It is a nice car but service is a problem

I has been driving the car for a few years. It is easy to handle, very suitable for city driving. Big room for family ride.

The only issue a the service provided by a Honda dealer. One of the side mirrors was damaged. Then the camara for parking was no longer alligned after the mirror was fixed. I also paid $200 for a Honda spare part but they replaced me a genenic one that can be bought online for $40.

This is not good enough. Good car, but be wise to pick a good dealer for service. Show details

good car but a couple of problems

So we travel a lot and this car is sooooo reliable. Only two things have become a problem. Firstly the fake leather is rubbish and falls apart on the luxury model i own. Secondly the rear suspension has become so soft that each set of tyres has worn the inside tread out from bottoming out inside the wheel well. Admittedly we have put some heavy loads in the car for long distance travel ie a car fridge, luggage but only two or three people.

2013 Odyssey = Best for running around town with a load full of "smelly" kids

In 2013 we've traded in our forever problematic VW Tiguan for a Honda Odyssey....what a far cry!!!

Super easy to drive, plenty of space, comfortable, and I didn't need to pay in excesses of $800 for service..... like the Tiguan !!!

What I like the most is the dual air-cond with third row vent + second row controller - in our case that really helps, especially when I'm with 4+ kids in the car after footy.

The engine is more than adequate for city driving, but it will struggle with 7 people + cargo box in your way to Gold Coast......(and make sure U are not in a rush :).... Saying that the car is very comfortable and long trips are easy to manage.

The only option for fuel economy and a large family

I'm about to have a 3rd baby and needed an occasional 7 seater. I didn't want a large van that drives like a bus and really did not want a large suv that uses heaps of petrol. This one seems to tick al the boxes. Heaps of boot space with the back seats down. I'm able to fit 3 car seats across the 2nd row (2 sns maxi riders and sns saftey capsule). When we have visitors the 2 carseats go into the back row and guests sit in the middle row. With the back seat up i can dtill fit in luggage and a pram. There is plenty of leg room in the 3rd row. It is really smooth to drive but totally gutless.

Nice car shame about the donk

Nicely finished good turning circle but with all six of us in it it is very sluggish. Not sure why every place on earth gets it with a V6 but us, but they do and I'm not happy. My CX9 has far more grunt and luggage space so I'm skipping it for now. If CX9 ever comes with a diesel it will steal this segment but an Odyssey with a V6 would also be something to seriously consider. If you do most of you km by yourself but need the space on the odd occasion then just buy it.
Finish excellent and engine is smooth and quite
Does not cut it with a big load on board and lets face it that's it's fundamental purpose. Show details

great, but struggles when fully loaded

great car, small turning circle, smooth engine, plush leather in luxury model. decent amount of space with seats 6/7 in use, enough for small stroller and bits and pieces on top. looks good (space ship as some ppl say) seating postions good and adjustment is great, so both wife and I can change to comfortbale position. Did struggle when fully loaded with about 160 -180 kg of camping geat at the back/in pd and 4 people in it when going up some hills.
nice feel, comfy, small turning circle.
alittel more grunt would be good Show details

Is there such a thing as a "cargo" odyssey? I want only a 2- seat van -driver/passenger

Dusty

no such thing unless you purchase a 7 or 8 seater and remove the two rows of seats !
