Minor modifications required
Make no mistake. These are cheap sprinklers so don't whinge that they're not totally brilliant out-of-the-box!! I too had to deal with the problem of restricted water flow due to the clear filter baskets. I simply cut them in half and threw away the bottoms (I'm on filtered town water btw..) Problem Solvered!!! :-)
Purchased in February 2020 at Bunnings Warehouse for $12.00.
Poor performance and spray
Purchased 12 of these - disappointing spray and coverage. Not as marked on package - will be returning all of them to Bunnings maddington. Purchased only a week ago 10/2019 - have not been improved as stated.
Purchased in October 2019 at Bunnings Warehouse for $27.64.
Filters need replacing
Thinking Holman manufactured good products and these were relatively cheap I purchased 24 of these sprinklers only a few weeks ago - but, had it not been for this review site, I probably would have thrown these sprinklers away. I am aware of The throw and pressure problem has been temporarily remedied by removing the filters as suggested by another reviewer, and as another reviewer did, I will obtain some grey filters to replace them as soon as I can. My dissapointment is more squarely aimed at the manufacturer - do you not quality control the ...products you sell? Failing that, noting the date of some of the reviews, why do you allow products which have an obvious flaw to remain on sale, as is, with no indication of the problem? Lift your game, Holman.

Bad design, product could not have gone through a product test
I have place these sprinklers through all my lawn areas on 3 separate solenoids from the mains to maintain required pressures. I used all Holman products from solenoid through to sprinklers and 20mm PVC pressure pipe to sprinkler heads. I too have a problem of water not reaching 3.6m radius as marked, but actually I only need around 2m radius on most areas to achieve full crossover coverage of water application, and they cannot even reach that. The error in radius reached is random in terms of which sprinkler it is in the line, first to last. I...also rectified the radius coverage problem by removing the small plastic filter basket just as another commenter. They definitely go the 3.6m now. However, whilst this fixed the Radius issue, the sprinkler head then split the flow up so that it was in 3-5 single line shoots rather than the normal even spreading fan. I believe this is possibly caused by too much pressure coming through the line and hitting the sprinkler head with turbulence from the change in direction from horizontal line to vertical sprinkler. It’s not from obstructions, I’ve Flushed during operation even, unless Holman filter at solenoid is also not working. In other words, I think the filter basket is not only a filter but also meant to slow and control water flow to sprinkler head so they spread the water properly. They are essential for them to work properly. I will try the 4.5m sprinkler head now as another person has and see if that fixes the issue. Otherwise this was an expensive mistake. All other Holman products in my other 4 solenoid lines for plants seem to be working fine (mini sprinklers, dripapers etc) as are the solenoids themselves etc, all Holman. I have a K-rain automation system which I think is Holman too and this is excellent. So nothing against Holman, other products excellent for price. It’s just this sprinkler, it has a design flaw in my opinion. I bought these from Bunnings in January 2019.
The Holman SH2015P pop up has a design flaw. They should be removed from sale and the problem fixed
I have had the experience of most users of this product. The pop ups do not come up reliably. I installed 6 circuits with 3 pop ups per circuit. And I have lots of pressure. I then replaced all pop ups by Toro 580 50mm pop ups and they all worked brilliantly. By manually extending the pop up shaft on a Holman SH2015P and a Toro 580 pop up, the problem became apparent immediately. Its not a seal friction problem with the Holman pop ups. Its the resistance of the spring inside. It is much easier to raise the Toro pop up shaft because the spring ...has much less resistance. Holman pop ups need to simply match the spring resistance of the Toro pop ups and they will work well on at least 3 pop ups per circuit, which every other pop up product does!
Flimsy leaking parts that needed thread tape on the upper casing
Leaked from the top of the products. Sprayed everywhere. When replaced with similar products they worked perfectly. Really happy with the pope equivalent.Flimsy leaking parts that needed thread tape on the upper casing. The top of the head really needs more and tighter thread. Bunnings were happy to return to replace
Just don't work.
