This is the Bike they should of had when they stopped making XR's
This is a well built quality dual sport/enduro motorcycle, it doesn't deserve the bashing it gets for being a little heavier or lower in HP than its euro counter parts. any one that saids it's too heavy or low on power hasn't ridden one, because you can feel it's has a very low center of gravity which counteracts the weight, Honda have engineered this into it some how that might be why their not as worried about it being the lightest bike out there, and don't be fooled into thinking its weak either it will easily lift the front wheel with a twi...st of the throttle with the Honda factory sports/power up kit fitted (USA ecu and intake pipe makes it have 39RWHP see youtube) (you also can get a vortex ecu for it now if you want even more power) to sum it up simply this bike will do anything you want it to do, its a great all rounder that wont wear out with a few road miles , its happy tearing up the dirt , or even single track for that matter thanks to the factory thermo fan , and yet it will easily cruise at road speed smoothly all day if required, but the best part is this bike features a 3 ring piston!! unlike its euro counterparts which pretty much all use 2 ring pistons we know its going to last much much longer before needing a new piston , honda may say a 32,000km rebuild but i think that interval is rather premature playing it safe from what Ive observed on my bike in the 8000kms Ive put on it i'm not going to rebuild it till it either shows signs its burning oil or the valves are loosing spec clearance too fast (valve stretch or hammer) , only complaint i have with it is the seat is too narrow for long road trips , which is why i purchased a concepts aftermarket seat for it
