where is the Donna lounge g suite made
You would need to google where they are made, or contact "HN" directly. My review was only for my local store
Looking at buying a Portland 2.5-Seater Sofa with Chaise, but I can't find any reviews. Has anyone bought it? thoughts?
I purchased the berlington 3 seats and two recliners . I purchased it because it was the exact brown I was looking for. When they delivered it, it was GREY. The store manager said that the colour changes depending on your lighting at home? What? This is not what I want and I would really appreciate it if this was rectified.
I'm wondering if anyone has purchased the aquilla 3 piece manual recliner leather lounge. Any information would be helping. Thank you.
Do you take away old recliner when you bring the new
We paid $2878 for a spa bath and were told we would get a 10% Harvey Norman Gift Voucher... after paying for the bath we asked for the gift voucher but were informed we had to wait until the spa bath was delivered... this took several months and several weeks after the spa bath arrived we realised we didn't get any gift card !!! Would be buyers please be aware of these marketing practises & promises...
Has anyone got the kade / kobe lounge? We ordered one and it’s so hard and not like the display on the floor. Did anyone’s soften up quite a bit ?
Yes I got a Kobe and the floor is more comfortable Contact Ncat and they will help it’s worth the trouble
I have purchased a fabric couch under 6 months old. One back cushion is sagging already. Is it still under store warranty?
I would say so. Call them and ask.
How seriously does Harvey Norman take the consumer guarantee? Not very apparently, they are a law unto themselves and make it up as they go along. My ex-partner and I purchased a LG fridge with ice-maker 6 years ago along with a $5000 oven, a microwave and other kitchen appliances, we were renovating our kitchen. Everything was purchased on the same day from the same sales assistant all delivered to the same address. My ex-partner put the fridge on his interest-free payment plan. This becomes important later. The freezer stopped working and because the freezer no longer works neither does the ice maker etc. Not being mechanically minded I called a repair person out on a Saturday to have a look at it. He advised it was the inverter compressor that actually has a 10-year warranty. The repairer advised he would reduce the price of the Saturday call-out and send me an email because he knows how Harvey Norman can get with these things. Long story short the proprietor, rude man that he is, has consistently pushed me back to LG (againt ACCC laws FYI). Oh and apparently cant do certain things because my EX, who they have spoken to twice and he has given them permission twice to deal with me, has his name on the invoice DESPITE all the other products purchased on the same day from the same sales assistant all being delivered to the SAME address ergo concluding that the fridge was actually a joint purchase but had to go in his name because of the interest-free method of payment OH and it can be proved that payment for said fridge came out of a joint bank account. First I had to wait for one of LGs repair guys to come out and assess my freezer. His conclusion, he couldn't tell whether it was a gas leak (only a 5-year warranty on that as it was pointed out to me, apparently consumer guarantee doesn't apply here either) or the inverter compressor (which has a 10-year parts replacement warranty only! I will have to pay for the install) Interestingly I called around to a few repairers to get prices and the prices I got for where I paid for the labour but not the part were just as or more expensive than the ones where I paid for labour and parts.....hmmmm. So one would assume a freezer not freezing - ie not doing what is meant to do would be a major fault right? According to this proprietor NO. Because there have been no previous faults with the fridge/freezer this isn't a major fault. The LG technician cannot determine the cause of the issue. Major issue? Again NO. I am supposed to pay for the repair and if it works great happy days IF it doesn't he will relook at the situation for me. Very generous of him. I submitted a case through Fair Trading then lo and behold I get an email advising that LG has generously decided to pay for the labour for me. The problem still being they are unsure of the problem. So I am supposed to re-arrange my life and work again so I can make time for a repair tech to come out and maybe fix my freezer. I politely declined this offer because after doing my research if this issue is exactly what the first tech had told me, the one I paid for, then the it cant be repaired. So now we await a date to go to QCAT and the ACCC called me yesterday for more information and sent me an email of my consumer guarantee rights. I sent them all the emails between myself and Harvey Norman Rothwell and they have deduced from these emails that Harvey Norman is pushing me back to LG and trying to diminish their responsibility. So in answer to my top question. Does Harvey Norman believe they are a law unto themselves and that Australian Law and Consumer Guarantees DO NOT apply to them. HELL YES they do!
I purchased a washing machine & dryer. These were sent from AEG to my local HN store and from there they were delivered to me. Both arrived unboxed with just very thin plastic wrapping for protection, and even then there was no plastic covering the top of one of them. Is this typical of white goods from HN? I can't imagine that AEG would have sent them to the store like that..
I've previously purchased white goods (online) that arrived in boxes with ample protection so it seems very odd.
Despite the fact that besides 2 very small scratches to one of the appliances display panels (not happy about, but no doubt they'd tell me I was being picky if I complained) they appear outwardly to be otherwise undamaged, but I am not totally happy or comfortable with the situation.
Can you do layby from shop with all things an washing machines
I bought a recliner lounge (3 seater) at Harvey Norman Campbelltown just over 4 years ago and unfortunately the material is peeling in a relatively short life for such an expensive lounge set. I believe it's the future leather, the one that is not leather and advertised as more breathable and wearable. If this warrantable? It has not been mistreated (not damaged), has had been used for light usage for a recliner, and for the price of a high end recliner lounge I would not have expected this in this time frame. I can get the details of the lounge and look for receipts but is this lounge covered for things like this within 5 years? I have bought much through Harvey Norman so I hope they will stand behind their reputation of selling quality furniture.
