I bought the bed in store at Noosaville. It was a good experience, the person who helped me choose was wonderful. The DELIVERY was terrible. The man involved was rude and unhelpful from the start, he refused to move the old bed from the bedroom, wanted $30 dollars to do this. We had already carried an old bed out of the house to be taken away and paid for this. We declined giving him the $30 and did it ourselves. He was grumpy .

Beware! for new customers
I bought sofa, took 5 months for delivery. Customer service is not professional. Lengthy process and now waiting for a warranty claim resolution for furniture used only for 5 months

Worst experience - carpet
I would not recommend HN for carpets/flooring to anyone.
Bad experience all around from measuring the room incorrectly (David), to arriving at 5.45pm on a Friday night to lay the carpet (they said they would be there after 1pm - which I suppose they were - but really, 545pm!? I called 3 times to find out where they were and the time kept getting pushed back). Unhelpful at first in trying rectify the situation once carpet was too short. Abused by delivery driver
Purchased Berwick sofa guy we deal with left and other sale person give us same price to buy it, from 4 weeks it took them 9 weeks to finally arrived on delivery day driver asked for extra money to take sofa upstairs to home in refusal driver abused my wife and threatened her luckily one of gentlemen confronted the deliver driver and told him leave and he took sofa back after receiving verbal abuse we decided not have sofa from that store

Purchase the Fraser 5 piece setting from Harvey Norman.
Looked great in store and great price! So we thought :( Boxes arrived for assembly after being sent to wrong address! Screws too short to assemble the item. Assembly not for the faint hearted. Had to use our own longer bolts. Will need to purchase longer bolts yourself to assemble. PVC wicker coming apart before even assembled. PVC is held with tiny cheap pins..cheap and nasty item :( Buyer beware do not purchase.
Appalling customer service and poor quality furniture
We purchased a couch from Harvey Norman when we moved into our new house and after a few months we noticed that the cushions had lost their firmness and shape. We took some of the cushions into our local Ballarat store and the customer service staff were very dismissive and unhelpful. It was months of follow ups (in person and via email) before they gave us the option of replacing the cushions at an additional cost of $400. We refused to pay any more for a product that was of such poor quality to begin with.
Even when we escalated our issues ...to the Head Office Manager they were of no help and were once again dismissive. Please do yourself a favour and buy your furniture elsewhere from a place that takes pride in their customer service. If I could give Harvey Norman no stars I would.
Staff in furniture full of lies. Don’t trust with warranty they give you wd words . Din’t Trust wd interest free period you say to them. They can put different time n hammer you hard wd interest.
Best crap I ever bought with 5 years of warranty. It sagged and back cushion dropped significantly.Raised complain as paid top dollars for it. $6000.
Tech came around after 20 calls. Followed up after few months n they lost this case. Came across manager and she treated me like a criminal and shouted for raising my concern. After ...1 year of struggle finally removed it of my property n had it back after months. They did nothing to it apart from smothering and fluffing it up.Raised my concern as no repairs were done . Same manager taught me as how much it costs company to send it to repair and treated me like a refugee. Conclusion is , I end up buying another couch and thinking to dump this eye sore crap at tip.
Regrets Regrets and Regrets
I ordered a pricey Leather Lounge with 14 weeks ETA delivery which commenced mid of July 2019. Now it's 3rd of Sep and I have no clue where my lounge is. Every time I am close to ETA they ask 2 more weeks for delivery. I paid full price upfront at store in advance and had no idea where I am falling. Lost the charm of putting new lounge in my new house which is not that new anymore.
Poor Quality Leather Lounge
Purchased a corner leather lounge from Harvey Norman Carindale 4 years ago and the leather is cracking in the same place on both of the recliners. I chose to shop at Harvey Norman because I believed that they sold superior products to other stores. Obviously I was wrong and I do not want others to make the same mistake. Higher prices does not mean better quality.
Awesome Customer Service
I was looking for an additional sofa for my mother, she did want a matching chair so I visited HN Midland WA and the Sales Representative was very attentive, as there were previous purchases from this store We received a very generous discount without asking however I was more impressed with the Sales Representatives positive and genuine attitude.
Great Customer service
We went into Watergardens Harvey Norman looking for a couch , we met Ohran and he found a couch for us and it was perfect, we had been to a few stores but none were as helpful and accommodating, we will surely Be back.
Very bad quality and customer services
Very bad experience with shopping. My father bought a whole set of living and dining furniture with Harvey Norman and a outdoor BBQ burner. Delivery has been delayed twice. And sofa is defected. One piece of leather is faded, very outstanding and obvious. We submitted a request Ref No. 2056-9848. Harvey Norman sent an inspector and they called couple days later. They told me the supplier commented the sofa is meant to be like this with 1 pc of leather in odd corner with very different faded colour because VINGTAGE LOOKING. Are you serious? Obvi...ously the one piece leather used was not right. Or the entire sofa was not right except the one piece. They commented it is designed contrast. But this is not what we have seen in display. See attached picture for the difference between the display set and set we received and correspondence from HN customer service. I do not care about what supplier explained to you. I saw the display set in Harvey Norman and did the payment to Harvey Norman. Harvey Norman should have responsibility for quality control of all the goods being delivered to your customer and identify if the product is defected or not. Please find attached pictures for the set we liked in display (obvious the colour is pretty consistent) and lounge set we received at home. If Harvey Norman agreed what supplier has told, the 'contrast' is how it meant to be, then I has to say Harvey Norman has not delivered to right product. I am very disappointed to your services, quality and the altitude try to pass the ball around.
Great product. Helpful staff who price matched for us. Lounge suite was delivered on time and very well packaged. We were also able to take packaging back to the store for recycling
I purchased a tempura bed and base from Harvey Norman Highpoint west and when the delivery driver arrived we asked them to take of there shoes as it had been raining and we did not want our newly laid carpets to be stained they refused and claimed it was a OHS thing?
One of the delivery guys was very very over wait (not that i'm prejudice of this) but he was in no condition for this job & to walk upstairs.
They seemed like they where running behind schedule and rushed through the delivery marking and denting our plaster walls & breaking a lig...ht fitting in the process, i had a go at them and told them to slow down there was no care factor i had filed a report i'm waiting for a reply back from the store been one week? The service does not reflect the brand or does it Jerry??
Purchased Corner Modular. When it arrived it felt very soft and saggy nothing like we saw in the Store. Called Harvey Norman and the Manager of that particular Department and one of his workers came out within a few days to inspect. Straight away they agreed with us and the whole amount was refunded back to us. Service outstanding and would not hesitate in purchasing from them again due to their after sales service.

