Rusting
Have had the 125 for 18 months and pleased with it accept I'm a bit concerned about the rust appearing on and around the handle bars and forks. Parked under cover and well ventilated and can't seem to find if or where premature rusting is mentioned i any warranty. Show detailsOK

Great little bike
I recently purchased one of these for my wife who has never ridden before.I rode it 400 odd kilometers home. A bit of a slow trip, but a nice bike to ride, perfect for a learner and first time riding.
Very economical, 80+mpg in the old language.
I would recommend this bike for any new learner.
Some problems
Hi All,After almost 20 years of gap in my riding I have decided to go easy getting my skills back and got this little Honda CB125E. Right at the gate of the dealer, I could not take off as the engine was stalling at first gear. I was told that I need to wait longer (10-15 minutes? ) until it is warm and ready to go. So, after waiting for about 20 minutes, I was able to ride off. Next morning, I was unable to start the engine in my garage (20'C) no matter what I did, with and without choke for about 20 minutes. Then, playing with the choke co... Read more
untless times it finally started and I began my first ride filled with joy :-) However, at my first hard brake it stalled again and again and again. Then, after killing the engine, the exhaust fired like a cannon ! My first thought was to drain the fuel (the tank was full and I suspect the bike was intended as a demo ?) and try to fill with good new 95 BP petrol. But, it did not help, all the symptoms such as hard to start, stalls at brake still there. Also, the idle RPM is very unstable. Bike starts with very slow RPM and then within next 3-5 seconds RPM ramps up quite noticeably. Without a taxo it is hard to say what the idle RPM is, but it sounds differently all the time. Also, forgot to mention that the chain had more than 100mm slack :-( I understand that all this problems may be due to bike has to be run in first, but, I am a bit disappointed to be frank. If any suggestions, please feel free to comment. Cheers. Updated: Just got the bike from the service. It appears it was some problems with the carb adjustment. Now it runs well. Updated 2: At 500km have changed the oil. The BIG difference!!! It is much quieter and smoother now.Great around town

Points of praise for the Honda CB125E
- Reviewers often reported that this Honda motorbike is especially easy to clean and maintain. Many also appreciated that they were able to service and maintain their Honda CB125E themselves, saving them the money and time of having to go visit a mechanic.
- A lightweight build makes this motorcycle easy to manoeuvre. This helped to build up learner bikers’ confidence, even though this bike is not necessarily designed for speed or power, or superior acceleration, with its 124cc engine capacity.
- Fuel efficiency as well as other running costs are reported to be low, with the petrol tank also being generously sized, at 14L. If you’re not doing too many long-distance rides, you won’t have to refill too frequently if you opt for a full tank each time.
- A quiet riding experience was enjoyed by many reviewers, with any exhaust and mechanical noise being soft.
