Ignored after online purchase
Similar experience to other 1-star reviews. I ordered a small electronic component online on 11 March. Promptly received an email the purchase was being processed. 30 days later, still waiting, I emailed asking for an update. Received a reply "A support representative will be reviewing your request and will send you a personal response.(usually within 48 hours)." Five days later and 37 days after order was placed, having received no response, I emailed again to cancel the order and I purchased the same item at JB HiFi. Seven days later, with n...o response from Harvey Norman Online, I cancelled the order and requested a refund. Four days later and 48 days after the initial online order I received a text saying the item has been shipped. o response to my emails, no explanation, no apology. With this lack of communication I am reluctant to return the no longer needed item in case Harvey Norman Online continue with the same level of communication and I will be out both money and product. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend not ordering from Harvey Norman Online.
Still waiting for click and collect refund
After numerous emails, phone calls and messenger attempts to get a refund on a click and collect order I picked up and returned same day. I'm absolutely disgusted with the lack of communication and customer service from Harvey Norman. I have had no contact since the 7th April and are still out of pocket $159.95 awaiting my refund.
WARNING to all customers don't do Harvey Normans click and collect. They WILL not refund your money or even make contact with you. But they are quite happy to take the unopened item and resell it.

Product gr8 online service sucks
Purchased 2 laptop's online was assured by staff at Morayfield that I should receive a tax invoice, tried to contact the online dept for email of tax invoice even on social media they chose to ignore me...here's the one sided conversation all you had to do was email me my tax invoice...too hard too bad then enjoy the review
Misleading saying the item was in stock then no communication
Similar to Mike Anderson's review. I ordered the exercise because it said it was in stock. I also ordered 2 other items which were delivered within 2 days. There was only email to advise that the bike was not in stock and there were awaiting delivery from the supplier. 2 weeks later, no bike, no communication. On Tuesday I contacted HN via WhatsApp Harvey the Chatbot answered (eye roll here). After providing my order number 3 times Harvey told me i was being transferred to a specialist. After waiting 24 hours for the specialist, I tried...again. I asked for a refund and the real person at the end of the chat said that was fine and she'd organise it. On Saturday I received an email saying that the refund was being processed. I also received an email from Paypal saying that HN issued a refund. No just waiting for the money to hit my bank account. Certainly won't be buying on line from them again.

I purchased a 55U4750A TOSHIBA 55' 4K NETFLIX SMART HN TV on behalf of a friend who 76 years old, in a wheelchair and has Cerebral Palsy.
It has got to be the worst TV on the market, it stops working most days, it freezes most days and then it has to be turned off at the socket as it can't be turned off by the handset, this unbelievably hard for my friend who can't get to the socket from his wheelchair.
I've called Harvey Norman who have just put it in the hands of the contracted engineers and this is so unfair for someone whose life is as bad as it gets, sometimes he has to wait all day until his carer arrives to turn the TV on.
An absolute waste of money and this TV has been like this from day one and it's only six months old.
Was sent the wrong item and then was refused a refund or replacement!
I ordered a blender online and received this box of plastic instead of my product. Mistakes happen and perhaps you are over working your staff. So I jump online and wait in a queue (which initially tells me is a 7 minute wait) 3.5 hours its finally my turn and after some back and forth I was told my blender would be sent. Great, no harm done.
But nothing happened, no confirmation that we had had a discussion about a replacement via email. Another week goes on an I receive an email saying you would send a blender and would send me a tracking num...
Shame Shame Shame on you Harvey Norman
As consumers we have become accustom to a certain level of service when we deal with reputable business names. So, I never expected I would see the likes of Harvey Norman treat their customers with such appallingly, callous, and insensitive manner when wanting to return a purchased item.
SHAME! Shame! shame on you Harvey Norman you are a disgrace to the retail industry, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
My daughter and son in-law walks in to the Aspley store on Sunday and after having to wait for over 30 minutes by which time their 7-mon...th-old baby was inconsolably crying and my daughter and son in-law were very stressed to say the least. Under these circumstances and spending around $3000, they bought extras that they felt they were pushed into buying things and then realised afterwards they did not need these extras, and when returning back to the store they were told sorry there is no refunds for a change of mind. COVID 19 has bought hardships to my daughter and they cannot afford unnecessary items and they were lied to about buying a phone that had an Optus plan. Due to my daughter who is moving to a new job in remote WA she needs to have a Telstra plan not an Optus. They were told by the sales person just buy this plan and then you can hand back the sim card to Optus and cancel the card and switch to Telstra. This way you get the cheap phone. This was a lie and to cancel the Optus contract you had to pay out to Optus the full price of the phone.
Ordered hard disk received wifi adapter instead
Wow, this have been quite a ride. Ordered hard disk, but delivery guy brought wifi adapter instead. Didn't except it, he said that he'll return it (no signing of a package btw). This was on 30th March.
Numerous messages sent about wrong delivery, on only two of them got response with "someone will contact you".
Last message about refund send to them 16th April, bot said 24h response time,... still no reply.
Shopping experience with Harvey Norman have been quite terrible.
Wrong tracking number and slow response to online chats and email
They provided a wrong tracking number saying “delivered”. But this tracking number is actually a purchase I made from another store. I think it’s Australian post to blame to mix up these two orders of mine and provide Harvey Norman a wrong tracking number . However, I can’t get my delivery from Australian Post without a proper tracking number. Meanwhile, it’s hopeless to contact a human working in Harvey Norman since you can’t call them and they are not responding your email and online chats. Frustrating!! 90 dollars Wasted!! Lesson learnt. I am not going to buy their products online.
Took order even though no stock, now can't get an answer from them
I ordered a puzzle online, their website said they have stock of multiple types. They took my money, 24hrs later I get an email saying the puzzle is on backorder but shouldn't be long. A week later I haven't heard a thing. I have tried to contact them to find out how long the back order would be or could we swap for a puzzle that is in stock but I can't even get onto anyone (sat on their chat for over 3hrs and no one replied). Now reading all these reviews it seems I will be flat out getting a refund. BAD BAD processes HN! The same thing happened with Kmart for part of an order, they notified me and processed the refund automatically - I didn't have to do a thing. NEVER using HN online again!