Nothing on the packaging is true...waste of time and money. :(. I spent ages trying to adjust the direction and coverage. Some pop up and dribble and some don't pop up and spray, but with no real purpose and direction. All in all its just too hard. Clearly its a case of penny wise pound foolish. Best I go and buy a decent product that works.
Holman Pop-Up Sprinkler (SH1000 & SH2000 series) - They Don't Last
My lawn has a few brands of pop-up sprinklers because it is an old pre-owned house. I damaged some sprinklers because of my careless mowing. So I replaced these damaged sprinklers first with Holman SH1000 series pop-up fixed nozzles, and later with SH2000 series adjustable nozzles.
After 2 years, these Holman pop-up sprinklers' riser seals have hardened and are preventing the risers to pop back after sprinkling. The nozzles seem unstable under the sun and have become brittle and powdery, and are starting to chip off. The adjustable nozzles p...roduce very weak spray, very much weaker than the fixed nozzle spray. Adjusting the screws at the nozzles did not help either. The other old pop-up sprinklers (at least 10 years old) like Pope and Gardenmate, put in by the previous owners, are still working fine and looking good. Replacing pop-up sprinklers is the most troublesome task, and it blemished the smooth lawn until the dug out patch grows back in 1-2 years. My experience tells me to use other premium brands.
The sprinklers work fine, but only if I manually extend the sprinkler head.
The issue is not how much pressure they take to run, but how much pressure they take to raise the head before that point.
Until the head is extended, water gushes out everywhere and ruins any pressure that you previously had.
The radius is nowhere near what it says on the packaging - particularly if you have it set for 360 degrees. I have good pressure and even with only 2 on the line the radius for 360 degrees is less than one metre. I doubt the packaging would pass a Consumer Affairs review.
Do Not Pop Up, Do Not Buy
I wish I did my usual diligence and reviewed the product before buying and installing. These are the worst pop up sprinklers you can buy! I cannot believe they are still available for sale. I have just noticed a Holman Rep has replied to peoples reviews, which I think is commendable, but I am yet to see a response where they have taken ownership of the issue. Instead they have responded saying they are not for TAP use!! I am sorry, but 90%+ of users would be using a domestic tap to run these. Please review your packaging to inform users of this fact. I am one of many that purchased this product from Bunnings, and I will be informing them of this faulty product and that it should be removed from there line.
Buy cheap. Buy twice! These are utter rubbish.
So annoyed I didn't read the reviews first.
I just spent 2 days digging up my old system (30+ years old) and replacing it with new. These simply don't pop up. They just flood the area around the sprinkler.
I've now got to dig these back up again and buy new ones. what a waste of time and money.
DO NOT BUY THESE SPRINKLERS. They're terrible.
Holman impact srinkler problem
I purchased a Holman impact sprinkler, it worked well covering a large area but it started leaking badly in the first year from a crack in the body, probably caused by the water freezing inside the sprinkler during winter, even though I drained the water & put it in the shed it didn't help, that's the second one with the same problem., the first lasted 2 years - poor bloody fool me - no more, I'm changing brands. If these products don't like cold temperature - THEN DON'T SELL THEM IN THOSE AREA'S
wasted my time and money
I am utterly disappointed with this product . I have invested over $100 on this rubbish and only wish I had read the reviews first . After spending 4 hours setting up 5 sprinklers for a new lawn I am now throwing the lot in the bin and buying a normal sprinkler . not Holman . don't buy this product !
Complete and utter rubbish
Bought these at Bunnings. We have excellent water pressure (1l per second) and can't get a handful of these to work. My experience is the same as everyone else's, they barely rise and just leak water. Frankly it's should be a crime to sell rubbish like this. Avoid like the plague.

Hello Rick, for product support, please call us on 1300 716 188.
Holmans Adjustable Drip Spikes, what a good idea I thought, purchased six nd is W’worths sofa water bottles, all set to go.
Proceeded to place these spikes, with bottle of water attached, and drip set at 9, at base of six pot plants and went on a weeks break.
On arriving home the bottles were still full of water. Considered I should have put a small hole in the base of the bottle. This I did and bottle emptied in about 30 mins. So how are these Spikes meant to be used? Thank you.
