My layer Martin contacted me 2 days prior to give me a time of arrival. He arrived early and was very respectful of my house and the needs of me as a customer.
Very thorough with his workmanship and attention to detail.
Not only a superb job with laying, but no damage to any of the 4 rooms he laid and no damage to any wall. Took all equipment and old carpet and was gone within 2 1/2 hrs.
Would highly recommend him to anyone.

Just had hybrid flooring completed by Caringbah store. Have no complaints about the service in store and the staff helped us as much as possible with problems that arose with a fairly complicated job. Would like to praise the sub contractor, David. He went out of his way to make sure the job was as near to what we wanted as possible. He was always willing to speak at any time and source material not normally in his range.
Smart strand carpet is rubbish.
Life time warranty on stains . Rubbish. False advertising having rhinos peeing and crapping on it and not stainning, Biggest lie ever. Was told the stains are my fault as I didn't clean up spills or wees straight away. HN Derwent Park Tas came and replaced a patch of underlay where the biggest stains are because as he said the stains were coming back up through the carpet from the underlay. Well guess what, the stains are reappearing again. He then said it's called "wicking" where the spill seeps through the fibres. Was then told that that's wh...ere we are not told that this can occur. But they love to take our money. Oh and apparently stain resistant is different to stain proof. Didn't have the backing of the franchisee owner either as all he kept saying is, they agree with him, as in the manufacturing company, that it's not a warranty claim it's where I didn't clean up the spills. If i knew there had been a spill I would've wiped it up. The video of the rhino on the carpet didn't show anyone living with him and following him around cleaning up after him. One angry customer who spent thousands of dollars on what was meant to have a life time warranty. I only want my lounge room carpet replaced not the whole house. Thankyou Robert for fighting for a loyal customer.......not.
The slightly backed vinyl floor covering does not perform well in hot or variable temperatures. Confirmed by family in Queensland and in Tasmania. Pretty much ruled put everywhere in the country.

Very nice carpet
I have been very happy with the carpet we were sold. It was on sale for a great price. The install was not as I would have expected, I called to have the installer come back as he had not stretched it over the nails on the edging. Looking at it today I still don't think it's ok . My carpet mats that I asked to have made from the only remaining piece were not all made. Mixed emotions about this big purchase.

Harvey Norman have a huge range of colours, shapes and sizes of mats, rugs and carpets. All within a price range every one can afford. Updating any room could not be easier.
Lived up to promise
Damien from Harvey Norman Osborne Park WA made the purchasing experience so easy that we parted with our money happily. Laying team of Robert & Shane were courteous, co-operative, clean, and punctual.
Everything ran according to schedule. We are very happy with the whole experience, and our new carpet!
After sales service appalling
Pre-sales service enthusiastic and helpful, however installation was sub-par and despite numerous complaints over the phone, by email and in person I’m still waiting for the problem to be resolved.

Pathetic customer service from Harvey Norman and Big River arrogance!
Paid $10,000 to get the "best" engineered spotted gum timber floor. We wanted the floor to have the look and feel of real solid timber and found that in 'Big River New Generation' Spotted Gum. The floors looked absolutely fantastic and the installer did an excellent job. HOWEVER, after about 12 months linear bubbles started to appear everywhere, it started to look like skin pealing when you have been in the sun for too long. The Harvey Norman flooring Proprietor from Balgowlah came to have a look and agreed it is not acceptable and will get...Big River to repair under warranty. We were very clear that we do not want the whole floor resurfaced and they agreed that will not be done. They did the repairs whilst I was overseas. On my return I found a disgusting looking floor, they have resurfaced the whole floor with a "plastic" feeling coating and trapped dirt, hair, etc everywhere. The floor now looks dull and looks and feel like plastic, there are scuff marks, blemishes and trapped dirt everywhere, it looks absolutely disgusting and far worst that the problem they were supposed to fix! The HN Proprietor agreed and brought the BR MD to come and see. Then the whole situation changed, the BR MD treated us like garbage and stated he did us a "favour" to resurface the floor as the warranty does not cover it! According to him the peeling is normal and acceptable! We now have a $10k floor which we do not want and both HN and BR ignores us. The HN Proprietor executed a repair job we did no want or ask for, he did not do what we requested and now ignores us.
Never ever buy novacore
We had this nova core product installed about a year ago. The first day it had marks all over it. Our very light weight dining chairs which all have a soft bottom scratch it just by half lifting them up and out from under the table. Its supposed to be catch resistant. The product bends like paper and is missing half the thickness. We had the rep out Stewart, and his report came back saying we had damaged it. Its faulty plain and simple. They now have a new product which is twice the thickness and doesn't bend, thats what the product is supposed...to be like but they released it such a hurry they must not of tested it properly or they just thought they'd make some money off suckers like us before their proper products comes out, I will be telling everyone I know and using every review site I can to tell people about these crooks. I run a business and have hundreds of customers in the building industry so they picked the wrong person to rip off.

