You get what you pay for.
Saw it an Australia Post sale and loved the colour, and the fact that it was only $20.
Our previous stick blender, which is still going strong, is a Black and Decker BSM100 which we got about 20 years ago!! I thought I'd get this u-beaut red one just in case the old one carked it.
i got to use it *one* time, then it went in the drawer for a month or so, and when I pulled it out today to use it... I plugged it in and it started 'chugging'. So I swapped power points.... same thing, till eventually it did nothing at all when I pressed the button. So it has been consigned to the recycling bin.
So yeah, you really do get what you pay for.
