Horrible customer support and warranty
It’s been less than 6 months I purchased a tv from Harvey Norman and then the tv remote failed to work, so then I came to the store trying to use warranty to get new one but they failed to replace it due to POOR management, it’s been so LONG I did not watch anything on the tv.
I wish they understand that we need a remote to operate tv on!

Very poor customer service, deceptive practices
Bought and ordered items from Harvey Norman website, said both items in stock and would be shipped immediately to arrive 2-5 days, not long after I paid received an email saying there was a delay, but they would keep me updated. A week later I contacted the live chat, was told they would contact me that day with an update, could not provide any information. 3 days later no word from anyone, tried to call them and they have no phone numbers, only live chat - so got on that and explained everything again, after waiting forever I am told again som...eone will contact me... sound familiar, I said I want a resolution what is happening and I am told they are experiencing high volume of traffic and there is a delay! Harvey Norman have been in business for more than 30 years, they have been online for more than 10 years, how can you not prepare for high traffic at Christmas? Still have no resolution, have reported their shady practices and false advertising to the ACCC and will not be shopping with them in the future or their partner brands Domayne.
I made an order using some gift cards I was given, then got an email telling me my order was rejected but they refuse to give back the gift card balence. No matter how I try to contact customer service they always end up cutting off the chat, closing the support ticket or hanging up the phone.
Bad experience for the 2nd time so won't let this pass
Black Friday sale got me buying a discounted Swann cctv online. When I came to collect it, item in the box had a different name to my online order. Upon checking closer, the cctv i had now in hand was an add-on device, which means i would need an existing system for it to be used as an extra. I rechecked the item online and it did not say anything about being an add-on camera. Not once was the word extra or add-on used to describe it. Wasted 1hr picking up my click and collect purchase only to return it right after. Had I known, i wouldnt have bought it. It was Black Friday afterall, you wouldnt suspect that cheap of a cctv would be an add-on device. Still, had me at wits-end!
Worst in the world do not do ever ..... It's a scam
I bought a $2500 camera online and received a confirmation email and the money was taken out of my account then I received another email saying they would send me my camera cause of some security thing with my card but they kept my money. I tried all day and I mean all day, three stores, five emails, 6 online chats ECT ECT and no-one could refund me or send me the camera. I asked if I could just come down to the store and pick up the camera since I paid for it and they told me no. The security team is supposed to respond to my distress call in ...48 hours. So they robbed me then refused to give me anything. I will never shop here again. Ruined my day. I was so happy to finally afford this camera and they ruined everything about an exciting day.
Order rejected, but still took our money!!!!
We just ordered a laptop from Harvey Norman online store which cost us $1909.25 including delivery. After sending an email stating that they will be reviewing our order prior to sending an order confirmation, we got a second email about half an hour later saying that our order had been rejected. Reasons given for the rejection included credit card or address violation errors or mismatch of information....seriously??? This is after they had already taken the FULL amount out of our credit card! We are now chasing them up for a refund. They had better refund us quickly as taking someones money without providing the item in question is a violation of consumer law.

Don't bother, useless online experience
I purchased an Ilve cooktop as advertised on the website and noted I would pick up at my local store as offered. Store called to say there are none of the cooktops available anywhere, except 2 display stock in stores 100km away, that I'd have to drive to as they are not allowed to freight glass cooktops. I said I understood these things happen, don't worry, I'll just get a refund please. Because I bought online, I had to phone the "online" division in Sydney, where I was on hold 45 mins till a person who had no idea about the unavailable cookto...p finally agreed to release the $999 I had paid to them. Four days later I have not received the refund. On the day they told me their online system is basically useless, I ordered a similar cooktop from Winning Appliances. It was delivered the next day. I'll never bother with anything from Harvey Norman Online again. I feel sorry for their physical stores being associated with this broken out of date online service.

3 days delivery - 2 weeks in still no news
Ordered a mouse 2 weeks ago - expected it to arrive within 3 days but still no news/update from Harvey Norman.
Contacted their live chat, was told to email to them; After 10 days and numerous emails to them, haven't heard a single word back.
Went into one of their physical shops, was told nothing they can do about as it is a separate business (online & physical).
This is a SCAM. No replies, no news, no help. Couldn't find a better word to describe it.

the worst experience of customer service from online and instore at chadstone Harvey Norman, bought Ghost Recon breakpoint gold edition online then picked up in store and that's when it started to fall apart i asked for the codes to redeem my online bonuses from playstation and was told I would get an email, I got the email but no redemption codes at ebgames and jbhifi you get the codes printed out on the receipt, so I phoned online multiple times and was told yes we will send out the codes 7 days later still no codes, I then ring the store and...get told come in we will give you a refund, arrived at the store went and spoke to the lady only to be told no i can't give you a refund I will call online, after almost 45min on the phone I get the response we will find the code and give it to you tomorrow, the purpose of getting the codes is to redeem them when you start the game not wait a week and then keep waiting, spoke to the store manager and he was useless as well no refund just more people that have no idea about customer service, shame on you Harvey Norman Online and Chadstone Update finally got a code but it's useless now 9 days later it needs to be redeemed when you first start the game to gave the benefits, a total waste of time and money. this post was not approved by Harvey Norman online or there website so I'm putting it here
lack of customer service, follow up, knowledge
ordered product, waited a week followed up more than 10 times. no one knew whats going on and found out it was discontinued and to get it refund, i wasted more than 5 hours in total on waiting on calls, sending email.
I at least contacted them 25 times over the phone and email.
they do get back to you with false information or redirecting you to somewhere that you have to waste time on again.
please avoid this company

