that snapped the hinges.. clearly something difficult to do.
Product Care knocked back the claim saying this was from being dropped..really - how can I possibly bend the steel !!! Looking at HP reviews - heaps of issue around heat. (of course denied by Product care !)
Dont waste your mopney with this laptop or purchasing product care ... what a joke, just looking to reject a claim on a 2k laptop. Having purchased a significant amount of goods from this store for home & buisness - diabolical customer service
Install not done as agreed
Criminals, money hungry and bullies Never buy from these people ! I purchased aircons from them and the install location of the unit on my balcony is different to original agreement. During the install I was never informed about the placement of the unit being changed on my balcony. As the installers were leaving I was in total shock to see they installed the unit outside my bedroom window instead of the agreed place of outside my lounge room window. They told me to just build something over it and sit on it with my friends ! It’s blocking my...view and now I can’t put my seating out there properly. They have ruined the only outside area I have and every day I’m crying They also installed my bedroom aircon differently as per originally told but my main concern is having my outside unit moved to the agreed position outside my lounge room window. I’ve phoned, emailed, sent pictures, one staff member called to intimidate me, told me he doesnt believe me and hung up on me. Harvey Norman are telling me they will only move it if I pay for a building certifer to sign off on it. This will cost me many hundreds of dollars that I don’t have as I’m not working and have already paid them over $3000 ! They are hiding behind what’s nothing more than a suggestion of a air conditioner not being less than 900mm from a balcony railing, it’s not a legal requirement rather just a recommendation. I’ve recently sent another long email pleading with them to please just pay for and move it for me but they are now just ignoring me leaving no choice but to take legal action if I haven’t heard confirmation from them by Monday that they will cover all costs in having my aircon installed outside my loungeroom window. I’ve had a independent aircon installer out here that stated these things can be moved and doesn’t see a issue with it, nor does my building manager or the body corporate. The emotional stress they are causing is surmountable, many people are now coming to me telling me of there bad service with them including someone in my own building not surprisingly !

Lenova ideaPad S340-OP Computer with Microsoft Office
WARNING BEWARE WHEN PURCHASING a Lenova computer with Microsoft Office . I have returned this DEVICE THREE times for repair, its still not fixed. They blame Microsoft Office which was purchased through them, Word and Outlook CANNOT BE USED, they wont do anything about that despite us also having purchased "36 months Product Care Replace" Care No:PC-0103100947328. EXPIRY 29/04/2024.

Lenovo Chromebook C340 - Buyer beware
I purchased two of these for my kids today via click and collect from harvery norman Maribyrnong. Opened the box and one had a smashed screen and body was bent. Took it back to the shop and they refused to exchange. They said because the box wasn't damaged it not their fault. They called back and said Lenovo wont give a refund either because they say every item checked before it leaves the production facility..... (not their fault they say)
They simply refuse to refund or exchange even when we called them minutes after being handed the box.
I had no choice but to buy another one and they said take the issue to the ACCC

Don't attempt to return anything or you maybe labelled a liar! Unbelievable. I tried and was told that I must bring in all my equipment to prove that what I was saying was accurate. Never I have ever felt such criticism from a store. Never I have ever felt the need to pen a review due to such poor behaviour and customer service. You can be sure I will be taking my custom elsewhere. I would urge others to do likewise as you only know the level of service when things go sideways and you need to return to receive a replacement or store credit.

Purchased this floor cleaner On the 13th August 2020 from Harvey Norman And had nothing buts problems with the roller coming off all the after about 15min continuous use. Called up Harvey Norman and they suggested going to Karcher service direct. On 2 September 2020 we went to the Karcher Service at Acacia Ridge and informed the person to assist. We showed him the video we took of the issue. The service agent was very defensive, rude and arrogant and refused to take the product in for service. He claimed he had the same product with the same is...sue which is NOT A PROBLEM TO HIM! Despite showing him the video, he refused to accept the product back for service and walked away. We waited for 15 mins and had to leave since there was no one to assist. We then took it to Harvey Norman back for a refund and they said they cannot issue a refund as it has been used. Honestly, how will you know if you have an issue with the product if it has not been used? Very disappointed after spending $530 and not being given the choice of either replacing it or offering a refund for a faulty floor cleaner. I would have got better customer service with another retailer.
Will not harvey norman
Took in a working computer to have the data transferred to a new computer purchase at Harvey Norman, went to pick it up ant they told me that the data was missing on the old computer therefore couldn’t be loaded onto the new computer. Told me it was my fault because I didn’t do a backup yet when I took the old. Mind you, when I took the old computer to them, it was working and all the data was there. Found the technician to be extremely arrogant! For this service I was charged $298.00
Difficult to deal with and a returns policy that is just ridiculous!
Recently I made a computer keyboard purchase, simple WFH keyboard and it was only 1 week old.
I went into store to get a refund, the gentleman in the tech area 'tested' it by bashing the keys a few times and pairing it to their in-store laptop. I advised him a key didn't work but he kept bashing that specific key until it worked. Then said, this is general wear and tear, no refund.
I was unhappy as I knew it wasn't a long term solution, so I asked for a refund. He refused and said no way, there is nothing wrong, albeit he bashed the keyboard ...
Poor business model
Went in to buy a subwoofer today but they don’t carry stock!! I have to order it!!! Oldest saying in sales is you can’t sell it if you don’t got it. Gerry is a very poor businessman!
Go somewhere else
I genuinely don't understand how Harvey Norman is still around. Their prices are much higher than elsewhere and the staff are only interested in harassing you to make a sale. I went in to buy a drone as they were the only place with stock before Christmas and you couldn't even just get one and go to the counter, had to see to a salesperson so they could retrieve one from out back. As he comes back out, he asks if we want to buy the new iPhone and won't stop pressuring us the entire time. No one is impulse buying an iPhone, read the room.

