Shocking picture quality.
Wasn’t expecting the world from a tv cheaper than other brands but for a $4000 tv (on sale) I thought the picture quality would be vastly better. I have a 7 year old 70” Sony that has arguably better quality and it’s not even a 4K tv. The screen looks like an uneven dirty mess on a uniformly grey screen and watching sport you notice how bad the screen colour/brightness unevenness is. Also watching sport there’s ghosting around the players and looks like resolution is changing every few seconds. The apps are hopeless as well. Kayo can hardly kee...p a HD picture and needs to load on a 100mb connection and it’s so slow to load menus. No problems using kayo on the telstra tv. Dunno about 4K upscaling either. Last hisense I purchase and I’d highly recommend avoiding to others. Also a nightmare getting it out of the box. Terrible instructions. Trying to return product but the good guys are blaming me for changing my mind asking for a 20% return fee for a RRP $5000 TV that looks like it cost $200. Highly recommend avoiding the good guys as well. Lost my business. ACCC complaint incoming. Just absolutely horrendous follow up from both Hisense and Good Guys. The tv was assessed as faulty and they keep buck passing between each other about returning it. Theres a strong likelihood you’ll get a dud unit and don’t expect any support if you do. Consumer law says the trader needs to collect the unit +/- the packaging in a reasonable time frame at their expense. Good luck getting them to adhere to those laws. I’ve been stuck with the unit for 5 weeks and counting.
Purchased in April 2021 at The Good Guys for $3,795.00.