Bought a Nintendo on line with 1 hour click and collect. They rejected my purchase but took the PayPal payment. Rude on the phone. No explanation email reply. No Nintendo.
Prices on request
What is the point in having online shopping if Harvey Norman won’t display prices on their site. We are all time poor, went on site to look for stools on HN site which displays all their stools however “prices on request”. Well that lost me, I looked at a site in Richmond, was able to chat online re the stools which had prices listed and on top of that they stated they would put the 4 I chose aside until I go in on Wednesday to have a look. That is true customer service.
Not happy Harv!
As a good customer am disappointed with Da Vinci Q Quilt set $349 plus 2 shams $160+ Plus delivery.
Size too small for my bed...colour diff from pic. ( said champagne but almost brown) Called to exchange to K size and pay difference.. said NO!!! I get it that I bought online however if I had bought in store would be able to return etc.
Extremely disappointing for such a big company with a good reputation. Am stuck with $500 of useless goods!

really bad assistant. name is lee Anne..for every second she was asking help from her seniors.if she doesnt know anything about product how can she assist customer..because of her we ordered wrong mattress.
i called the store manager next morning that we r not happy with the product at least can help us with exchange..and she refused it.she wasn't even listening us.We are purchasing our all stuff from them since 5 years..and we end up paying $1500.00 which we r not happy to use at all.really rude staff..and they dont even have most of the produ...
Terrible. Cheat their customers by charging for gift cards with invalid codes!
Bought a few hundred dollars gift cards from Harvey Norman online. When trying to use these gift cards to buy something, they failed to work and online people can't help. Will have to raise a credit card charge back. Bunch of cheats!
Extremely poor customer service
I purchased a Dyson V10 absolute and it took just under three weeks to arrive when I was informed it would only take 3-5 days, but it was worth the wait. A great product, very easy to use and also much easier to change all the attachments, and to empty than the V6 I have. But if at all possible I would never order anything from Harvey Norman online again. When my item didn't arrive after a week I rang the number suggested on the invoice and was told to ring back on the Monday and speak to Carley. When I rang back on the Monday I got an answerin...g machine where you could not leave a message. Rang Harvey Norman customer service, waited on the phone for over an hour and did not get to speak to someone. Sent an email request, got an automated response immediately saying somebody would get back to me never did. I could go on with all the other calls I made without success. The v10 finally arrived via Mudgee when it was suppose to come from the Gordon store. I should have gone to pick it up.
EOF sale online - poor performance
Have used the online shopping before and collected in store with no problems. However, with my new online purchase with home delivery request HV used a courier company, didn't advise tracking, freight didn't get delivered, reached out to them via sms/email/whatsapp with no positive outcome. So disappointed, whilst I try to support bussiness in Australia rather then paying cheaper from overseas or using a local competitor. Never will buy again from them.
The worst customer support ever!!!
Received wrong size and unable to contact call centre to arrange a return and correct item. Over the next 3 days I left three callbacks and didn't receive one! I contacted online chat support twice and was assured I would be contacted in 48hrs. After 48hrs I was assured again by online chat that it would be another 48hrs! This is day 5 and after another hour on hold (& a third online chat) I have been told the store was never been notified of my issues or attempts to contact them! The store itself when FINALLY advised of my concerns were lovely, so thanks goes to them for being the ONE star I give this rating!
Good deals if you look hard enough
Have purchased a few items online over the past year or so. Most products are overpriced but have found them to be competitive with some of their sales. Furthermore, they have competitively price matched a couple of items without any problem.

One of the worst online experience I have had in 20 years of online shopping. Bad communication, non existing customer service.
I placed an order on the 2nd of May for a camera and 2 lens which was part of a kit. Somehow they managed to just send me the camera from the kit and 3 weeks later I am still waiting for the 2 lens to arrive.
I contacted the customer service on messenger and have only received the reply that they were looking into the matter.
Why they think that it is OK to take your money and only send part...

How do I make a claim? I ordered a product 18th June was to be delivered 24th June. I’ve sent many many emails to both HN & the courier company to see where it is. I’ve had conformation from both the courier & HN that my item is lost. That was on 9th July but I can’t get any one to take this seriously or to call me back. I’m beside myself I’ve made many requests for someone to call me to no avail. Help please.