Have bought from local HN before, ideally so that if something went wrong, I could bring the product back without issue. After todays rude and unhelpful experience with "Mark" at Burnie store, I will shop with EBAY!
Bought a TV from Harvey Norman but received a faulty product.
Bought a brand new TV from Harvey Norman but the TV I received it was faulty and Harvey Norman refused to replace item despite being legally obligated to do so.
Really disappointed with the recent experience with Harvey Norman. Bought Arlo pro 2 wireless cameras. Read some reviews and then decided to return the product as it did not meet my expectations. I was told by Castle Hill store that they don't refund for the change of mind. I asked for the in store credit for which I got a shocking reply that in store credit can be used only in computer section and only for that particular store as there are six different franchises in one store. As a consumer I was not aware of the fact and it does not concern...me as I went there to shop in Harvey Norman and not that individual franchisee. I am ok to not to get the refund and shop around something else but why should I shop only in computer section when I don't need one.
Cannot return faulty item
Purchased a LIFEPROOF phone case. The rubber edge was coming off. I brought it back to the store for an exchange/refund. The store deemed it as wear and tear. The rubber band on the edge serves as functional, not decorative. Staff told me that they can process a warranty claim but unsure of results from LIFEPROOF - they may refund, they may dismiss. Also told me that the claims of higher value are more of a priority than a $60 phone case, and that it can take time, so I am better off contacting them myself. Another store was willing to refund. The franchise's do things under their discretion and there is no consistency in their policies.

snapped off , took back to store showed them ,all was told is they do not handle
claims any more, even though they look at product gave me a number for lease company , which is useless as they won't answer call or respond to my email.
I even have 2 year warranty on product.
Taking Advantage during COVID-19 Situation
I went to Harvey Norman Armadale WA shop to buy computer monitor. I was interested in Samsung 24" curved monitor and asked the sales person for its price, and he said it's $198 after sale. I Google'd the model number and found that both Jbhifi and Officeworks selling it for $148 & $149. I showed it to the sales person and he Google'd as well and said that both JBhifi and Officeworks don't have stock so he can't price match. Then I said if he price mach I'll by 2 of the monitors. He replied that he'll price match I will need to pay for delivery ...cost to Armadale Harvey Norman as he has to bring it from warehouse. Then he went to speak to his boss about delivery cost. While waiting I saw that they have enough stock just under the bench where they keep the display monitors. Same model I check product number twice on display monitor and their website. I didn't buy from them as they were lying. Previous JBhifi also warned me about Harvey and how they mislead customers however I didn't believe them at that time, but now I completely believe them and will never buy from Harvey Norman.

Unfortunately I have to click a star just to write my review but Harvey Norman Campbelltown NSW Australia deserves NO star. Customer service in store and via phone is disgusting. Called in to be transfer to a specific department I dont know how loud and clear I should be to be transfer to the correct department. I ask for Electrical/Speakers system dept & I kept getting transferred to other irrelevant department. They promised a week for delivery then 2 weeks came and still nothing with No phone call updates like they kept telling they were goi...ng to do. I end up going into the store for an update. They told me they needed to order from another store if I do not want to wait they were going to give me their dirty display one for the same price. What a Joke?! They need to learn to listen to the customers concerns & updates instead of talking over them. Then the guy proceeds to blame it on courier & then covid 19 like I went to Harvey Norman in America & ordered my product lol. Harvey Norman is the most disgusting expensive store with the most disgusting cheap customer service. -0 star.

Based on the refund policy, our money will be refunded to our account within 14 of the working days, but after 1 month they still haven’t refund my money and before this I have done a lot of things which includes sent an email, asked them in Facebook , did a lot of calling for more than 4 times, but they always neglected my question , no replied, or called me to wait for one week , but after one week I called back to them, they want me to wait for one week again, they always need me to wait and never give me a valid reason and what is actually...happening regarding my refunded money. Just pls let me know what is happening about the refunded money and stop neglect my question or call me to wait without any reason as i have done a lot of things to get back the money I deserve , but my issue still never been settled, haizzz
Waited around 15 minutes to be served by someone. Eventually I was assisted and the assistance was fantastic from that point onwards. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go back for any electronic needs.
