Don't have an accident in Odyssey VTi - L

Very nice vehicle. 2500km with driver and 5 passengers not a problem until.......Had a run in with a roo north of Perth. Damage to front grill, bonnet, one headlight and AC condenser. Had to wait 4 weeks fro repairer to get parts ex Japan. On re assembly repairer found problem with radiator - guess what - another 4 weeks (over the Xmas holidays) for delivery of radiator from Japan. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Honda you should be ashamed of the parts service provided!

So, if you think you MAY have an accident DON'T buy a Honda Odyssey

2014 Honda Odyssey only one remote key and one service key

This is very inconvenience that has only one remote key and have to share between partner. We also very disappointed to know to add an extra key have to pay $400 plus on this $43K drive away car.

Nice car shame about the donk

Nicely finished good turning circle but with all six of us in it it is very sluggish. Not sure why every place on earth gets it with a V6 but us, but they do and I'm not happy. My CX9 has far more grunt and luggage space so I'm skipping it for now. If CX9 ever comes with a diesel it will steal this segment but an Odyssey with a V6 would also be something to seriously consider. If you do most of you km by yourself but need the space on the odd occasion then just buy it.
Finish excellent and engine is smooth and quite
Does not cut it with a big load on board and lets face it that's it's fundamental purpose. Show details

great, but struggles when fully loaded

great car, small turning circle, smooth engine, plush leather in luxury model. decent amount of space with seats 6/7 in use, enough for small stroller and bits and pieces on top. looks good (space ship as some ppl say) seating postions good and adjustment is great, so both wife and I can change to comfortbale position. Did struggle when fully loaded with about 160 -180 kg of camping geat at the back/in pd and 4 people in it when going up some hills.
nice feel, comfy, small turning circle.
alittel more grunt would be good Show details

Good

Nice car , dont buy one with over 75,00 km as they dont last long like all Hondas . Ever wondered how they build such nice cars for a reasonable price ?? Try trading it in at a Honda dealer with 120,000km on it ,,, they are dead to us.
Good presentation , nice features ,

Great for long distance

Bought my 2005 luxury Odyssey form Mornington Peninsula Honda. We drove to Darwin Jan 2010, then onto Townsville, currently still in Townsville. I am discharging from Army Aviation in early 2012 and will be driving home to Melb.

I found on the long trips to fill with premium fuel to get better economy...
no trouble
found nothing yet

Roomy with plenty of room it comes in handy

Its been a great car we have had it for 2 years wit out any problems. Just change the oil and filters for trouble free motoring.
Reliable , comfortable, roomy, cool in summer
When fully loaded could do with so extra horses under the bonnet.

Excellent

Best car i have ever owned (Number 37) Great Honda quality, After almost 150,000K's, Tyers and regular servicing are the only things i have had to have done, plus two factory safety recalls. Kids are rough on the interior, but it holds up well. we have a luggage roof pod (solves space problem.)Beautiful car, Highly recommended car for any family in need of more than 5 seats.
Fantastic car, comfortable ride, excillent reliability. low service costs, seats 7 in comfort (for a car like people mover)
Low on power(good enough for the speed limit though)

OK

last week i went for a drive in my friend's honda odyssey 2005 and i have to say that it felt quite comfortable to drive and it seemed to hug the road nicely, it was quite easy to use the various electronic devices and so on
this car looks great and it also handles well especially for its good size
as seems to be the case with so many hondas that i have either owned or driven in with friends there is not too much storage space - i am sure that the designers could have done a better job here

Good

My partner owns this car, whilst im not allowed to drive it very often! i have to say its a really smooth quiet car. When purchasing the car, the honda team are very welcoming and nice to deal with. as it should be.
Smooth comfy ride, fantastic service, fantastic price and good mileage.
little storage

Excellent

this car really has excelled itself it looks great it has pleanty of features and heaps of room ihave had the opportunity to travel in one these lovely cars and it was an extremely comfortable ride it handled on the road with the greatest of ease it glided along with no effort at all. we had three adults in the back seat two of us were big frames and it was more than comfortable, we all had pleanty of leg room as well as height space, very wasy to get in and out of.
Very nice looking car real style and sleekness
a little low to the ground though i thought

Good

We did our homework on all people movers and found the Honda Odyssey far outweighed the rest. Holds it value well so is also great for resale.
Comfortable to drive. Very roomy interior even when all 7 seats are in use. I love the height as it doesn't feel as though you are driving a small truck. Perfect for getting in and out. I love the way the seats are positioned with 3 seats behind the driver and room for 2 at the very back, that way when you have 3 passengers behind you can fold the boot completely down. The boot space is huge with the seats down. The four doors are a big plus. The whole car has airconditioning points, not just the front half like alot of other brands.
The blind spot on the driver's side is a bit tricky.

Excellent

Excellent buy, when I moved to Australia it was sad to see my Honda Odyssey go. I've been trying to find one in Perth, and instead stumbled across a useless KIA CARNAVAL which died on us after just 8 months leaving me and 4 kids carless!
A very reliable car, never had any major problems and I owned one for 4 years. The tires were the only things that I had to change.
Hard to park.

Bad

We are about to trade ours in after only having it for 6 months. Bad visibility and impossible anchor point positions.
Sleek styling - leather seats, good console etc.
Very badly designed for anchor points for car seats, very poor boot space when all 7 seats up (can't fit slimline pram), dangerous blind spot front both sides.