A large variety of quality furniture. A good selection. I end up hours in these shops. So much to see. Great chairs beds mattresses. A budget for everyone which is great.

have had the pleasure of being treated with respect and not been treated as an idiot when asking questions that were of concern to me. store are spacious and easy to negotiate ; the negotiations were settled and everything was reiterated so there was no confusion on both parties,a very pleasant outcome,highly recommended.
The value of a good sales person
This review relates to the Harvey Norman furniture store in Maroondah Hwy Nunawading. The store is quite spacious and well organized. There are always informed and capable (sales) people (bar one who I wont discuss here). We are impressed with the wide range of products available and with the assistance of a very knowledgeable and down to earth sales lady, we were shown a particular recliner chair that was best suited to our needs. I was surprised with the amount of time and detailed discussion that this lady was prepared to devote to findi...ng us an appropriate product for our needs, e.g., size, electric or manual, colour, fabric, grading and quality of leather, production time, delivery arrangements, finance options etc. This chair has been in our lounge room for about six months and we are very happy with its appearance and level of comfort. From time to time, I stand back and admire this chair and contemplate ordering another one so that we can have one each. The catalyst in deciding whether or not to order another chair was the high level of friendly service offered by this particular sales lady at Harvey Norman. Its a good example of the real value of high level customer service, and the satisfaction that this creates for both the seller and the customer. Our second chair is now on order, and we are waiting in anticipation of its arrival. Fortunately, the delivery men will unwrap and assemble our new chair when it arrives, and we can both watch our big screen TV (also purchased from Harvey Norman), together in comfort.

Is all Harvey Norman bedroom furniture complete for pick up or is it flat pack
My order hasn't been delivered after 9 weeks... I am tiered waiting and want to cancel it now. What are my options ?
You need to talk to them about the delay and find out if they are waiting on the product to be delivered to them to on deliver to you. They may have it stuck on the dock. You would be entitled to cancel I am sure but then you may have to wait a while for your new order. Talking to them would be the best resolution
