No Show No Response
Do not use. They no showed and had no response to our request for updates. Only way to contact them is via email address that doesn't help when no shows up. Waste of time.
beware of booking a regular clean
they help themselves to your payment details and will keep charging you whether a cleaner turns up or not (Actually i told them i cancelled my services, but they kept debiting) won't stop until you cancel the credit card. Also on there website, it is very difficult to see how to cancel your account (probably on purpose)

Signed up for the weekly clean. The cleaner did not show up. Nor was there any response from her to multiple messages. Nevertheless Helpling has charged us. Altogether very frustrating
Late or missing payments to cleaners
Hi we are one of the providers under the Helpling platform. GreenClean Australia has the Helpling contract for Australia and gives us the jobs on the Helpling platform.
Treatment to the cleaners have been absolutely terrible. Late or missing payments. No response to messages. We will be escalating this matter as they have owed us more than $1000.
Do not hire them.

The app and website are complete garbage.
Its very difficult to change bookings. I wanted a cleaning service, and successfully had one with them. Then I moved house at short notice and wanted to cancel their service. but it populates a weekly or fortnightly clean forever into the future on this ridiculous calendar view. Try cancelling a regular clean, it's impossible! You have to email them to request a change, and they never respond. Or they make excuses like “I’m sorry we’re unable to find your account”. Good grief!
It's leaning towards...questionable business ethics. I'll try and get out, and I wont be back. UPDATE: now they are trying to charge me a fee to cancel the service. And have threatened legal action to recover $22.50 from me. They retrospectively increase the fee for your previous service if you later decide to stop a recurring arrangement. Wow. I pity their business model if $22.50 is something they value so highly that it destroys a customer relationship, and whatever social flow in effect (eg this review) that has for them.
Service is just getting worse
I’ve used helping for the last few years and initially they were great - since then the cleaners and service are getting worse and the cost is going up.
Helping really just want to be a payment platform - they seem to take no responsibility for the service that you engage with them to be provided. Feedback is ignored, cleaners don’t turn up and you can’t actually contact them.
They also take weeks to correct billing errors which is really frustrating!
I was once charged for 5 hours when the cleaner was here for 2 because she felt clean...ing the oven should result in her being paid, cleaners are always late and this week didn’t even bother to show up or contact me. Previously I could have resolved this but when I even sent pictures showing how dirty my house was after a 5 hour clean (I have a two bedroom semi detached it should have been spotless) no action or refunds were provided or taken. They just “noted” my feedback.
Cleaners didn’t show up. Another person I had no idea of turned up 20 minutes late. A 2.5 hour clean turned into 5 hours as only one person showed so I had to cancel all my plans. They gave out my personal information to a different company breaching privacy laws. Terrible experience. No help at all from helping.com.au.
SCAM DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
Once you create an account and schedule bookings it is impossible to cancel bookings.
There is no local help in Australia. Emails, phone calls everything goes unanswered.
Non-existent customer service
I tried contacting Helpling customer service regarding a payment issue several times - Three emails, numerous phone calls (always went to voicemail, which stated to email them instead) - No replies, no call-backs, nothing. Non-existent customer service. Cleaner was average, and only worked approximately three hours out of the five I paid for.
Company is horrific -go somewhere else
Helping is just the middleman between customers and cleaners. And the take the cut for their service. Just that helpling's service is non existent.
There is No way to speak to anybody if there is a problem. Email only.
My cleaner (with whome am actually happy) was sick and advised helping that she cancelled that day. Yet helping failed to notify me!! Luckily I had my cleaner's personal mobile number. This agency is going to make your life more difficult
I used Helpling for a few months for a fortnightly cleaning and i have been very unhappy with their cleaners and services:
- High turnover of cleaners. This led to multiple people coming to my house with no knowledge of the house, my needs. I end up coming home with a very average job. Floors not cleaned, tables not wiped, bins not emptied etc.

Dirtier than before
I unfortunately engaged the services of HELPLING (remember the name people) for a regular cleaning service. First appointment - the person who was supposed to come did not and was reassigned to someone else (who knows). The worst cleaning ever, for two hours I got unswept floors, unmopped floors, mirrors and glass screens with streaks and dirtier than before she arrived, floors not vacuumed. Have been charged for this. Thank you HELPLING for reminding me to stand up for professional service and set standards of the dedicated and diligence for my clients.
Awful job - just want to take your money
I booked a cleaner in preparation for a party, provided instructions on the booking about needing the balcony tiles cleaned, benches and tables wiped, mirrors and windows cleaned. I wrote a checklist, paid extra for a balcony clean and showed the cleaner around identifying the items on the list.
I was charged for 2 1/2 hours of cleaning and all that was cleaned was wiping down of my (small) bathroom and kitchen benches being wiped.
I was so upset to see that what I had paid for was not done - but thought it might be a one off. Helping s...till charges me, took a week to respond to my complaint and a further week to tell me they were only refunding me $40 as there were other cleaning and expenses. They’re refusing to refund any more of my money (when they bother to respond). The cleaner also texted my personal number demanding to know why I had complained. Their claims about cleaners being vetted and only “trusted professionals” being used are doubtful. Their promise of excellent customer service is a flat out lie Don’t use helpling. Trust me. Take your business elsewhere!
cleaners never showed and i've been charged
The first time I booked my cleaner did not turn up even though I had taken time off work to be there. you can't call helpling which is the most annoying thing about it. they were responsive and organised me a cleaner for the next day.
the second time, the new cleaner was 45 minutes late so I had to leave for work. I have called twice and send two emails and no one will return my call or email. I have been charged for a clean I never had.

Cleaner cancelled three times
Organised and paid for it on their website but the cleaner never showed! You can't call anyone from their company and you can't leave a review on google... I wonder why...
Give these service a miss..
I have used Helping 3-4 times in the past, each time hoping the services would get better. Their cleaners are mostly students and some of them are not trained at all. Never on time and most importantly the cleaning is below average. I will not be using this service again.
Be warned you will be punished for leaving
After two cleans I cancelled the service as the cleaning was not up to scratch. They didn't even move things off tables etc to dust, they just dusted around them. I got charged $50 for leaving the company. Unbelievable.
I have only been using this service for a couple of months now and the cleaner has cancelled 3 times with very little prior notice. Also, it is very difficult to contact the company for help because they only offer an email address for customers which is not particularly convenient. This is a shame because when the cleaner did turn up the service was good value and quality.
BEWARE! DO NOT TRUST HELPLING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES...
My cleaner stole from my house, ate food in my house, went through the cupboards in my house, used my electrical appliances to cook food, did not clean the house yet still charged me, did not bring her own cleaning supplies, had diarrhea in the bathroom, admitted giving a third party access to my house and then simply left the house with this random person in my house, left the house prone to attack by leaving the key open to the public and damaged my house (dents in walls and damaging the tiles). I have spent the last 72 hours emailing and cal...ling Helpling to have the matter resolved yet receive no feedback at all!!! Helping have been absolutely disgraceful. Trust them at your own risk. They have shifted their operations offshore - unfortunately some of these people do not understand English very well making it very difficult to correspond. A complete and utter nightmare.
The Uber for cleaning. Affordable and best
Having used Helpling's services for few months now, I can say with confidence that the cleaning service provided by helpling are second to none. Service is just $29p/h and you get your placed clean really well. I used the same cleaner for few months and he was great.
