Died way too soon!
2 and a bit years out of warranty the temp in both fridge and freezer is well below what is required. I was advised by the service department it probably needs re-gassing at $180/litre for around 5 litres plus the cost of service call! No thanks - better value to buy a new one (Fisher and Paykel this time) and scratch Hisense off my list of preferred brands. On the other hand I have probably been spoiled - the Phillips I had before the Hisense lasted 36 years!! They sure don't make 'em like they used to!
Purchased in June 2014.
Holes the temperature so well and keeps everything fresh in the crisper ,
It’s very very quite can’t even tell it’s on
Very easy to clean and move to clean under neath so much space it’s just the right size for our family the freezer is a good size too
Has fallen apart and leaks
Loud fridge, sometimes it over freezes and sometimes not cold enough. All the shelvings and compartments have broken very quickly even though we are very careful. I have rang the customer service but they said it's out of warranty and won't help me at all. Not happy with this company's customer service skills
Rubbish-tall fridge, stainless steel
I really thought I was buying a bargain, great look and functions however, door continually bleeps. Had an engineer called out twice to fix a manufacturers fault. Basically, the wiring loom runs between fridge and door hinge and with opening and closing door, eventually fatigues the wire causing a short. Happened twice which was repaired under warranty however its happened again and warranty expired so won't be getting repaired. It makes me angry that companies such as Hisense don't rigourously test their products before unleasing on the public..., as it's the cheaper option. In addition the coating comes off even though we have only used a damp cloth. The fridge is cold in some areas and warm in others. For these reasons I won't buy any other products from Hinsense no matter how much of a bargain it appears as in the long term, it isn't.
Good price FRIDGE FREEZE BAD
The freezer over freezes then the fridge doesn't work OR the fridge works and the freeze doesn't paid to get this fixed and 2 weeks later its happened again. Zero service from manufacturers :-( I have had this fridge 3 years what happened to large expensive white goods lasting more than their warranty? land fill only
Bought and never worked properly from day one. Had it fixed under warranty which ahs now ran out and it still doesn't freeze stuff in freezer - don't buy it as it really doesn't work - had crayfish that went off - ice cream that defrosted - ice blocks that aren't ice blocks - its rubbish.
worst fridge i've ever come across!
Have been extremely unhappy with this fridge from the day it was bought. It has been adjusted to the coldest fridge and freezer settings since new, and still struggled to keep things cold/frozen. Now just out of warranty has got even worse. I will be contacting hisense to say i will never buy their products again.
Seals broke within 18 months. Not covered by warranty. Said they'd express post the seals (cost $47.50) express. They lied.
Never ever buy this fridge !!! Like everybody else massive issues with freezer. I don't have an issue with good guys. It is just a bad fridge that gives you a bloody headache. It's not worth it .
Cannot believe that Good Guys recommended this piece of Junk
The freezer part of this fridge just does not freeze food, we phoned Good Guys and they swopped it but 2 years laters and i am about to throw this fridge out on the next kerbside collection!!!
Do not buy
Menmybigmouth comments ditto.......Same problems. Sick of either the freezer not working or the fridge not cold enough to keep milk. What a joke. This company needs to give replacement fridges to those customers who bought these models as clearly there is a design fault. Department of fair trading here we come!!!!
Only the look of it
Product is faulty, does not function as a fridge should...cracked shelving 3 times...
Terrible product and terrible after sales service!
I bought this Hisense refrigerator in June 2010. It is a 460L and cost $800 on special. I wanted a top mount at the time so I had a limited choice in brands at the time in that size.
Since I got it, it has been unable to cope with a relatively full freezer and fridge. It is on the coldest setting (freezer and fridge share the same control) and bread goes stale and icecream goes to slop in the freezer even when both are half empty. I can see on the Good Guys website that someone else had a similar problem and Hisense's response was to turn t...he fridge off for 14 hours! As I have no plans to travel or move house in the imminent future I haven't tried this as yet. I just don't keep anything in the freezer that needs a higher temperature to maintain a frozen state which is annoying but I can't be bothered to buy a better quality product of another brand at this stage. My biggest beef now to add to this, is that both plastic vegetable crispers developed cracks in the corners within 20 months and one has completely cracked off at 22 months. I rang Hisense to get replacements under warranty. I was told that they are consumables like the light globe! What?- an integral component of the fridge is classed as a consumable? My last fridge (Kelvinator) I had for 10 years and had never been a problem with this so it is not the user but the quality of their product. I believe most people would think that they would get more than 20 months out of their fridge when they are buying it and stated this to Benjamin the Brisbane Team Leader. I have asked him umpteen times to send me the company policy stating that crispers are consumables but it is apparently an informal verbal company policy as it isn't written down anywhere. (i.e. just that anything that isn't bolted in place is a consumable!) I have also asked Benjamin to have Andrew, his Manager, to call me but apparently he is on indefinite leave outside the country! Sounds all very dodgy to me and that they are making extra revenue on replacement parts. So in summary, I will be lodging a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading Qld, but thought I might also warn some consumers out there about Hisense and their sub-standard refrigerator. Would have met my needs if it worked properly and didn't break Bad warranty service and general standard of product
Questions & Answers
Please confirm that the freezer compartment is frost free.
This fridge doesn't freeze properly and isn't very cold. I have a problem with it leaking water into the bottom of the vege drawers that then spills onto the floor when the drawers are opened. How do I prevent this?
Sorry I can't help. My HiSense died a couple of years ago and I went for Fisher and Paykel which seems good - so far. The trouble is that no white goods are built to last longer than 5 years these days. My fridge before the Hi Sense was a Phillips that I had for 37 years!! That was quality and value.
Please tell me what the warranty intake.