Worst service and process I've ever seen!
Order online a dryer. Payment went though and I never heard from them again. They make it impossible get in touch with them. Dryer never showed up and now demanding refund! not even number to call and talk to someone! This is meant to be Harvey Norman!
Ordered fitness equipment then was notified a few days later that they were not able to get stock for a few months. Requested a refund and have now waited 4 weeks without a refund for hundreds of dollars. Keep blaming Covid-19 but suspect this has more to do with poor processes. Not a legitimate online shopping location. Stick with competitors that actually know how to run an online business.
waiting for refund for a month now
I’ve ordered four boxes of surgical face masks from Harvey Norman online, when they indicated that guaranteed that the product will be delivered in fourteen days. However, it has been a more than a month, and I haven’t heard anything back from them. I have been chasing up multiple times asking for refund, but the customer service was extremely difficult to reach, waited for days (they only provided via whatsapp, messager or online chat), and they keep saying due to COVID 19 things are slow but I have waited for a month now and still nothing hap...pened. They claimed multiple times that they will process my request every time, nothing has happened. I have tried calling the shop but they said is online purchase and they don’t deal with it. It’s separate systems and I can only contact them via online which is whatsapp /messager/ or online chat. Moreover, on several occasions, when I’ve successfully made the call, the customer service claimed that they were busy, would call back in half an hour, but never actually made the call. I have been enduring such incompetency and unwillingness to respond to customer’s request for over two weeks now. It’s really a waste of time dealing with them. The whole experience of waiting for a purchase that simply won’t come, and a refund request that takes forever to process. I have lost my hope for getting my money ($400) back.
Avoid Harvey Norman
Purchased item online to find out it wasn't in stock, and no time frame on when the order will be fulfilled. They are now not replying to my refund request.
Don't buy a HP computer from them, don't know who has the worst customer service between the two of them.
Once you bought something from them you are on your own. Now I have a child that cannot do her school work because she has no computer. Can not even get a answer from HP computers. Just lost $1700.

Very unhappy with service, product not worthy, arrived very late and not to my door after paying for delivery. Had to go into P.O myself and pick it up. Parts were missing. NOT HAPPY.
My son purchased a laptop online to use it with VR games. He was first contacted by a store in Victoria asking if he'd take a display model which he declined so he was told a new one would be coming in few weeks. A week later when it arrived the box was unsealed, the packing was broken and the laptop had a scratch. The laptop that arrived was a display model and not compatible with VR. Took that laptop to Marion SA store and they refused to replace as it was sold by Thomas town store, Victoria. Rang Thomas town store and they denied it was sold...by them. Lodged an online complaint, followed up twice but no response. Such an unprofessional service. I can see few similar reviews with similar issues. Looks like Harvey Norman is going broke soon and ripping off customers. I'm not going to leave this and fight for my right. I'm lodging a complaint with ACCC, Consumer and Business Services, SA and Small Claim Court.
online refunds insta 360 go
purchased a Insta 360 go camera from online which they do not stock in the stores. Its meant to be compatible with all androids, Purchased specifically for an overseas trip and arrived a day before flying out. This didn’t work on my wifes samsung so i couldn’t use it. They first said take it to a store for refund which i did and they said they cant because its purchased online and they don’t stock it. Anyway to cust a long story short they will not refund it because they say it is compatible however you need another cable . Too late , it didnt ...get used it is still brand new but because of their return policy Bad luck they say. Do not buy online from them , they take 3 days to reply to emails. Go shop somewhere else where. Worst online experience i have ever had. Will never buy anything online or in the store ever from these clowns.
I bought a gaming monitor online and was first contacted by a store in WA asking if I'd take a display model which I declined so I was told a new one would be coming from over east then. How do I make a claim? I ordered a product 18th June was to be delivered 24th June. I’ve sent many many emails to both HN & the courier company to see where it is. I’ve had conformation from both the courier & HN that my item is lost. That was on 9th July but I can’t get any one to take this seriously or to call me back. I’m beside myself I’ve made many requests for someone to call me to no avail. Help please.
