Honda HRU194
what a steal!
21 years as a contractor...my right shoulder bears the wear and tear of literally tens of thousands of pull-starts...now at 63 I run hondas exclusively, because they are so much easier to start! Bought the old hru194 for $70, new plug, couple of quick oil changes, new blades nuts and bolts, air filter pre-cleaner and what a champion...easy to start and light as a feather....if you are a contractor and want some advice...buy up well looked after second hand Hondas with the snorkels if possible, if you get the right ones they are unbeatable value...Read more
and believe me, in the years to come, your shoulder will thank you!...the new motor on the latest models is nice but at this stage a snorkel kit is unavailable...not a good thing for commercial mowers imho....how about a snorkel on the new ones Honda?Purchased in November 2019 for A$70.00.

Bought one for $70
I remember my parents having one of these in the 1990's, so when one popped up on Gumtree I wanted it. A new spark plug, air filter, blades and 3 oil changes later (I don't think it had ever had an oil change in its life) and it runs absolutely beautifully. Starts first pull every time, does not smoke, revs up smoothly and cuts grass effortlessly. These units were built to last unlike the cheap Chinese junk you buy today.
Purchased in June 2019 for A$70.00.
