Bought an item, said 5 - 8 days delivery. No problem, the date I needed it by was about 2 weeks away. About 5 days later - this item is now delayed and is a back order. It literally said in-stock on the website. Anyway, new estimated arrival was within 2 weeks. Well... not really surprised to say that its now been more than 2 weeks and still nothing, not even an update. Their idea of 'track order' online is literally just the receipt of what you bought. No information on the location or transit route whatsoever, even after contacting customer support. Please do not ever buy from these guys, save yourself the trouble. You'd get better customer service from a plasterboard wall.
Don’t shop online with them
Ordered a new Oklahoma Joe’s smoker from them in November. Took it to our house in the south coast and put it together. Noticed that a part was missing which meant I could not use it.
Contacted them and got little feedback. Had to keep chasing them. After 5 weeks I finally got an email from them which said “eta 3-4 weeks”.
That was it, no apology for the stuff up, nothing.
Part still has not arrived and it is now January. Still waiting.
Misleading prices, and extremely poor customer service
Absolute theives, never again. Sold me a TV advertised 'on sale' then 8 days later they wiped 30% off the price, but because that was later than their 7 day 'policy' they couldn't honour it. Their resolution was to palm me off to a store that had nothing to do with the purchase, to see if they would refund me - they take no responsibility.
Sent used item
I bought a coffee maker online for almost $2k. What I got was an opened box with half the paperwork missing and used coffee grounds all over the top. Not just a few from factory testing but enough to suggest this was taken from either a working display or a tea room. I paid premium price I expect a brand spanking new box with unused item. If they only have a display left then I expect a discount or a choice if I wish to proceed with the sale. I got a refund without issue but I can no longer trust this company.
Worst service I've ever experienced...
Worst service I've ever had. I honestly wish I could give a 0 star. Apparently it's in Harvey Norman "Terms and Conditions" that they can cancel an online order 'with or without reason'... meaning, you can place an order online, they will deduct the money from your bank account, THEN do a review through an 'algorithm' which will decide if they're going to accept you order. If they decide not to accept your order, even though they've deducted the funds from your bank account, they will issue an email stating "Thanks for placing your order with u...s. However after careful review, we have decided to not accept your order. We apologies for any inconvenience." To be clear, this isn't because of stock, it's because of a 'security review' which is so secure they apparently won't even tell you what is wrong, despite the fact that they've collected your money. I've honestly never known anything like it... but I digress... then, they will then, of their own accord return the funds (which takes 3 - 5 days), BUT the clincher, is they will tell you it's 'for your security' that they cancelled the order, because it could be fraudulent, however if you try to talk to them, they will not answer any questions about it... rather they tell you to email them, which makes no sense because email is less secure, to which their response will simply be "our terms and conditions state we can cancel an order with or without reason". When you call their customer service line, you will get a response stating that the line is no longer serviced, but you can use facebook or whats app, and speak with a bot... because we all love a bot. Overall just the WORST online buying experience... and STILL I have no idea why my order was cancelled... just because they felt like it, it would seem.
I am so disappointed with the service I received from Harvey Norman - online store, Bondi Junction store and Moore Park. I ordered online a $19 charger and found i had ordered a charger for an android phone and not an iphone.
Customer service said i can return it to a store but its at the stores discretion whether they would provide a return or refund, and proceeded to send me Harvey Normans t&C while on the phone with them. Dishonest do not honour warranty, break the law
Very dishonest company, will not replace a 3 day old MacBook with hardware issues and under the law they are required to. Took 5 wks to repair and now it is not a new computer anymore because of 2 hardware issues being replaced, buy I paid for a new computer. I made a complaint with consumer protection and carefully told them all details and they insist I am certainly entitled to a refund. Apple completely agree I have the right to a refund too, they have also been trying hard to get them to refund me, and have even been calling them directly. ...I tried very hard to make Harvey Norman do the right thing but they refuse and simply don't have care because all they can see in life is business and their own profit. They approach business in a way that takes care of themselves even at the expense of honesty.
Poor Show - Unimpressed
Tried multiple times to buy a treadmill and it kept getting rejected. The email advised to contact security, which I did, and after 3 emails received no response. Customer service was unable to assist and only referred me to security.
These make up purchase "product care warranty" before putting your item in the cart. THEN when the product is broken or faulty and you ask for a replacement or help their response is "Can't help you sorry."
Well why the hell are you making people pay extra for warranty when you, refuse to be of any assistance or replace the part.

Cancelled my item literally about 4 minutes after I ordered it but it still got sent out. Looked everywhere for a phone number but they dont provide one anywhere.
Read from another reviewer that they dont actually store items in their own warehouse and deliver directly from the supplier. So I ended up having to call the supplier for my item and ask them to cancel it BY MYSELF. I also had to pay a fee for a part-way delivery trip for an item I literally cancelled 4 minutes after ordering. If I had known they would've taken this long for "awai...ting a response" (common horrible customer service phrase), I would've just called them myself earlier or ordered from somewhere else. Ridiculous for a corporation of this scale. After talking with them on their online chat, they stopped responding after 2 messages. Absolute joke. SO not only do they cheap out on customer service, but they also don't supply the items in their own warehouse- they get it directly from the supplier. Clearly cutting corners in anyway possible to save money as all greedy big corporate businesses will.

