No Water Flowing Through When Programmed & LED Display Script Lights Up & Timer Resets
Firstly, when these units work, they work brilliantly. But..there is a BUT though. Initially thought it was something I was doing as when I first installed the 400, it intermittently did not allow water to pass through the Water Whiz 400 it when programmed but it has now become more regular. The display shows the tap with water flowing symbol in the top of the screen, the timer clicks to open but no water flows through the designated outlet or any of the other 3 outlets. I also noticed that all the LED screen script light up & the time of day r...Read more
esets itself. I also have a Water Whiz 200 that has started to have the same problems in the past month. I will be looking at taking both units back to Bunnings for a replacement of both units. If they fail after replacement I will be getting a refund. These units are not cheap items with the 400 at $149 & the $200 at $99 so should last years at least but look only to have lasted 10 months. I have both units in weatherproof enclosures to protect them from the weather so weather damage is not an issue. I will be looking at other units if these fail again. December 23rd 2019 Update: Holman pls explain why solenoids continue to stick shut I have a Water Whiz 200 & 400. Let me say, these units work brilliantly..... when they work. I have just replace the failed 400 unit b/c the solenoids on outlets 2 & 4 would not open even though the solenoid made a click sound. This is an inherent problem with these units as indicated from the reviews. What is Holman doing to rectify this issue as I will be returning my units if they fail again & get a different suppliers unit or a refund. December 24th 2019 Update: Warranty replacement unit failed after 10 hours being reinstalled UPDATE: Installed the new warranty replacement Water Whiz 400. Tested it with no problem, all solenoids worked manually. Programmed it & waited for the scheduled watering to occur. NOTHING .... and the unit is only 10 hours installed. Checked the unit operation & NONE of the solenoids would operate even though they clicked signalling they were trying to open & the water flowing symbol was displayed on the screen. Reset the unit but still none of the solenoids would open. Checked the delay setting but it was 0. Reduced the pressure on the intake but still no operation. Holman, what is the issue with these units? Why are the solenoids not operating reliably? This is the fundamental system for operation. There is no way you can set & leave secure in the knowledge that they will operate as required. This replacement unit will be going back for a refund & I will be looking at other options.1 comment

Continually fails
Unreliable, turns itself off, comes back on with the wrong time. Great if you want your garden randomly watered. It's priced as a fairly premium product but right from the word go was not keeping time correctly and after only 6 months has completely failed. Cheap product in nice packaging.

Nice interface and flexibility. Would be perfect if it allowed water to pass through itself.
Loved the user interface and flexibility of programming. Four watering zones each with 4 individual programmable runtimes including frequency (select which days to water or the option to choose every second or third day) gives heaps of flexibility.
Unfortunately after a week it simply stopped working reliably. Had it replaced and that unit failed within a couple of days.

Buy Orbit ... you won't be sorry!
I bought the Holman Waterwhiz 400 4 zone watering kit and it's absolutely useless! I returned the first one to Bunnings only to find second had exactly same problems! Despite having pressure valves on each zone the unit is totally unreliable, my new Sir Walter Buffalo lawn had gone brown twice due to sprinklers not turning on as programmed. I've resorted to resort to using my old Pope Rainwave sprinkler to bring it back to life. Yes I contacted Holman but they're full of excuses wanting to blame me when I paid thousands to have professiona...Read more
l, award winning landscaper to do my garden ... Not happy Holman. Conversely my son's had the #Orbit 4 zone system working his garden (one in front, one in back) for the last 7 years without any issue whatever. As Bunnings don't stock it anymore I'm now going to return the Holman and order myself #Orbit system online. Steer clear Holman products is my advice. I'll NEVER purchase another holman product ... ever!!!2 comments

This is my second Holman Water Whiz 400 and I am having the same problem. This one has served well for nearly 2 years. I have three outlets connected. Of late the Holman is leaking once again from the neck of the unit. The flat top of the white neck has broken off from the body of the main neck. Can this part be replaced? Or do I now need to buy a new one again?

My holmans whiz 200 is leaking between the hose fitting and the body of the unit
How can I sort it out

Hi Adrian. Myriad possibilities and probably many you will have tried - but if it helps anyone? No knowledge of Water wiz 2, but looking at all my timers there would appear to common points. Let's start at the beginning. Disconnect any hoses and fittings attached to WWz. Turn off tap to unit and ensure unit is not set to supply water. Turn on tap. Is any water apparent. I have had a few issues with fitting to tap leaking, water dribbling down back and appearing at the bottom as a leak. If leaking from tap fitting, 'Nip' up tighness and check again. Check washer in connector and replace. Fixed?? OK no leak from connection. Is water still appearing at bottom - consider a hair-line fracture from either over -tightening connectors OR was unit exposed to frost. Get a new one and remove before your expected first frosts! No leaks, then check hose connectors on outlets. The rubber washers harden over time and either need a further 'nip' up from finger tightening, or replace the washers. Ensure hose is properly connected to hose connector and hose connector firmly 'snaps on ' to unit nipple connector.
Hope this has helped. Cheers.

I Have a Waterwhiz 400 and the zone #1 will not close. I have tried the reset function, the manual running of zone #1 for 1 min etc, but it still will not close zone #1. When I run the manual function on zone #1 it almost instantly shows reset on a blank screen.
Your earliest attention will be appreciated.
