Don't get one... constant electrical issues

We have had a lot of issues with our Holden Cruze. So many sensors needed replacing to the point where we would stop replacing them because the engine light would always come on for something else. Each sensor is a few hundred to replace plus the labour costs. It's been a nightmare. The car doesn't have much power either. Would never buy a Holden again. Show details

Fabulous to drive, quick to respond

With family members having side air bags makes it safe. Quick braking response.

Wifi for operating technology is sharp and trendy. Ipod, mobile phone linking and tablet hotspotting, kuds are entertained on long journeys. Tight turn table and roomy boot makes a responsive car with loads of shopping and luggage space. 3 large Samsung bags. Proud to be the last generation built in Australia!!

Reliable car!

Its has many practical and useful tools an expensive car usually have.It offers comfort, it as a sport version. Inbuilt GPS, reverse alarm. Never had a breakdown with this car even if i have drove nearly above 100km. Very strong built, medium size car. it is not noisy at all.

This car is rubbish

The car acceleration was very slow, If you turn aircon on it hardly accelerates, car has only done 60000kms and i sold it on 90000kms Transmission change gear laggy,as a small car its not much fuel efficient even with 1.4 turbo engine, this car is powerless it has very small and slow motor with worst transmission. Dont buy this car its waste of money.

Fire starter

This car is the equivalent to the 1959 Ford Edsel. A lemon! A car that was designed during the GFC and (allegebly) so many corners were cut it makes an old pair of scissors work hard. A car that some say will explode under certain conditions, a car with about as much resale value as a used pair of underpants, and (alledgebly) catches fire for no real given reasons.

Worthless after 6 six years

The JH Holden Cruze we have is six years old (bought brand new) and has only done 70,000kms.

The car cost approx. $26000 brand new and is now worth somewhere between $3000 and $4000 as a trade-in.

I would really advise that no-one ever buy one of these cars second hand. NOT EVER.

Hate this car. Worst car I have ever bought

So many issues with this car since the day I have bought this lemon, transmission, coolant leak, oil leak, spent nearly 5000 bucks on repairs, Mantello Holden Fawkner customer service is appalling, what a shame Holden, I would never buy Holden again. Customer beware don't buy this Terrible car, you would end up spending heaps on repairs.

Would have loved it, but for the fuel consumption

Has done 39k. Works absolutely fine without any trouble so far, not very fast off the lights, but let's me keep up with the traffic. Corners and handles very well.

Have two gripes:

1) feels underpowered on account of its body weight

2) burns a lot of fuel, get 14-16 litres/100 km driving in inner suburbs, which drops to 11-13 l/100Kms when I put in a 30-40% of highway driving

To sum it up, would have loved it but for the fuel costs....

Hi, I own a Holden Cruze JH 2012. I've had a problem where the car completely shuts off with no dash lights as if I turned the ignition off and the door locks go down. Any idea what could be causing this?
