Finally! 5 Star Australian Dog Food
I had been on the dry dog food merry-go-round for a few months, researching this product and that. I don't trust brands made overseas anymore, not after our last two dogs died of cancer, my sisters dog died of cancer and even my Vet's dog died of cancer! My biggest problem is that most Australian brands use Chicken as the protien for large breed puppy food and I don't like how our chickens are raised here in Australia. Anyway, I finally found this brand by Pete Even's, who it seems had previously been on the same journey as myself, searching for good quality dog food. Unable to find what he wanted, he ended up enlisting the help of a top pet nutritionist to make his own, quality 100% Australian dry dog food which is as healthy for his dogs as his food is for him. My dogs love it and are thriving on it. There is no 'large breed' food available in this brand as apparently this food has everything that every dog needs. I have mine on the 'Dry Dog Food Adult - Kangaroo And Lamb 12kg'. I also make dinner for my two dogs (1 x Beagle 12 Months & 1 x Rottweiler 6 months) in my Thermomix which consists of beef mince, brown rice, sweet patato, carrot, egg, peas, corn, parsley, cauliflower, broccili, celery, zucchini, thyme, rosemary and tumeric. They have 110g and 400g of this respectively each evening and in addition they have fresh, free range Chicken necks 100g and 400g respectively for breakfast every day and then the dry dog food in between. I also add a calcuim and phosphate additive to their evening meal. My only negitive for this product is the bag it comes in is a bit flimsy. Just be careful when you open it as it splits easily on the side. There is a resealable zipper which you have to carefully pull apart in the middle, to open the bag and then you can reseal it each time.
