Good bang for my dollar

published

The H9 is great a good allrounder vehicle and has coped easily on the 4x4 tracks and water crossings up to 80cm in depth, while remaining in the Auto mode only.
The comfort is excellent I found for my personal needs and passenger/s when carried. The cargo space is more than enough for most people. My main use of the vehicle is on sealed surfaces and it's good to know that the vehicle has the ability to use the Various driver selectable 4x4 modes should they be required.
I am happy with my vehicle and have covered some 55,000km with no dramas.
Depending upon the standard equipment level that you prefer, You get top value for your dollar compared to the competition and saving thousands of $$$.

Don't waste your money

Diff pinion seal went at 80,000km. Waited 6 months for replacement part and then the dealership tried to refuse warranty. Now at just under 150,000km the driveshaft is damaged and are telling me it's not a warranty issue. $840 for a service at the dealee is ridiculous. A friend also had one and the motor blew up under 100,000km and had to fight them for warranty and then had driveshaft issues at 170,000km. Would never buy another one

Purchased in for $50,000.

Raved about it to everyone till it broke

published

Happily owned since new and now has a severe issue and still under the warranty period although Haval has refused to accept responsibility for the warranty claim and thus we now have a lemon that will cost us money to repair. Really expected a new car to last a little longer then a few years

Great cars when new but dont expect to fall back on a warranty if there is any issues down the track. Would I buy it again ... NO WAY !!!!

I love it until now

published

Hi I love my Haval H9 it’s just like the prado but without the price tag I have rated this car to everyone just have to be careful one day I put my kids in the car and key in my bag in and the car locked on me lucky my child was able to unlock from inside but still a good car. Until I have had no issues until today serious problem my car just stopped in the car park and would not drive engine was still running than would go into reverse or drive and wouldn’t come out of 4x4 waiting to see what wrong with it was scary as raining also once it decided to drive again the traction turned off it was very weird like it had a mind of its own.

Purchased in at Audi Dealers for $45,000.

Best decision ever!

published

The car gives you best value for money, with it’s features and drive comfort. It is powerful enough if you’re not looking for a thrill of a race car, and towing of a transportable house with V8, 5L turbo diesel. Plenty of space and excellent build quality.

Purchased in for $44,990.

Great vehicle

published

Brilliant vehicle. Traded a 200 series as I had issues with dpf, Park brake, automatic lane assist, poor infotainment and just boring. Switched to haval h9 and took the risk. So far.... i actually look forward to driving this vehicle. No issues as of yet. Just great capable automobile. Half the price, double the warranty and more. So far.... better vehicle. Don't know about reliability yet but no issues and feels solid.

Purchased in for $45,999.

TERRIBLE HAVAL . CARS- I Have 2 x Haval H9 - OMG they are so bad. Absolute Crap - NOTHING but problems. The parts took 7 weeks to arrive. 1 Car Motor blew up after 54,000 klms and they wanted $15,000 to fix it. I have a company with 40 Cars and never owned cars as bad as Haval. You will loose so much time and money if you buy an Haval. Regards Mike

Great value for money

published

Only had my H9 for a few days but overall love it, only negative I have is the reverse camera talking to you when putting the car in reverse.
Time will tell how this car holds up for it is def great value for money. Service pricing seems ok for a new car, some of them, a little expensive but not quite as expensive as some car manufacturers. Very comfy to drive, massaging seats an added bonus and actually very pleasant to look at.

Good Value for money but few issues.

published

Beautiful, well built 4*4 suv with tons of room and nice features. Drives well and is comfortable in the city with nice interior features.
Few issues.
Fuel economy is low for 2 litre turbo (13l/100).
Engine noise creeping into cabin
Bad vibrations at speeds above 100 and gets worse the faster you go, Which Gets Very uncomfortable at times on long freeway drives. Hoping to get it fixed through warranty (5 yrs).
Central Locking malfunctions.
Good value for money as a family suv.
(Thorough Test drive on freeway for few kms recommended).

2Yrs After owning the car. Having more issues and HAVAL doesnt seem to be interested in fixing it. Problems from day one. Better to skip this car , I suppose. I will try again to contact them and get it sorted.

There's a new excuse everyday. We had a similar issue and it got worse over time to the point of severe mechanical failure. Wasn't covered under warranty naturally

I have a H9 (Ultra) 2019 and have issues with the motor shuddering randomly, it has been in under warranty 5 times now and is going in again tomorrow, have been told its possible carbon build up.
As the issue comes up randomly i dont believe this is the problem. If i stop and turn the car off problem disappears but comes back either in a few min or a few days.
The check engine light comes on and sometimes with it flashing, has anyone else had this issue

Hi mate, I own a H9 ultra 2020. Since December last year I haven’t had any major issues, except for the windshield right viper motor, that was making scratching noise. Done 6.5 thousand ks now and so far so good.

mines done 31k and this issue has been the last 6 months, they are starting to say its not a warranty issue
