Great at 1st but disappointed
I was so excited when I got this vac about two years ago and was telling everyone how awesome and handy it was. We have both carpets and hard floors and while it does a great job with picking up stuff it’s forever getting blocked. It’s so hard to keep clean and the battery time never lasted quite long enough to do the rooms I needed. However it’s been a lifesaver with small children to be able to quickly clean without needing to pull out a corded vac.

Ive heard fantastic things about the Dyson even though the godfreys sales staff told us the Hoover was sooo much better than the Dyson I’m left feeling like I was scammed. My next stick vac I’m thinking of trying Dyson unless Godfrey staff look after me by replacing my Hoover parts.1 comment
This Vacuum is rubbish
Only 18 months old and the machine won’t run for more than a few seconds.
Have been told it’s a battery issue. $100 + postage and only lasted such a short time! I’ll never buy from Godfreys again, and certainly never a Hover.

Worst machine ever purchased!
We’ve sent our Hoover air stick pro off twice for repair already. Only 18 months old and now it has died again. All stores closed so we are left with nothing! Your salesmen should not be allowed to oversell this product with comparison to a Dyson! We, along with most people here who have left a review have all been told it’s better than a Dyson by your salesmen! Worst customer service also. We have not heard back from your customer service team yet. What happens when the warranty runs out! We paid $600 for this and would expect it to last longer than 18months! Stay away from Godfreys if you don’t want to conned into buying an expensive and unreliable piece of crap. Will be going to ombudsman unless resolved ASAP

You never get a good review on this product yet the people who bought it are just supposed to deal with it breaking down continuously. Oversold by Godfrey salesman
Bought it 1 and a half ago. 8 months in battery had to be changed. 3 week wait. This is the worst vaccuum cleaner I have ever owned. It just doesn't pick up dirt. I chase the dog fur around the room it literally blows the fur away as you get close. It needs cleaning out every time i use it. Gets clogged. The box of accessories have got in the bin a year ago as one would never use them. Cost over 500 bucks!! Will never use Godfreys again either.

I used to own Dyson it failed and they sent an engineer who fixed it at my house for free. My mother had a Hoover for 30 years ,bullet proof and never went wrong. Waste of $500
I brought this vacuum 2 years ago and only got between 6 months to a year out of it and then it just stopped turning on. I didnt even get a chance to use the assessories that came with it, they are still in the box. I paid $500 for this vacuum cleaner that was recommended to me by the Godfrey's worker. I wanted a good stick vacuum and was happy to pay more for a good one but this vacuum is far from good and I got ripped off. $500 Is alot of money for something that only lasted 6 months

Not worth twenty cent
Bought in 2018 from Godfeys, not used even once a week on laminate and short pile mats, nothing but trouble. Battery life very short, cuts out on high speed after 10 seconds. JUNK.

Worst vacuum cleaner ever!!!
Paid $600 for vacuum/accessories. Cuts out constantly. Took it back, was told nothing wrong with it. Can’t use it for 2 minutes without stopping .... and suction not great. Wouldn’t recommend.

Wouldn't buy Hoover again not anything from Godfrey's
State the facts:
Had the Hoover ~18 months
A fair bit of cleaning required regularly
Does not like high pile carpet, ok on hard floors
Now cuts out on high after a minute.

Shocking machine
Bought this piece of junk machine for $600 in 2018, have had the worst worst luck, in that time the battery had been changed about 4 times, it clogs up, the roller head has been replaced as it stopped working, it has stopped again so I can’t vacuum with the price of rubbish.
When I use it it will automatically go on to the slower setting, shut down and not work, it will then take another 2 minutes to turn back on (fully charged mind you) it’s just rubbish, and godfreys are a bunch of clowns, shocking service, went in to ask for help and tried ...

DONT BUY!!!! LEMON
Clogs all the time. CUT OUT AFTER ONE MINUTE. We bought this approximately 15months a go and it was a waste of money. Especially what we paid. This was also recommended by the salesman in the Fairy meadow store. I refuse to take it back and be charged more by Godfrey’s for servicing especially when every comment I read agrees with my review. Very disappointed. Price of crap.