Not Flooring Experts at HN Aspley QLD...
Just bought hybrid flooring in November and had the HN sales person tell me that it was for putting over tiles. It was quite expensive so assumed that was true.
When I had my measure home visit, I had a different person do a few quick tests and said the floor ‘might’ need a ‘little’ prep in some areas, but seemed good enough for this flooring. I was never told the prep would be an extra cost or if absolutely required.
The installer came (really nice guys) and explained that almost all tiled rooms are never flat, and showed parts of my tiles that would cause issues.
The installer recommended ripping up all my tiles or prepping all the tiles with a compound.
Wonderful experience from start to finish.
We recently brought Godfrey Hirst hybird vinyl floor planks in 320 Sunlight from Harvey Norman Liverpool Mega centre store. Rhynal was our sale consultant. I found him to be very friendly, informative, he knew his products & what he was selling. He answered all our questions & concerns so it made our buying experience much easier.

Service all the way at Bunbury Store
We recently replaced some woollen carpet in our house from the Bunbury Store. The product was excellent, staff keen to secure custom. Carpet Layers Alexandra and Drasko finished off doing an excellent job of laying the carpet and a great experience. Based on our experience we would recommend this store.
Easy to install Vinyl flooring from HN Malaga
I went to couple of shops looking to buy vinyl flooring that i can install myself.I went to HN malaga just to have look at their ranges /prices and I was surprised that they actually had a lot to choose from. I ended up liking their novocore vinyl range, which I could easily install myself, because I could click them together without needing glue or underlay. I was surprised that the salesperson went out of it's way and gave me a small demonstration on how to install it, very helpful. I asked him to give me his best price, as I have been to oth...er shops and the prices were cheaper but the salesperson matched their price and I was very happy as this product looks far better than the ones I had seen. I am very happy with this vinyl and I found it easy to install, thanks HN Malaga.
New underlay not installed (until I complained)
I don't want to get him in trouble BUT I believe our installer tried to avoid installing our new underlay, possibly thinking we would never know. When I walked past the rooms that were getting new carpet (replacing smelly old carpet), I could see the new carpet sitting on top of underlay which didn't look new (with a slightly yellowed surface and old paper tape). But I wasn't 100% sure - it was exactly the same brand as the new underlay that we'd ordered (Harvey Norman Cirrus) and it wasn't easy to detect that it wasn't new. So I went outside t...o the installer's van and saw there were several rolls of new underlay inside the van. Also there was no old underlay in the rubbish pile, just old carpet. So I reminded the installer that we have paid for new underlay. He said he was going to ask if we wanted it changed, but why would he ask that when we had ordered and paid for new underlay?? So I insisted that the new underlay be installed. Well I kept checking back and could see it wasn't being done. So I said that I want to see the floor boards before he lays the new underlay. Still I could see it wasn't happening so I stood there for a while and watched him do it. Thankfully it was all changed and I'm happy now. But please be warned that this can happen. Do not trust your installer, make sure your new underlay is installed. I will upload a photo to show how the new and old underlays look identical, so it's easy to be fooled. The only differences are (a) the old underlay was taped where it joins another piece whereas the new underlay wasn't taped anywhere and (b) the new underlay is date stamped.

No Customer Service
Recently visited a Harvey Norman flooring department for whole house flooring to be replaced. Choose from the carpet range and floating flooring range and asked for pricing, supplied sales consultant with plan drawings of all dimensions and contact details, was informed quote will be emailed withing a few days. No quote was received till complaint was submitted 3 weeks later then quote received was only for carpet and I was informed consultant had lost plan drawings. There is a lack of customer service and no focus. I contacted another flooring supplier and they attended a measure up and provided pricing very quickly and had exceptional knowledge to product recommendations.

Just wanted to thank Harvey Norman flooring Charlie for all the work he has put together. Charlie always had everything completed in a timely manner… He was patient, always responded my queries, always kept me informed and explained the process well. Very impressed!
Questions & Answers
We ordered carpet recently however said that we were months away from installing. We initially asked for our deposit back because of incorrect measuring on our part and a price hike however came to an agreement. We picked a colour for purchase sake however now when asking we are told the carpet is ordered and we can't change the colour despite us saying we were months away and may change the colour????
We have paid a large deposit but not sure what to do as we know it will be a case of 'can't change your mind'...not sure why carpet needed to be ordered prior to use 100 percent confirming
Godfrey hurst hybrid XL flooring, can anyone share their opinion on the wear and tear on these pls?
I have been recommended Godfrey Hirst Hybrid 1200 for my bedrooms. Does anyone have experience with this product?
