WARNING!! Possible death!

Car broke down and was being towed using the tow eye from the front...travelled approximately 5 metres and the tow eye and hook sheared off..they use Aluminium for the strength with no reinforcement..called Holden and they said Tow it to service centre...couldn't believe what they said...no tow truck will touch it and requires a forklift for it to be loaded and unloaded..which local mechanic doesn't have and guaranteed Holden wouldn't either...do not tow this car from the front..photos attached Show details

Was a great first car

Unlike some other people, my experience with the 2010 Cruze (Automatic) was very good!
Was always serviced accordingly, i looked after it, so it looked after me!
Never had a SINGLE mechanical issue with mine for the 7 years i owned it. I purchased it second hand with 20,000kms on the clock and sold it at around 120,000kms just over 2 years ago. Show details

Never in my life have I had such a lemon

Bought 2011 straight off the truck. First 3 years while is warranty the last of the Australian built Holden's was great. 6 months out and everything stated to fail, dashboard was lit up like a Xmas tree & the dealership could not find what was wrong. Spent more time in the driveway than on the road. Dealership replaced just about everything to get all the lights to go off. Now been sitting in the driveway again for 12 months, metal shavings again in the brand new power steering pump & now needs a new power steering rack! The Toyota altise of 2010 that is my parents never skips a beat. Calling the wrecker, never another Holden. Show details

Worst Holden vehicle ever made. Must read review if you are looking to purchase this car

Transmission blew twice, cost $4500 in total, 1st and 3rd cylinders misfired. Plenty of issues with the car, worst car ever, would not recommend to anyone. Had the 2011 CDX JG. Definitely Australia’s worst car. Slow, unreliable and definitely worth buying something else. Dealer offered me $1k, ended up private selling for $5k. Bought for 7.5k + around $6k in repairs so was a big loss on my end. Show details

If I could give 0 stars I would

I had this car for a year and drove it collectively for 3 months as the other 9 it was broken down. The car would stop in the middle of me driving on main road, coolant would boil and it was one problem after the other! Worst decision I’ve ever made purchasing one of these.  Show details

Just a new purchase

Just a new purchase...not sure yet as there is a couple of issues that need addressing. I will know more once I speak to a mechanic and see what the issue is

Transmission is utter garbage

Had no idea about the disgusting reputation of the reliablity of this car before purchase, but that has since changed quite rapidly. After being sold a 2009 auto cruze lemon (with only 80,000kms), i will never touch a holden again. Dont just take my word, this shitbox has a plethora of problems that can be elaborated upon by brief internet searches.

NOTE: my vehicle needs a tranny replacement, costs $3800 aud. Show details

Worst car owned

Missus owned this car, endless problems like everyone else. Finally transmission failed after 2 years of owning, paint fainted, endless electronic problems. Spent more to fix the car than it costs Show details

Holden Cruze JH

I have a 2013 holden Cruze hatch SRi2. Engine check light is on car runs fine, sometimes it turns off. But when I turn corners it jolts only sometimes . Doesn’t jolt any other time. Feels like driving with old Sparks and ignition coils but they were changed about a month ago.. Not to sure what’s making it jolt around corners? Show details

We have had a lot of trouble with our holden cruze 2009 model bu we are battling with having to replace the coolant bottle every couple of months. We went to my mums about halk hour drive and when we came out the coolant was running all over her drive. We travelled home and when we pulled in our drive it just all came out on out drive in big puddles. So sick of this car. We are on old age pensions and can't afford this car when all these things keep happening. Can anyone enlighten me whats going on? Thanks

It's defective & Holden won't admit their defective models. Mines a 2011 the only things that have not been replaced is the actual engine, chassis & panels