How about a good review for a change.
I have been using the little Hoover for 3 or 4 years with great success. Just in between main vacs but keeps the tiled and carpeted floors free of walked in or spilt debris. Yes i have to empty the collector after every use but that's expected on such a small machine. Before i found out the hard way, i did get a clogged up hose but since clearing it have not had a problem. It has just started stopping frequently so may have to do something about that. All in all delighted with its performance.

When it works it works well, i am also having trouble with it shutting down on high speed and now it doesn't work for longer than a minute on low speed. Its only been used probably 30 times over the last 18 months since i bought it, it seems to be a common problem reading the reviews, how does one get this fixed?

Disappointed
Bought the Hoover Stick from Godfreys Fairy Meadow about 18 months ago - within 12 months whilst under warranty took it back as the unit wouldn’t switch off so had to run it till battery went flat and it also cut out every time I used the turbo mode - sent it away came back fixed but did not have the same power - took it back again only to get offered another brand vac stick which I was going to have to pay a few hundred dollars more - sorry very disappointed in the Hoover And now looking at replacing it - so no don’t think it is worth the money I paid for it.

Waste of money and no customer service
Bought this ‘you beaut’ vacuum for $550 from Godfreys Carindale October 2016. It was in storage for 1 year while we travelled. There are just 2 of us in a townhouse. Carpets upstairs and tiles downstairs. Took it back to Godfreys at Noosaville September 2018 as we were having trouble. No way of getting in to unblock the tube. It came back with a new head with a trapdoor to get in to clean the tube - obviously a design fault. Took it back January 2020 as There was no suction. Hoover Air Stick Very Disappointing
Paid extra for the ”ubeaut” extra powerful Hoover Air Stick Pro. Was bought as a birthday present. I too bought it from Godfreys and they offered free servicing then promptly closed down. They could have told their customers where to go to have it serviced - but nothing. After 1 year the battery died and was replaced under warranty. Then new battery died after 6 months. Nothing but trouble
The salesman assured us we were getting a good deal how ever it constantly blocks up and the battery doesn’t last long half hour at the longest and that’s not even on turbo. Very frustrating. The hose split about Christmas time and has added more frustration and if that’s not all my husband took it to godfrys and they told him the battery only has a year warranty and the vacuum has a 2 year warranty more frustration

Disaster Purchase
This so-called vacuum cleaner is the most poorly designed piece of equipment ever built. Run it over a carpet for 5 minutes and it becomes totally blocked. It just pushes dirt around. I have never seen any debris in the lower chamber as the tubes become blocked. A Class Action should be started against Hoover and Godfreys. !!!!!. If they had any conscious they would refund every purchaser at least $500.00

Agree with all the above. Worst vacuum ever. Picked up a $99 from Aldi & stomps all over this one.
Godfrey’s obviously knew these were crap & had to shift them, hence all salesman hype. Should gave to refund everyone for false advertising. Shame on you!

Unbelievable!
Further to my original review some months ago..was told by Hoover ...”You should keep in mind that the Hoover Air Stick Pro Is only meant to be used for QUICK PICKUPS when it wasn’t necessary to use the vacuum cleaner” ...$600+ to do what can be done with a $3 brush and dust pan??? How arrogant are Godfreys? Do they think all women are that stupid? What planet are these people on? Over priced piece of garbage, and to think the rotten thing blows anything light away and which it is incapable of sucking up! ..So much for QUICK PICKUPS! Obviously manufactured specifically for Godfreys and nothing to do with the original Hoover brand!

Worse vacuum ever!!!
Use just for 2 mats. No animals. Brought from Godfreys Bunbury 2 years ago . Told it was better than Dyson. Have to unscrew everything to look at what could be the problem. Cuts out after 1 minute. I clean it all the time. Paid $599. Waste of money. Will never go back to Godfreys again.

The batter for the Air Stick Pro 5223 can be accessed via the cover on the back of the handvac.
This is shown on page 7 of the user manual.
Replacement batteries can be purchased through your nearest Godfreys store or over the phone with us by calling 1300 360 845.

Hi, I love my Air Stuck Pro but at the moment it loses suction after about 1-2 minutes. I have to turn it off and back on, sometimes the suction stops after a few seconds to a couple of minutes. I recently got a new battery. I've cleaned and checked everything but no luck.

Has he filter recently been replaced? It is recommended to replace the filter every 6-9 months.
There may also be an issue with the PCB, to check this the machine will need to be taken into your nearest Godfreys store and booked in for inspection.
