7 years and still amazing

I got it brand new 7 years ago and I can't be happier. Yes, it might not have all the gadgets but it very reliable. And speaking of gadgets, that camera in left mirror saved me multiple times. And I test drove a few new cars ( different brands) recently and this feature wasn't available and I don't know if I can live without it.
And speaking of reliability, only thing I replaced was a battery last year.
Will buy it again. 100% Show details

OVERPRICED for what you get

Car is used daily for short trips, shops doctor etc.
Car is serviced per book.
Have found the car to be good but expensive compared to competitors prices. My main complaint would center on servicing by the Honda dealer and the lack of urgency is repairing their own recalls. The last recall required me to make numerous calls to Honda to get action on the recall which I found very disappointing. Show details

Very disappointing - Engine oil leak and brake calipers need replacing at 73,000km

My 2015 Honda HR-V has been regularly serviced, only done 73,000Km of country driving, and has developed an oil leak at back of the engine (breather plate) and the brake calipers need to be replaced at the cost of around $1500!I purchased this vehicle new and this is not what I expected from a Honda vehicle I paid good money for. Yes it's out of warranty but having expensive parts fail so prematurely is not acceptable quality for the price. And Honda are not willing to cover the cost of repair. I have owned several makes of vehicles over the last 40 years of driving and this is the first one to have let me down with so few K's on the clock. I can't recommend the Honda HRV I'm afraid.  Show details

Car used for general use around town
Mostly every day
Car serviced every 12 months. A journalist for the Courier Mail advised me that the road noise is caused by cheap tyres. Show details ·  1

Great medium size car

I use my car for general everyday use and long distant drives very comfortable, it gets serviced at the Honda dealership in Maitland when it is due. It would be handy if it had air conditioner ducts in the back of the car other than that it is a great car to drive. Show details ·  1

Economical, roomy car

Reliable daily use car. Handled longer drives well for holidays, etc. Not being a big SUV means parking is no problem. But there is plenty of room in back seat for tall passengers. Plenty of safety features and extra controls for comfortable driving like cruise control. Can be some cabin noise at higher speeds. I have owned it for nearly two years and I have not had any mechanical problems. I get it serviced yearly. Show details ·  1

Great value for money

We are elderly and use our car daily - mainly for local running (20km radius) but occasionally do a longer trip. Everything on our HRV has kept operating as it should since new and the many warning signals and driving aids are very helpful. Because of this we class our car as very reliable. Fuel consumption is modest and satisfactory. The road noise is more than we would like and the suspension at times seems a bit hard but over all we are delighted with the HRV S and regard it as great value for money. Show details ·  1

Good but not perfect

The air conditioning screen is too low because you have to reach around the gear selector when it is in Drive to reach it and you have to look down at the screen which means you can't see the road for that time. If it was higher then you could look at the screen and you would still see the road in your peripheral vision. So that would be safer. Some of the options in the main screen could be there because some of them cannot be selected while the car is moving. Show details ·  2

A useful vehicle , nice to drive

I use the car for short local trips , i.e.shopping locally and occasional longer trips.
i use the car almost daily.
The car is serviced when recommended. No issues though we were told there was a recall on this model but so far no further contact from the dealer.
Aircon system could be better. Central screen not good visibility in sunlight esp. sat nav. could have folding mirrors. Show details ·  1

Great family transport

Our family car is used every day mainly for shopping excursions and attending medical appointments. Its capacity to hold three incapacitated adults in comfort while offering the capability to load large loads of groceries (7 freezer bags) is very much appreciated. All services are done per the manual at the Honda dealer. Show details ·  1

20k Service

Why haven't Honda their own servicing department with proper facilities???? VERY poor facility at Springwood, worse experience i have experienced, better service at a backyard mechanic. There must have been 20 cars lined up waiting to drop off cars in the underground. Expect better honda, Brisbane not much better.

Great small SUV but audio system poor

Drives really well. However I’m not impressed with apple CarPlay. It keeps dropping out as does Bluetooth. After 2 weeks of having the car it is booked to be reviewed  Show details ·  1