Wish I read the reviews beforehand! They don't have the items in stock that they say they do! they simply offload everything to a dropship supplier. You will order your item expecting it in 10 days and receive nothing! I spent nearly $400 and one month later and creating a ticket I still have no information on a delivery time. Worst customer service ever!
I have ordered a Nvidia Msi Rtx 3080 over 2 months ago still nothing not even a sound out of the customer support team, i have tried to contact them around 10 times by now but the automated bot keeps telling me someone will contact me but still nothing this is ridiculous
Always great experience buying from Harvey Norman
An excellent customer service and perfect delivery service. They are always either on time or early. The interest free shopping is hassle free and simple. Just buy it with your approved card and everything else will be done by the store.
Also they have a great communication. They straight away call you after the order placed to confirm your preferred delivery date and time.
The delivery is also great, the guys brought the item to my unit and also prepared if for self installation with no additional cost.
I purchased an item that cost over $100 on Dec 4, 2020. I have since been refunded my money in full after multiple issues. Issues experienced are outlined below:
- Not informed of shipping details within the specified 4-10 day time-frame. Only informed of item being shipped after I made contact 12 days after purchase.
- No tracking details or information regarding attempted deliveries -delivery was apparently attempted twice before successfully delivered, but no note/email/text message to inform me of such attempts.

Harvey Norman online follow up service
I purchased a petrol water blaster for work. I had no dramas with it for a couple of months then had the pressure pump side of it fail. I contacted the online support/warranty department and had no returned contact. They said a representative will be in contact soon. I ended up fixing this problem myself eventually. Ive then had engine problems with the motor side of the unit to be told the same thing. For the past couple of months I have contacted them several times to be told they will contact me without a return contact. I then called my loc...al store and she was not happy with the result so she followed it up from her end for me to eventually (2-3 weeks) get a email back advising because I had a non authorised 3rd party (me) repair the machine that they could not help me. Now if they were to actually have a follow up procedure I wouldn’t have had to repair the machine myself and maybe then I would have a machine that still works. I will be making contact after the weekend with them to see what they say about it all. If they had a problem with me fixing the pump side of the machine I will accept that however the problem is now related to the engine side of the machine so it should be totally different. I guess by buying a product from Harvey Norman online means you have no warranty and definitely no follow up service if you require it.
Ordered and paid nearly 1200 for play equipment for all the grandkids. Received 2 deliveries with missing parts. One delivery left on the Street in Bathurst shopping area. Cannot talk to anyone and we've been left with a pile of wood missing parts that cannot be assembled. Now 31st Dec so our grandkids missed out. Disgusting company.

This is the review I left....Great game for next gen consoles. Seriously one of the better games I have played in years when it comes to this genre/series. I am 80 hours in and still going, it is optimized for Series X so plays and looks brilliantly. If you have a TV that has VRR, ALLM and game mode, the input lag on this game is brilliant even on graphics mode. Even though it is running 30 FPS the game does not suffer from any input lag, the game in performance mode really shines with 60 FPS and seriously smooth game play. Pick your poison but both offer an exceptional gaming experience. This far exceeds what Cyberpunk 2077 failed to deliver. It also supports Quick Resume which I counted 6 seconds? from one game to this. If you like the AC series, this is a must on next gen consoles. ^^ I don't understand why my review was rejected, cannot edit it and they emailed me asking me to write a review. If you don't want a positive opinion, don't ask for one.
Online store refers to physical store
Had an issue with the tv that I’d ordered online
Asked the chat team online if they could exchange it
Was told I’d have to ask the store that the tv came from and physically take the tv in for an exchange
The store was 100+ km away
Online team said that was the only option which is ridiculous
Called my local store and they thankfully went against the usual policy and exchanged the tv despite it not coming from their store because they had no stock.
Cancelled order - no explanation. Left out of pocket 2-3 Business Days
I ordered 2 laptops and a screen for my wife and son this morning. Chose click and collect from one of the stores (Everton Park, QLD) showing items all in stock. Paid through PayPal and money deducted from my account (just under $3,000), only to get an email 20 minutes later saying that our order has been reviewed by Harvey Norman Online Security, and has not been accepted (no further explanation given). Apparently will need to wait 2-3 business days for the funds to be returned. Wow, this is incredibly poor service. If they had some concern ov...er fraud or some other security issue, a phone call to validate our purchase would have sorted this out ASAP. We could have driven to the store and bought the items over the counter, now will have to wait a few days to get our money back. I will NEVER buy from Harvey Norman (online or in store) AGAIN...and will be letting everyone I know just how rubbish their service is.

We have been in lockdown and I have had difficulty in line , My local store also has had delivery issues.

It was on line yesterday for $1398 I have tried to purchase today when stores opened.,
but apparently the price increased this morning.
I have spoken to JD in O’Connor Branch and he is happy to honour the price as lady night,
they have had difficulty in getting stock delivered to sell last week .
He does still not have the stock
He has recommended that I message you cannot ask you to negotiate on my behalf to purchase.
He advised you cannot do this with store without stock, he told me to ask you to call Osbourne park who he has confirmed there us stock available for me to purchase.. I just need to confirm that I can buy at the price yesterday $1398.
