Hiwatt 50 watt transistor Guitar Amp – I purchased this amp as both a practice and small gig amp. Most practice amps lack clear tone and horsepower due to small speaker and low output they distort or crack up easily when cranked. The Hiwatt stays clean at volume and has a drive channel that emulates valve overdrive when 'driven'. The Hiwatt family retro look is appealing with well rounded cabinet tolex/vinyl coveted corners and edges.

The price is well below what this amp is worth and I would put this up against a Fender or Marshall that costs double, and we all know that a reasonable % of the 'major' brands cost goes to advertising. Has built in Reverb. Accessible Fuse with 'jug-lead' plug. Foot switchable reverb and channel switching. Great headroom responds well to pedals/ effects, light to carry fattens up the projection. 3 band eq allows tweeting amp to suit either humbuckers or single coil pickups. Jug lead and fuse. An included foot switch would have been a worthy inclusion.