Good luck. We have always patronised this store. Sorry to inform you but once the item is paid in full & in your home there's no customer service. We've been through customer service twice thus far. The best they will do is put you in touch with the supplier - then walk away...
Ok note taken thanks. No more purchasing furniture through Harvey Norman then
Hi, I’m having the same issue could you pm me as I’d like to chat about your lounge, I feel it’s unacceptable to have a leather lounge peel after a few years
same here, unbelievable. they say their genuine leather has 1 year warranty. after 2 years the coral bay suite, ($4800) started peeling. i also bought their care cover...they wouldn't replace it.
Does Harvey Norman do lay by
You would have to ask HN - I dont know
We were shocked today and feel we were being discriminated against, what used to be free ,now attracts a $99 charge ,just to transfer data of your old tablet to your new one As a Veteran Samsung offers us not only huge discount ,but support like this free of charge Why are we older Veterans being targeted because of our Age I managed because refused to pay such a large fee which didn't take much effort Why such large fees for loyal customers
How much extra does Harvey Norman charge for being treated like dirt and to be lied to and fobbed off, or is this a free service you provide?
Do Harvey Norman like to F..K people over and Go out ot their way to be Dishonest, Rude and Lie? Or is this just how you the sort of people you like to recruit?
Do Harvey Narman remove old lounge sets if you buy a new one from them?
No Harvey Norman don't, but as most stores use independent delivery guys if you were wanting your current lounge delivered to another address, I'm sure for a price, most of the delivery guys would help you out, even if they had to come back after they finished their scheduled deliveries for that day. Not sure where you are but if you only want to get rid of your old one, our area have Giveaway Groups on Facebook. I'd try that, or a FB Sale Group if it's in good condition. If it's not most Councils offer up to 2 Kerbside collections so depending on the size you may be able to arrange for free pick-up from your Council, rather than having to dispose of it yourself. Hope this info helps.
Our Coral Bay 2 seater lounge cup holder light won’t turn off on one of the cups, can you advise how we can get it fixed? At the moment we are turning it off at the PowerPoint when not in use. Thanks Madge Morrison
Looking at the Leather KADE Lounge, but as we need it L Shaped to our particular requirements, with Electric Reclyners at each end of the L Shape. We have to specifically order the number of seats we require and according to the Sales Person, who was very helpful, will be paying 'a premium price' Anyone else buy this way? Any advice appreciated. He did say for the price we'd be paying it would be assembled when delivered.
Ours is 13 months old, the electrics are broken on the middle seat, and the left hand seat is now sagging.
I'm looking for reviews on the kade lounge. It's that the one you've had issues with?
I haven't had issues with it. I ordered one, but was originally asking for opinions and looking for reviews. But no one answered and we placed our order before Christmas, so expecting it sometime in the new year. Hoping it's as good as the salesman promised, as we're restricted by the shape of the room and the placement of double doors
I’m thinking of buying the Kade lounge. Very few reviews on it. Did you receive yours? Does anyone else have any feedback? Belinda C - just confirming yours was the Kade?
Hi we received our Kade Lounge Suite and the matching Reclyner last week. It's a lot firmer than I'd remembered it being in the Showroom, but as the booklet that came with it said, Showroom furniture has people trying it out etc so like a new pair of good shoes, expect it to feel firmer to start with, which makes sense. I love that the reclyners not only have the electronic foot control but also you can adjust the headrest with the other end of the button, which is awesome. Our older lounge was a more rounded design and therefore bulkier, whereas the Kade is a squarer design so it actually doesn't take up as much space and our room seems so much bigger, yet we actually have more seating because of the combination we chose. I wanted as much seating as possible. We have it in an L shape so the seats with the armrests are reclyners and then we have a separate reclyner as well which gives us plenty of seating. We ended up spending $10,500, but that included delivery and installation. And I feel it was money well spent for the amount of seating we got. One section of the L had to be shorter than the other, because of our double doors, so to get the extra seating I chose a larger width for the seat with the armrest on that side, then the armrest on the longer side has all the seats the normal width. I was worried it could look out of place, but it blends in well. So you can really play with the seat sizes to get the most benefit to fit your room. I chose to only have the end seats as reclyners, but you can have more. Also, because the headrests are adjustable, I found they don't take up as much room, when they go back, so you can have them closer to the wall, which again gives you more room. Even though we spent more than I'd initially intended, I'm really happy and feel I got good value for my money. The top and bottom of the lounge seats come in 2 pieces and are put together onsite, so not that it affected us, but if you have tight access to the room etc it makes it so much easier when they deliver them. The separate Reclyner was all one piece though. Hope this helps
Hey Kaz - just wondering how it was going after 4 months as we are looking to get a Kade ourselves...the review from Belinda was pretty crushing!
I have the same problem as one of the other posters in this group! The electrics are broken on the middle recliner of our Kade couch, this has happened 3 times now and its not even 2 years old!!! and the middle seat doesn't get much use! I WOULDNT recommend buying one. The manufacturer wipe their hands of you after 1 year saying it's out of warranty! I'm very upset! This was an expensive couch and now the middle recliner is stuck out and we have to pay someone to fix it AGAIN.
Hey there. How is the Kade? We got ours delivered and it’s hard as a brick. Not like the display one at all. Did your soften up at all ?
We brought one in June this year and it is very uncomfortable and very hard nothing like the one on display in store. Not happy with it at all.
I want to know if harvey norman bedding can dismantle and then set up my electric bed
